"Father and son" is a humorous cartoon. I have read the book three times.

When I first read the book, my mother heard the laughter coming from the study room. Indeed, the book is very interesting, and father and son often make jokes. For example, "sunset map": his father is a bald. One day, father read a newspaper on the sofa. The son called his companion, and showed him half the bald head of his sofa as a sunset, drawing on the sofa, and adding a picture frame. The father suddenly turned, and the setting sun had eyebrows, eyes, whiskers, ears. Father humor, simple, kind and playful, son smart, naive, cute and naughty, these two characters are very popular with everyone.

The second time I read this book, I felt the deep affection between father and son. One of the comic stories goes like this: the father and his son go to the seaside for a holiday. The son found a lot of pebbles on the beach and threw stones into the sea until he could not find any stones. Father saw, in the evening, pushing the car, over and over to the seaside to transport stones. The second day, the son found a pile of stones piled on the beach, very happy. My father was pleased to see it. I carefully observed fifth cartoons, found his father for his son to transport a pebble, sweat a lot. My father did everything for his son, and his son loved his father. He also made me cry.

When I read the book third times, I went abroad to combine the preface to know that E O Plauen created the father and son in the dark age when the Nazi fascist ruled germany. This warm, touching the cartoons was in the years of turmoil of creation, he is really a positive and optimistic person, is a person who is very loving son. He is a good painter concerned. He did not like some people in order to save life and property and surrender to the Nazis, he boldly created anti Nazi cartoons. But such a master of humour was mercilessly killed by the evil fascist. I think, while we praise the father and the son, we should praise their Creator, egypt. Austria. Rauen.

I read three times "father and son", and every time there was a new discovery. I hope I read every good book.

This book is a little Ducheis the story is about a girl called Sarah, who is all she wanted, but she is not spoiled. She immediately became one of the most popular students in the other, when they found her very smart, can make use of a good story of her vivid imagination. In Sarahs 11-year-old birthday, MiMinchin was told that Sarahs father died, leaving Sara penniless, and you can not go anywhere. Minchin sent so missed an attic where she worked as servants. Sarahs trial is to remember that the princeis a princess, and even when she acted as other people, even in the run-down. She was finally helped friends and her father become rich, to become a princeforever.

We can feel good book. Sarah to everyone, even the mouse and her doll! She was always willing to help others what circumstances. Her own. She encouraged her friends the difference they have problems, she helped her friend to learn; she tells the story of poor little servant, and for her to buy delicious food; forgive her students, given them a hate her hands warm, they have problems, even when she deteriorated, she still gave her most of the bread to the beggars; she and a friend turned into a mouse. Although she was hungry, she will not forget some food. You might think that it is difficult for others, but Sarah has done a good job. Her kindneand her evil principals become a strong contrast. For me this book had a great influence. When I have difficulties, I always feel that Sarah, I would like to have the courage to tackle difficult and sometimes some ideas will come to my mind, if Sarah has helped me.

The so-called "good" What does this mean? In this dictionary is: State or quality. What Sarah has done on behalf of not only good, but the author also shows that the maintenance of good things and hope the world is full of mercy and love. Then you know about real life in this world? Of course, good and evil. So good? Beautiful things are by the history and great people; as an insignificant, and this has nothing to do with me! If you have such a good idea, you are completely wrong. We can see very tiny things, from善性such as the perceptual awareness: to a sweet smile, your friends, when you met the kind-hearted, caring person; When you have done, trying to find very glad to help others, for all the biological ... Oh, there are many, this sounds very difficult; but if you really have a warm heart in daily life, you will find it very easy to do good.

Sarah to set a good example for us. She not only is perfect, but it is also a good idea to spread her friend was impressed by many people. Through this book, we can see that, in fact, the author describes as Sarah and the two most under Minchin, a very good; the other is very bad. While it is in real life, not very different. However, we can still be found today, very few people are willing to do mercy and to do it well. Why?

A considerable number of reasons to explain this important phenomenon. First of all, now, our society, the so-called people - children - policy, taking into account their children, many parents are teaching kids, first of all, in order to protect themselves, day after day, the children become a bit selfish, resulting in the fact that fewer people can do good. As Sarah

Urbanization also plays an important role. Methods as the countrys urbanization and the continuous improvement of living standards, more people live in a big city life, and more the pressures of life, are busy for their own work and study, then do not concern public community, they only care about things with their lives, such as income and holidays and so on. They are not unsympathetic, but there is no concept of the United States and Germany. In their mind to do nothing good.

As we have mentioned, human sympathy, but no sense. If they are worried about more things, in addition to those who do will have noticed with them is also very good for them, for their social position. As we know, the world is complex, there is the feeling, we can not accept, so it is difficult to make people aware of this. This may explain why people living in the past with lepressure, it might give them the kind-hearted.

The popular princeof a small, not only the kind of Sarah, but understanding of the properties, we have our time in this beautiful book. I wish Sarah would be the princein our hearts forever; more and more people want to be that little Sarah Duchein reality.

The Flea, the Grasshopper, and the Skipjack once wanted to see which of them could jump highest; and they invited the whole world, and whoever else would come, to see the grand sight. And there the three famous jumpers were met together in the room。

"Yes, Ill give my daughter to him who jumps highest," said the King, "for it would be mean to let these people jump for nothing."

The Flea stepped out first. He had very pretty manners, and bowed in all directions, for he had young ladies blood in his veins, and was accustomed to consort only with human beings; and that was of great consequence。

Then came the Grasshopper: he was certainly much heavier, but he had a good figure, and wore the green uniform that was born with him. This person, moreover, maintained that he belonged to a very old family in the land of Egypt, and that he was highly esteemed

there. He had just come from the field, he said, and had been put into a card house three stories high, and all made of picture cards with the figures turned inwards. There were doors and windows in the house, cut in the body of the Queen of Hearts。

"I sing so," he said, "that sixteen native crickets who have chirped

from their youth up, and have never yet had a card house of their own, would become thinner than they are with envy if they were to hear me."

Both of them, the Flea and the Grasshopper, took care to announce who they were, and that they considered themselves entitled to marry a Princess。

The Skipjack said nothing, but it was said of him that he thought all the more; and directly the Yard Dog had smelt at him he was ready to assert that the Skipjack was of good family, and formed from the breastbone of an undoubted goose. The old councillor, who had received three medals for holding his tongue, declared that the Skipjack possessed the gift of prophecy; one could tell by his bones whether there would be a severe winter or a mild one; and thats more than one can always tell from the breastbone of the man who writes the almanac。

"I shall not say anything more," said the old King. "I only go on quietly, and always think the best."

Now they were to take their jump. The Flea sprang so high that no one could see him; and then they asserted that he had not jumped at all. That was very mean. The Grasshopper only sprang half as high, but he sprang straight into the Kings face, and the King declared that was horribly rude. The Skipjack stood a long time considering; at last people thought that he could not jump at all。

"I only hope hes not become unwell," said the Yard Dog, and then he smelt at him again."

"Tap!" he sprang with a little crooked jump just into the lap of the Princess, who sat on a low golden stool. Then the King said, "The highest leap was taken by him who jumped up to my daughter; for therein lies the point; but it requires head to achieve that, and the Skipjack has shown that he has a head."

And so he had the Princess。

"I jumped highest, after all," said the Flea. "But its all the same. Let her have the goose-bone with its lump of wax and bit of stick. I jumped to the highest; but in this world a body is required if one wishes to be seen."

And the Flea went into foreign military service, where it is said he was killed。

The Grasshopper seated himself out in the ditch, and thought and considered how things happened in the world. And he too said, "Body is required! Body is required!" And then he sang his own melancholy song, and from that we have gathered this story, which they say is not true, though its in print。

Thoughts or reflections on reading Wuthering Heights

The book was written by Emily Bronte, it published in 1847.But at that time, it seemed to hold little promise, selling very poorly and receiving only a few mixed reviews. I found this in our school library, I chose this book because the title attracted me. The book is structured around two parallel love stories, the first half of the novel centering on the love between Catherine and Heathcliff, while the less dramatic second half features the developing love between young Catherine and Hareton. In contrast to the first, the latter tale ends happily, restoring peace and order to Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange. In the story, the two houses, Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange, represent opposing worlds and values.

I spent twenty days reading this book. After reading this book, I felt for Heathcliff at first. Heathcliff begins his life as a homeless orphan on the streets of Liverpool, and then he tyrannized by Hindley Earnshaw. But he becomes a villain when he acquires power and returns to Wuthering Heights with money and the trappings of a gentleman. His malevolence proves so great and long—lasting. As he himself points out, his abuse of Isabella—his wife is purely sadistic, as he amuses himself by seeing how much abuse she can take and still come cringing back for more.

Catherine represents wild nature, in both her high, lively spirits and her occasional cruelty. She loves Heathcliff so intensely that she claims they are the same person. However, her actions are driven in part by her social ambitions, which initially are awakened during her first stay at the Lintons, and which eventually compel her to marry Edgar. Catherine is free—spirited, beautiful, spoiled, and often arrogant, she is given to fits of temper, and she is torn between her both of the men who love her. The location of her coffin symbolizes the conflict that tears apart her short life. She is buried in a corner of the Kirkyard. In contrast to Catherine, Isabella Linton—Catherine’s sister—in—law represents culture and civilization, both in her refinement and in her weakness. Ultimately, she ruins her life by falling in love with Heathcliff. He never returns her feelings and treats her as a meretool in his quest for revenge on the Linton family.

Just as Isabella Linton serves as Catherine’s foil, Edgar Linton serves as Heathcliff’s. Edgar grows into a tender, constant, but cowardly man. He is almost the ideal gentleman. However, this full assortment of gentlemanly characteristics, along with his civilized virtues, proves useless in Edgar’s clashes with his foil. He sees his wife obviously in love with another man but unable to do anything to rectify the situation. Heathcliff, who gains power over his wife, sister , and daughter.

The whole story make people’s mood heavy. Fortunately, the end is happy.

The author Emily Bronte lived an eccentric, closely guarded life. She was born in 1818, two years after Charlotte—the author of Jane Eyre and a year and a half before her sister Anne, who also became an author. Her father worked as a church rector, and her aunt, who raised the Bronte children after their mother died, was deeply religious. Emily Bronte did not take to her aunt’s Christian fervor, the character of Joseph, a caricature of an evangelical, may have been inspired by her aunt’s religiosity. The Brontes lived in Haworth, a Yorkshire village in the midst of the moors. These wild, desolate expanses—later the setting of Wuthering Heights—made up the Brontes daily environment, and Emily lived among them her entire life. She died in 1848, at the age of thirty.

I like this book because it rest on the unforgettable characters. Wuthering Heights is based partly on the Gothic tradition, a style of literature that featured supernatural encounters, crumbling ruins, moonless nights, and grotesque imagery, seeking to create effects of mystery and fear. I would like to recommend this book to other readers.

When people really want to do it, God just happens to mean the beginning, and go back on, shameless the.

Undeniably, the opportunity is the wait for anyone, it is not passive, not waiting for you to analyze, analyze it, consider this, consider that a series of trivial events, and then decided to do it. Perhaps it is itself a fleeting Wizard, which is the test of courage and guts, wisdom and soul. It does not mean that all things should not be thoughtful, careful Clofibrate conduct, and if so, what we were in ancient times? Of course, opportunity and a need to treasure, you need to take advantage of, opportunities have come across are very difficult to fully and thoroughly to take advantage of, but it is difficult. How to better perfect it is a priority.

The policeman, not a claim has been given many opportunities than it? The cable does not do this than to understand what, just keep endlessly kept in mind for his so-called target to continue to play a life, clown, never tired. And lucky him, the total in the stage has written slip, but in the end was as a joke, laughed.

A drama in the end, which means another Drama begins. The police is concerned, only to routine; on the reader, but near the end; of life is concerned, only a small episode; of the writer is concerned, it is a good plot; on the audience, the only worthy of a ticket; on Soapy, it is a new idea of life close to, for he had the ignorance to pay, value is what he does not escape from his hand, he may be able to reverse the fate of the Opportunity and its contempt for the lessons learned in the final result.

If he will blame anyone, so that he does deserve it; if he can only blame himself, then he can say to yourself out loud: Three months, not too long, I will cherish and seize the time each day . well, in fact, did not run away, but I ignored. wait for it

Well, in fact, did not go far. Yes, a lot of happiness to dominate, the opportunity is one of them. Do not wait until God impatient, after all, he has emotions, give you played rough, then, as if too lacking in human touch of the. But their suffering.

Cherish the people or things around them, they change every day, but we are too busy, did not see. Opportunity is like a chance encounter, a good thing. Take advantage of, the benefits of it to play the extreme, it is a beauty thing. A person"s life will be all sorts of conditions, each of the significance of the situation is very different, very different. Select a different situation, a different life, a different fate, a different change So, we have to opportunity, transparent, fully see, so that would not go astray friends.

If the contrary, the outcome would be like Soapy: horror, realize that they have plunged into the abyss, the fallen years, shameful desire, despair, only poor intellectual exhaustion, motivation despicable.

Not grasp the opportunity to meet, are fools; not met but know how to grasp opportunities is talent; both opportunities and understanding of how the event is a genius.

Recently, I have read a very interesting book, the Adventures of Tom Sawyer。 And the companion volume is the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn。 This book described an American boy, Tom Sawyer’s fantastic adventure。 The author of this novel is one of my favorite writers, Mark Twain, who was honored as the literary giant and was good at writing satirical novels。 The reason that I enjoy Mark Twain’s composition is that he always brought me into a funny world by using very simple description but perfect writing skills and attractive story structures。 Nevertheless, when I finished reading his words, I would think some deeper and serious things that he wanted to convey to us。 The style of Mark Twain’s composition is humorous but actually very sharp, which exposed the weakness and the hypocrite of human nature and expressed his desiring for a perfect and ideal world。

You don"t know about me if you haven"t read a book called the Adventures of Tom Sawyer。 Mr。 Mark Twain wrote the book and most of it is true。 The heroin of this novel, Tom Sawyer, was a brave and active boy。 But he got tired of his family, his school as well as the church。 He was not satisfied with a hidebound life but dreamed of a free and venturesome life。 This naughty but clever boy lost his parents since child。 Thus he lived with his aunt who loved him very much。 He always escaped from school, and played various games with his friends。 He even fell in love with a girl and tried again and again to win her favor。 One day, Tom and his friend Huck came across a murdering。 An Indian Joe killed a doctor because of disagreement and imputed it to another partner Porter。 The two young boys were extremely frightened and decided to keep the secret。 But actually Tom was anxious all the time。 After that, Tom had conflict with the girl, he leaved at home with Huck angrily and started their adventure。 People in the town thought that they had died。 When they held funeral for these boys, Tom and his friends appeared。 Since then, Tom became hero in school, and reconciled with that girl。 Soon, the court was about to judge that murder case。 When everyone considered Porter as the murderer, Tom bravely exposed the true murderer Joe。 But unfortunately, Joe ran away, so Tom was trapped into enormous anxiety。 Once time, Tom met a partner of Joe in a haunted house。 He heard that they would go to find treasure。 Several days later, Tom went to a picnic with his friends。 But he and the girl Becky got lost in a cave。 They had suffered from hunger, thirsty, darkness and coldness for days in that cave。 Worse still, they found that Indian Joe also in that cave。 This time, all the town folk believed that they must have die。 Especially Tom’ aunt and Thatcher were in deep sorrow。 Beyond people’ expectation, Tom and Becky found the way, and was sent to their home by others。 And because of this accident, the cave was sealed。 When Tom heard that, he told the judge that Joe was still stay at that cave。 When the judge fetched someone to check it, Joe had died in the cave。 Then, Tom and Huck got into that cave again, and found the treasure that Joe and his partner were finding。 Tom got a happy ending, he became a rich man and was popular in his town。

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a clear reflection of the child"s life is full of Children"s novels。 I have to say that clever Tom reminded me of my childhood。 We always lost something as we grow up and gradually got lost in our life。 A child would not tell lies to other, a child would speak out their feelings without hesitation, a child would care too much about other’s opinions, and a child would bravely do what they wanted。 Likewise, in that time, people were pretty reserve, and they did not dare to tell their own ideas, neither fight against the tradition。 But Tom was brave。 He challenged the tradition。 He never restricted himself into school or homework like other child, he loved adventure and different challenges instead。 He exposed the true murderer even though he might be dangerous。 So the author Mark Twain designed a good ending for Tom。

It was Mark Twain’s humor that attracted me most。 But there was not only humor, people who read his books would learn something serious。 He told us: tell the truth forever, such of words you need not record you to once say somewhat。 Someone said that Mark Twain gave pleasurereal intellectual enjoyment to millions, and his work will continue to give such pleasure to millions yet to come。 His humor was American, but he was nearly as much appreciated by Englishmen and people of other countries as by his own countrymen。 He has made an enduring part of American literature。

In a word, I gained much from this fantastic novel, and learned a lot from Tom Sawyer。 And I believe that these harvests will have great effects on my whole life。

After three days and three nights of struggle, the old man finally killed the big marlin, but he on the way home, but being attacked by a shark, when he returned, the big marlin only fish head fish left.

This story, but tell the immortal hero, although the old man fails, but thats just the sort of strength and a failure of the body, of his confidence and hope that it is impossible to burst. "People are not born for defeat. A man can be destroyed, but can not be one to beat! This is a tough guy spirit!" A very valuable spirit!

Vivid Heroine

——On Sister Carrie

Carrie was such an ordinary rural girl at the beginning of the story. Sitting on the seat of a bus, she couldn’t help feeling exciting at the sight of the metropolis’ spectacle. She was impressed deeply by large crowd on the avenue, the spacious square or tall buildings.

Far more different from other heroines, Carrie was not a plain pure angel like Snow-white, nor was she brave enough to be a heroine of revolutionist or even a reformer, nor was she so clever as to be a successful career woman who start from scratch.

What attracted her most, after her entering this huge metropolis was the incredible fineries, fashion shoes, smart handbags displaying in the shop windows, the jewellerys shining brightly behind the glass. She dreamed that one day, she could wear all of these, jogging gracefully into the most luxurious hotel with focused sights of admiration.

And this was not merely a dream. Because she had large eyes which can earn others’ sympathy, even love. She had wonderful figure which can win others’ hearts. However, anything she got, anywhere she reached, had not come from her ambition. Things happened, and then she accepted. That’s what she had just done — just to accept willingly from the bottom of her heart. She was not at all an evil woman who would give anything for the fortune or fame. However, she would give uo something for a better life when her instinct defeated her intellect.

That was Carrie, a girl had her own desire, a human being just like many others in the realistic world.

There’s one sentence written in chapter VIII:” When this jangle of free-will instinct shall have been adjusted, when perfect understanding has given the former the power to replace the latter entirely, man will no longer vary.” However, how many people can go that further.

And I want to quote another sentence to wind up my essay:

“In Carrie — as in how many of our wordings do they not? — instinct and reason, desire and understanding, were at war for the mastery.”
