What is April Fools Day and how did it begin? Well, that is a very good question. The origin of this holiday is rather uncertain. However, the common belief holds that during the reformation of the calendar the date for the New Year was moved from April 1st to January 1st. During that time in history there was no television and no radio so word spread slowly. There were also those who chose to simply ignore the change and those who merely forgot. These people were considered "fools" and invitations to non-existent parties and other practical jokes were played on them. "All Fools‘ Day" is practiced in many parts of the world with practical jokes and sending people on a fool‘s errand.

Another thought is that the origin began with the celebrations of the Spring Equinox. While some believe it has to do the a Roman festival known as Hilaria, the end of the Celtic new year.

In Scotland, April Fools Day lasts 48 hours, day two is know as Taily Day and pranks involving the posterior are played. The victim of the practical joke is referred to as "hunting the gowk"; the gowk is an extinct cuckoo bird.

In France, he is the "poisson d‘Avril" or "fish of April." The fish in April are newly hatched and easily caught. French children enjoy taping a picture of a fish on their friends back and yelling out "Poisson dAvril!" when it is found.

Da de los Santos Inocentes is held in Spain on December 28th. This is The Feast of the Holy Innocents. It‘s celebrated similarly to April Fools‘ Day with practical jokes.

Nowadays the newspaper possesses considerable value Everybody should read

it. It supplies us with a variety of news every day. It tells us the political

situation of the world. If we form the habit of reading the newspaper， we shall

get enough knowledge to cope with our circumstances.

现今报纸拥有极大的价值，人人都就应看它。它每一天带给我们各种类类的消息。它告诉我们世界政治局势。如果我们养成看报的习惯，我们就能得到足够的知识来因应我们的环境。学生虽然每一天须做功课，但他们至少就应匀出一两个小时来看报。那么，他们不但能增加知识而且也能赶上时代。总而言之，看报对学生很有益处。

窗外，又响起了一片春雨声。自那天起，这已是第四次了，但在我心中，真正的春雨只下过一次，在那个属于我的季节中，不断地被回放。

“哗！”，打开一把白雨伞，从车中出来，我走入这绵绵的春雨之中。柔柔的春雨一次次地轻拂着我那曾被眼泪浸湿的面庞，现在，即使早已风干，徒留泪痕，眼中的悲痛却迟迟未散……

那是个下着雨的早晨，我匆匆地冲进校门，汗水和着雨水在我眉毛上闹着，不时凝在其上，却又在激烈的震动中从鬓角落下。奔上楼梯，步伐越来越快，脚面开始变烫。突然，拐角的楼梯上转出一个人影，我赶忙刹住脚步，那人也转过身来。“老师？怎……怎么是您？”那熟悉的长发，闪光的眼睛，没错，正是我们的语文老师，“虞老师早上好！”后知后觉，我赶紧问好。可是老师没有说话，只是笑了笑，便飞快地奔上楼去。我的耳畔中，仿佛回荡起一声轻微的哽咽，地上，也留下了一串晶莹的泪珠。我带着疑惑跑回教室，教室中，一片死寂，所有人都僵硬地坐着，没有打闹，也没有人说话，这紧张的气氛让我不敢打扰。第一节是语文课，可是虞老师却出乎意料地迟迟没有到来。我回想起老师那双微微发红的眼睛，她的长发仿佛白了好几根，忧郁的面庞又多添了几道皱纹，心头一阵悸动。正当我思绪连连之际，门突然开了，数学李老师走了进来：“虞老师有事，我替她来上课。”李老师在讲完话后，眼睛立刻看向了地面。听了这话，我多半放下了点担心，可也是因为李老师这不自然的动作，我已经确定是虞老师出了什么事了。

数学课要接近尾声了，我失神地看向窗外，天不阴，但这春雨还在下，在我眼中是茫茫一片，每条雨丝都像一根针，扎得我的心是那么痛。刮过一阵风，越来越密的雨，愈来愈阴的天，一下下地撕扯着我那颗支离破碎的心。

突然，雨中传来什么声音，不像是雨声，更像是一阵阵的掌声。下课铃在那一刻响起，我以最快的速度冲出了教室，想要一探究竟。

我顺着声音来到校门口，不知什么时候这里铺了一张红地毯。校领导们站在两旁，校长追着一个人奔向校门，想让她待在雨伞下，可她总是一次次的躲开。我一脸不解，直到，我看清了那张脸——虞老师！那个身影在走进车门的一刹那，暮然回首，看向我的方向。不知怎得，一股热泪从眼眶中奔涌而出，尽管我不信地擦着，可它，就是不停……

那是我与老师见过的最后一面，听说，她是回总校去了。虽然她不肯，可是毕竟只是一位老师，她也无能为力。虽然她的身影不断地开始模糊，但那张春雨中的脸，却从未消散过。

春雨哗哗地下，泪水又情不自禁嗒嗒地落下，那和蔼的面庞，又在眼前浮现，那最后一个春雨绵绵的日子，已经永远地过去，那个属于我的季节，也永远，停留在了这一刻……

What are friends? We often talk about the topic with others. I think

friends are those people who can help you when you are in trouble. Don’t forget

the saying, “A friend in need is a friend indeed.” Friends can tell you your

mistakes, though what they say is hard for you to listen to. You can share your

happiness, trouble and worry with friends. Someone also says, “You can’t walk

any step without a friend.” So I think friends are very important to us. I would

like to make as many friends as possible.

Guangzhou is the capital of Guangdong Province. Its a large modern city

that develops fast. There are many tall buildings in Guangzhou. Most of them are

office buildings. I hope I can work in them one day. The streets are clean and

wide. You nearly cant see rubbish in the streets. Citizens like cooking very

much, especially soup. Cantonese cuisine is one of the most popular cuisines in

China that cater to many peoples taste. Guangzhou citizens friendly welcome

people from all the country even all over the world with their delicately cooked

cuisines. This is a direct way to show their hospitality. In short, Guangzhou is

a fantastic city that is worthy of visiting.

锦江春色来天地，绿树浓荫夏日长。无边落木萧萧下，胡天八月即飞雪。一年四季都有不一样的精彩，春夏秋冬总有属于我的季节，在那时绽放我的精彩。

站在高高的领奖台上一直是我的梦想，而终于有一天，梦想成真。

三月的春，遍地杂花似锦，生机勃勃。让我本就高兴的心情更加愉悦。那天我拿到了梦寐以求的比赛通知书，兴奋的话都不会说了，迫不及待的跑出了教师，举着通知书狠狠的亲了几口。这通知书来之不易，是我付出了好几年的汗水所的来的。

春天的树叶，绿的像要滴出了油一般，也许是这样让我像不知疲倦一样，疯狂的练舞。

终于，我登上了那华丽的舞台，宽阔的场地，斑斓的灯光，令人热血沸腾的歌曲，旋转，跳跃。音乐停止，我的动作完美收场。观众席上热烈的掌声让我觉得这一个月以来的付出没有白费。我紧张的走到后台坐下，等待的我成绩，时间一分一秒的过去，我的手心因紧张充满的汗水。终于，我听到了我的成绩，排名第一。我开心的快要疯掉。

我激动的在掌声中走向领奖台。那一刻烟花的天空中绽放，我人生的精彩也在鸟语花香的春天中绽放。

春是一个美好的季节，大地复苏，草绿花红。如我们的青春一般生机勃勃。我的精彩，也在这里绽放。

在有风的季节里，听风而沉醉，听风而嗤笑……

又是一年春季，或许那些万物都还揉着惺忪的睡眼，等待那一阵暖暖的春风将它们轻轻唤醒。哦，你看风姗姗来迟，正愧疚着迎面走来。风，来了，它试图轻轻抚摸着万物们的额头，在它们耳边低语。而万物们伸着懒腰，缓缓地爬起来。听，风播撒下那些希望的种子，发出的那悦耳的“呼呼”声，仿若是母亲那一句句关心、一句句抚慰的话语。

夏，永远是那么闷热，那么乏味，使得人们也觉得无聊且漫长。夏风，是“夏日的暖流”，风一来，人们更是焦躁难耐。听，风又来了，它身上似乎有一股火药味儿，浓浓的焦灼感扑面而来。闷热的天气，多想让大雨淋一场。恼人的风过后，果真，下起了倾盆大雨。谢天谢地，火药味儿终于散了，风里总算是流露出一丝凉意。

季节的转盘终于指向了秋天。比起夏风，秋风是那么豪迈。风播下的希望的种子，在秋日里，换来了丰收，果香飘扬，传向四面八方。而风，更像是一位豪迈的大诗人，吟诵着秋的诗篇。美秋，你因有风，换来了多少人的心欢，多少人的赞扬。

冬日也有风，但却是寒风，令人畏惧的寒风。“沙沙”，风来到了大树的身旁，仿佛想从它身上获得温暖。此时，太阳的光并不强烈，风又湿又冷，早已失去了那明媚的朝气。它兜着大树转了一圈，打着抖去拥抱大地，企图获得一些热量。它的身上还继续散发着冷气。瞧，风是那样寒冷，哪怕阳光的抚摸也带着丝凉飕飕的冷意。

这是有风的季节里，一年四季，循环无常，美哉！

When asked about work preference, different people will give different

answers. Some people like working with people. However, others prefer jobs which

mainly involve objects or machines.

Those people who have the first preference believe working with people

usually makes one feel interesting and efficient. In addition, they maintain

people can be inspired to bring forward new ideas by communicating or consulting

with those around them. However, still others have different preferences. In

their opinions, working with objects or machines can make one enjoy more peace

and quiet. Besides, they argue, under such peaceful conditions, one can do more

practical work, improve his skill and make technical renovations.

Weighing up these two kinds of work, I prefer working with people. For one

thing, I like to cooperate with others and work in a team. For another, although

there are competition and rivalry, we can learn something from other people.

Considering these, I think, working with people is beneficial to our career

development.
