The 15-Day Celebration of Chinese New Year.

The seventh day of the New Year is the day for farmers to display their produce. These farmers make a drink from seven types of vegetables to celebrate the occasion. The seventh day is also considered the birthday of human beings. Noodles are eaten to promote longevity and raw fish for success.

On the eighth day the Fujian people have another family reunion dinner, and at midnight they pray to Tian Gong, the God of Heaven.

The ninth day is to make offerings to the Jade Emperor.

The 10th through the 12th are days that friends and relatives should be invited for dinner. After so much rich food, on the 13th day you should have simple rice congee and mustard greens (choi sum) to cleanse the system.

The 14th day should be for preparations to celebrate the Lantern Festival which is to be held on the 15th night.

我们吃过晚饭，一路走到了中心广场北门，光是门口就十分拥挤，卖东西的摊位特别多。只见北门口上方有几个“福猴临门”大字。旁边还有两只可爱的小猴子，提着鞭炮十分可爱。

顺着人流往南走，过了“红龙”后，就到了挂满红灯笼的路。中间是花坛，两边是耀眼夺目的红灯笼，在远处看，一个挨着一个像闪亮的红星星。再加上花坛中彩树的辉映，就更加漂亮了!

我们绕了一圈，又回到中心广场北门，突然看到“铁板鱿鱼”的小摊，顿时感觉饿了，就让母亲给我买了５串。瞧我那吃的样子，一口一串，三下五除二，５串鱿鱼都被我吃完了。

这次看花灯，我十分开心，收获也特别多，明年我还要来看。

因为元宵节是星期一，所以父亲、母亲就提前带我到水街去看花灯，这次灯会的主题是：“盛世中华、和谐盐城”。

晚上7点多钟我们打的到了水街附近，那儿人山人海，还没到水街站台，交警就不给往前开了，我们只好下车步行。走了好远才到了售票处，一看傻了眼，那排了五、六条长长的队，都在等着买票，还好老爸机灵三下五除二就买到了3张票，我激动地抱住了老爸的脸亲了又亲。

进了水街，我好像身处灯的海洋里，水街处处都是喜洋洋的灯笼和彩灯，让人们提前感受到了元宵节的热闹气氛。我们首先看到了代表盐城的各个景区――丹顶鹤、麋鹿的灯组，我们继续向前走又看到了一组龙凤花灯。随着人流我们来到了一组代表着地方戏的淮剧灯组面前，看着淮剧灯里栩栩如生的人物，让我们立刻有一种保护非物质文化遗产的责任。就这样我们边走边看，忘情地徜徉于灯火辉煌之中，不知不觉我们开到了最后一组灯面前：这组灯生动形象描绘了我们盐城人过去晒盐、卖盐的场面，我立刻为有这样勤劳勇敢的祖先而感到无比自豪。父亲说：“现在我们物质生活水平提高了，人们也都在追求更高的精神文明生活。”

“正月正，正月十五挂红灯”，又到元宵节，又是一个小年了。按我们这儿的风俗，全家人要在一起吃顿团年饭，还要吃汤圆，这样才是和和美美、团团圆圆嘛！

可我们家的团圆在哪里呢？

父亲早就说好了，争取在节前从江西赶回来，可前两天又打电话说：买不到车票，只好不回来了！我心里有说不出的失望，年三十父亲就没回来，我盼啊盼，盼着元宵节到了，父亲也该回来了，可……，父亲，你已经离开家350天了，难道你就真的一点也不想我和母亲吗？我想您也许是身不由己吧！再说，来回一趟车票钱就要几百块，又呆不了几天，这样似乎也是不值得！

可“团圆饭”还是要吃的，我忙着端菜、摆碗筷、拿杯子，倒饮料，一切准备就绪，喜庆的鞭炮声此起彼伏的，家家户户都开始吃团年饭了。

我看着满桌子的美味，端起最爱喝的果汁，却怎么也高兴不起来，想起去年元宵节时，我和父亲划拳喝饮料，母亲却硬是要喝白酒，一家人争来吵去，多热闹啊！父亲呀父亲，你今日在哪呢？是在上班，还是休假，是和朋友们一起喝酒呢，还是独自一人在街上闲逛呢？哦，也许这就是“每逢佳节倍思亲”吧！

吃完饭，母亲告诉我，她也要外出打工了，现在家里只有父亲一个人挣钱，再没有别的经济来源了，况且我读书的费用会越来越高，所以她也要为父亲分担些。

明天，再过十几个小时，母亲就要离开家，去南方打工了，我多么舍不得母亲呀！她这一去就是一年，两年、三年也说不定啊！我就只能把这家门锁了，呆在奶奶家了！下次回来时，推开家门，也许就满是蜘蛛网、灰尘了，也许这儿就变成了老鼠们的乐园了吧！.......我真不愿想呀！

啊！父亲母亲，你们可一定要保重身体，平平安安的呀！我也会努力学习的，你们放心好了！但愿我们一家人能早日团圆！

今日是正月十五——元宵节，我在傍晚看见天上的月亮很圆，像一个白玉盘。母亲说：“元宵节是一年中第一个月圆之夜，也是一元复始，大地回春的夜晚，元宵节又称上元节。”

晚上，我们早早的吃了糯米、豆沙制成的宁波汤圆。我还知道一些关于汤圆的知识，汤圆圆圆的，甜甜的，代表我们一家团团圆圆，甜甜蜜蜜的生活。汤圆又叫浮圆子，还叫汤团，也称为元宵。

吃了完宵，我们一家去看花灯，花灯五光十色。大街上张灯结彩，人山人海，车水马龙，可以说是灯的海洋，光的世界。中山广场有许许多多的树灯，让我想起了几句诗：“火树银花合，星桥铁锁开。灯树千光照，明月逐人来。”走近点，那灯就像金银财宝一样，闪闪发光。

元宵节的晚上，民心一片欢腾。沿着市民广场回家，我看见了龙灯、鲤鱼灯、大红宫灯、状元灯、八仙过海等数不胜数的花灯，心里非常欢畅。

一放学，我就兴冲冲地买了八个许愿灯。吃完晚饭，我看见了弟弟，他也买了好多的许愿灯，红的、黄的、白的……应有尽有。于是。我们便一起去放许愿灯。

在父亲的帮助下，我们点燃了一盏许愿灯，只见它在五颜六色的烟花的衬托下，是那样惹眼。远远望去，像是花仙子在百花齐放的时候，慢慢的从花里款款的走来，眼看着那盏灯，越飘越远，越飘越远，渐渐的从一条小船变成一颗耀眼的星星。紧跟着，又一颗“星星”，顿时，夜空中增加了一颗又一颗“星星”，它们给宁静的夜晚，增添了几丝欢笑和喜悦，给黑暗的天空增添了几分色彩和激情，给沉睡的大地带来了几缕生气和希望。

看着那许愿灯，我心里默默想：我一定要努力考上县高级中学，争取考上哈佛大学，成为全镇哈佛第一人!弟弟说：“我要痩十公斤，高20厘米，长大后长得比姚明还高!”许完愿后，我们开心极了。我们在一颗颗耀眼的“星星”下追赶着，奔跑着，呐喊着，”星星”看见了，便也和我们一起互相追赶着，”星星“们你碰碰我，我碰碰你，左一窜，又一窜，真调皮!

晚上，我们一家人去公园去看烟花。我们到了公园，这里人山人海，热闹非凡。我们随着人流到了楼房上，打开窗户，眼望八方，不知从哪放起。就这样等着，盼着。

开始放烟花了，我心潮澎湃。首先，几颗明亮的火星一颗接着一颗冲上了灰暗的天空，刹那间，火星炸开了，变成了一朵朵五光十色的巨大的花蕊，又好似一位美丽的仙女，把希望的花瓣洒向了人间。有时候又像一团团金色的火光“毕剥毕剥”地炸开来。红的，黄的，蓝的，绿的，紫的各种各样的颜色把天空打扮得绚利多彩，特别是是紫色，那么耀眼，使人心旷神怡。炸完了，在场的观众一呼百应。

接着，还放了玉花门的烟花，千姿百态。令人滑稽的烟火像一条条活蹦乱跳的小鱼，又像一只只到处乱跑的老鼠从又粗又短的爆竹里蹿出来，飞来飞去，数量越来越多，千丝万缕。彩虹桥令人拍手叫好：两个爆竹，一个烟花飞向左边，另一个飞向右边，形成了一座五颜六色的彩虹桥，又似月牙。许多烟花令人赞叹不已。有的像许花环套在一起，有的像一把撑开的彩色雨伞，有的像彗星，还有的像长长的瀑布倾泻而下，又像下起了圆圆的小水珠，壮观极了。

天边的烟花依旧，光彩夺目而又目不暇接。

我很早就听奶奶说过了新年，就要到元宵节了，元宵节可以吃非常好吃的汤圆。说得我天天都在盼望元宵节的这一天快快到来。时间过得真快，今日就是元宵节了，也正好是星期天。

下午，天下起了雨。我和小朋友们不能在外面玩，我只好一个人在家里看电视，但是脑子里总是在想吃汤圆。

奶奶从超市里买了许多汤圆。我围着奶奶要她马上煮汤圆给我吃。奶奶说“好的”。说完，奶奶就开始煮汤圆。等奶奶煮好后，我马上拿个碗走过去，奶奶给我盛了一大碗。我高兴地端起汤圆就一下子吃了十几个，吃得我的小肚子胀胀的。味道真好啊！奶奶问我还要不要。我说不要了，一点也吃不下去了。

吃好汤圆，爷爷说要去油菜田里玩火把。尽管天还在下着小雨，我也急忙跟着爷爷去了。爷爷拿了许多个稻草，我也帮爷爷拿了几个。到了田里，爷爷用一根竹子塞进稻草把里，用打火机点后，拿了给我。我拿着火把在岸上跑。爷爷还教我嘴里要说：“庄稼丰收，收成好……”我就按照爷爷教的一边跑一边唱。很快火把灭了，我的鞋也已经湿透了，爷爷说可以回家了。

我想不到元宵节还有这么好吃的汤圆和这么好玩的火把。今日真是个快乐的星期天。

Here is a difference between science and technology.Science is a method of

answering theoretical questions; technology is a method of solving practical

problems. Science has to do with discovering the facts and relationships between

observable phenomena in nature and with establishing theories that serve to

organize these facts and relationships; technology has to do with

tools,techniques, and procedures for implementing the findings of science.

Another distinction between science and technology has to do with the

progress in each. Progress in science excludes the human factor. Scientists, who

seek to comprehend the universe and know the truth with the highest degree of

accuracy and certainty, cannot pay heed to their own or other peoples likes or

dislikes, or to popular ideas about the fitness of things. What scientists

discover may shock or anger people--as did Darwins theory of evolution. But

even an unpleasant truth is more than likely to be useful; besides, we have the

option of refusing to believe it! But hardly so with technology;we do not have

the option of refusing to hear the sonic boom produced by a supersonic

aircraft-flying overhead; we do not have the option of refusing to breathe

polluted air. Unlike science, progress in technology must be our slave and not

the reverse. The legitimate purpose of technology is to serve peopie--people in

general, not merely some people; and future generations, not merely those who

presently wish to gain advantage for themselves.

We are all familiar with the abuses of technology. Many people blame

technology itself for widespread pollution, resource depletion and even social

decay in general--so much so that the promise of technology is obscured. That

promise is a cleaner and healthier world. If wise applications of science and

technology do not lead to a better world, what else will?

I have a backpack. It is large and it is blue. It is a birthday gift from my parents. I love it very much. It is very hard-working, because I keep all my school things in it. It is very heavy. It is with all the time during school days. It is a good friend of mine.
