Thank you very much for taking me with you on that splendid outing to London. It was the first time that I had seen the Tower or any of the other famous sights. If Id gone alone, I couldnt have seen nearly as much, because I wouldnt have known my way about.

The weather was splendid on that day, which I thought was rare. I still remember some people told me that in Britain there was weather and no climate. During the same day, it might snow in the morning, rain at noon, shine in the afternoon and be windy before the night falls. So I think I was lucky.

I think the river trip was the best thing of all. London really came alive for me as we saw it from the Thames during that wonderful journey down to Greenwich. It was all tremendously exciting - a day that I shall never forget.

在《等你，红叶》的最后有这样一段话“落叶，你留给后人的仅仅是萧瑟吗？从你离开枝头的一瞬间，飘然的姿态依旧那么动人，那么洒脱”。秋天的红叶何尝不是和我们一样呢？在磨难中绝望，又在磨难中生出新的希望，一代又一代的人，与之有着惊人的相似之处。我们每个人都是一片微不足道的树叶，在春天发芽，以示我们的朝气蓬勃，我们在夏天成长，在秋天枯槁，并缓缓落下。秋天与冬天就是我们人生中的磨难，我们都在与磨难抗争。在春天，我们又发出新芽，这就是我们的胜利。龚自珍说过“落红不是无情物，化作春泥更护花”，他所说的，难道不就是我们所遇到的磨难吗？

红叶的精神值得让人学习，我们人如果有红叶一般的精神，那么每个人都是伟人，这篇文章的作者也想告诉我们一个道理——新的生命在自己的死亡中繁衍，我们要从容面对，就像天边的一枚红叶，无怨无悔……

明年秋天，我还依旧会在这等你——红叶。

“草长莺飞二月天，拂堤杨柳醉春烟。”经过一个冬天的酝酿，万物复苏，生机勃勃的春天来了!

春天不像夏天那样热情奔放，但它可爱，活泼;春天不像秋天那样果实累累，但它丰满醇厚;春天不像冬天那么银装素裹，但它万紫千红。春天，总是那么烂漫，那么美好!青的芽，绿的草，各色鲜艳的花，一只只机灵的小燕子……都成了这个季节里最美的音符。无论在哪里，眼前都是一幅五彩斑斓有着生命的画。也许，就在你不经意之间，一朵蕴藏了一个冬天力量的花儿悄然绽放，以它旺盛的生命力，舒展出美丽的“四肢”，把花香带给了世界，把美丽毫无保留地展现出来!

每到春天，我总喜欢和小伙伴们一起荡秋千。小区里的樱花树十分茁壮，找两根麻绳，外加一段铁丝，一块木板，简陋的秋千就完成了。把麻绳拴在樱花树上，用铁丝连接木板和麻绳，坐在上面，荡着秋千，沐浴着灿烂的春光，感受着大自然的气息，阅读着优美的散文，四周弥漫着纯净恬美的花香，真是一种无与伦比的享受!

春天是播种的季节，农民伯伯忙着犁田播种。“一年之计在于春”，春天是一年的开始，也象征着新的希望。懒惰的人永远什么事也做不成，只有勤勤恳恳才有收获!

春，就是这样的迷人，就是这样的别具一格!“等闲识得东风面，万紫千红总是春。”我爱这绚丽多彩的春天!

今天，我们学校的晨刊小记者去赏桃花。

在车上，小记者们有的吃零食，有的玩手机，还有的嬉戏。过了一会儿，我们到了赏桃花的“基地”。看到桃花，我就想起了农民伯伯，这是他们辛辛苦苦劳动创造的果实!所以，我们要保护花草树木，不要破坏绿化带。

一朵朵桃花微笑着，仿佛在欢迎我们的到来呢!正在这个时候，我拿出相机，拍了一张盛开的桃花。快到山顶了，小记者们都累得筋疲力尽，但都在坚持，没有放弃!我们勇敢、坚强地继续往上爬，不一会儿就到了山顶。从山顶往下看，桃花漫山遍野，不计其数!

快到中午了，我们下了山，恋恋不舍地离开了。

However, communications being what they were in the days when news traveled by foot, many people did not receive the news for several years. Others, the more obstinate crowd, refused to accept the new calendar and continued to celebrate the new year on April 1. These backward folk were labeled as "fools" by the general populace. They were subject to some ridicule, and were often sent on "fools errands" or were made the butt of other practical jokes.

This harassment evolved, over time, into a tradition of prank-playing on the first day of April. The tradition eventually spread to England and Scotland in the eighteenth century. It was later introduced to the American colonies of both the English and French. April Fools Day thus developed into an international fun fest, so to speak, with different nationalities specializing in their own brand of humor at the expense of their friends and families.

In Scotland, for example, April Fools Day is actually celebrated for two days. The second day is devoted to pranks involving the posterior region of the body. It is called Taily Day. The origin of the "kick me" sign can be traced to this observance.

Mexicos counterpart of April Fools Day is actually observed on December 28. Originally, the day was a sad remembrance of the slaughter of the innocent children by King Herod. It eventually evolved into a lighter commemoration involving pranks and trickery.

Pranks performed on April Fools Day range from the simple, (such as saying, "Your shoes untied, or I accidentally stepped on your glasses!), to the elaborate. Setting a roommates alarm clock back an hour is a common gag. Whatever the prank, the trickster usually ends it by yelling to his victim, "April Fool!"

Practical jokes are a common practice on April Fools Day. Sometimes, elaborate practical jokes are played on friends or relatives that last the entire day. The news media even gets involved. For instance, a British short film once shown on April Fools Day was a fairly detailed documentary about "spaghetti farmers" and how they harvest their crop from the spaghetti trees.

April Fools Day is a "for-fun-only" observance. Nobody is expected to buy gifts or to take their "significant other" out to eat in a fancy restaurant. Nobody gets off work or school. Its simply a fun little holiday, but a holiday on which one must remain forever vigilant, for he may be the next April Fool!

静静地趴在窗前，看着窗外的景色，在坛里种着一棵桂树和一棵梧桐，桂树开得正旺，金黄色的花朵毫不张扬地躲在深绿色的叶子里，远远望去一片绿油油。那梧桐就逊色得多了，落叶飘零，有时还在空中旋转，有一种林黛玉葬花般的凄美，诉说着秋天的童话，不管如何，秋天还是来临了。

微风阵阵，夹带着桂花的香味，触动着我的嗅觉，勾起我童年的回忆。

五岁，一个懵懂的年龄，家里准备造新房，小小的我蹲在废弃的砖瓦旁，玩弄着红色的砖瓦，似一个被遗弃的小孩。是你轻轻拉起我脏脏的小手，轻轻弹掉我衣上的灰尘，整了整已皱的衣服。我轻轻转过头，哦，一双明亮的眼睛正静静地望着我，我生疏地唤了声“外婆”，虽然我并不清楚那是个什么概念，你笑了，慈祥的脸上布着少许皱纹。

是你把我带到了一个陌生但朴实的山村，第一次我看到了清澈的小溪，第一次我看到了满山的映山红，第一次我玩起了斗蟋蟀，第一次我和小伙伴们跳起了牛皮筋。是你让我第一次发现原来一角钱买来的萝卜丝竟如此美味；是你让我尝到了牛皮糖沾满牙的滋味；是你让我第一次这么亲密地和小鸡对视；那摸起来毛茸茸的感觉让我至今难忘；是你织的那一件件毛衣，让我度过了一个个温暖的冬天；是你晒的那一双双鞋子，让我每天都感觉充满阳光的味道……我知道那种第一次的滋味叫温暖。

当茶叶已到了采摘的季节的时候，你拉起我的手，背着箩筐，上山采茶，你教我如何采茶，我似懂非懂地学着，你夸我聪明，一张自豪的笑脸洋溢在阳光下，当我们拿到采茶钱的时候，你奖励我一根棉花糖，那甜甜的滋味融进了我的心里；当你教我种枇杷树的时候，我明白了什么是生命；当你在夜空下，诉说着你的故事时，我看到了一个多儿女的母亲的苦难和坚强，一个虽没文化，但仍走着去杭州卖鸡蛋，不顾家人反对，保证每个子女都有书读的伟大母亲的形象。

但似乎快乐的日子总是短暂的，那一年的秋天，你拉着我去采摘桂花，正高兴时，你突然坐下，不停的咳嗽，这样的反常，让我一下子蒙了。不久，你被送入了医院，那医院的白色令人感到恐怖，那药味令人喘不过气来，最终，你还是离我而去，踏着布满桂花的道路，带着回忆，去了一个很远很远、种满桂花的地方。

如今，又是一个桂花满园的季节，可是，那一堆堆砖瓦变成了高楼，那一个五岁的小姑娘变成了十八岁的高中生，那可亲可爱的外婆已永远的离我远去，留给我的只是无限的思念……

我悔恨，外婆在世时，我竟从未给她过一次生日，从未亲吻过那饱经风霜的脸庞，从未在冬天搓那双满老茧的双手，从未为她洗过那步行千里的双脚……如今，我已再也没有机会做这些我从未做过的事了。

此刻，我才明白“外婆”不仅仅是一个称谓，它代表一种亲和力，代表一份无私的爱，代表一种幸福的滋味。

外婆，你还记得那个调皮又不懂事的小女孩吗？祝愿你在那里一切都很好，可以永远闻到那桂花的清香，永远幸福，永远快乐。

那丹桂飘香的季节，那感恩的季节，常怀有一颗感恩的心，想想身边爱我们的人儿！

I am a 15-year-old student in junior Grade 3. Though I am occupied with my

study, I would like to spend time on my hobbies, such as playing the piano,

surfing the Internet.

One of my favorite hobbies is reading. Reading has been in my life for many

years, since I began to learn characters. It can not only kill the time, but

also, more important, help improve my comprehension ability. When reading, I can

learn a lot. Reading Shakespears works, I know how Hamlet looks like. Reading

Socrates, I can see how great ancient Greek philosophers are. Reading Lu Xun, I

come back to the old time of China.
