5. Watch yourself for a few days to see where you often waste the most time. 在日常生活中，我们也经常会发现水污染的例子。我每次去沿江公园散步，都会发现松花江面上有行人随手丢弃的饮料瓶、塑料袋等垃圾，美丽的松花江就这样被污染了。

现如今，工业越来越发达，人类的生活需求越来越高，有些工厂为了图省事，直接将未经处理的工业废水排入江河之中，导致了水的污染。有些农民大量使用化肥、农药、除草剂，从而造成了农田污水。由于人们过多的砍伐树木，造成了水土流失。

多年来，中国水资源质量不断下降，水环境持续恶化，由于污染所导致的缺水和事故不断发生，不仅使工厂停产、农业减产甚至绝收，而且造成了不良的社会影响和较大的经济损失，严重地威胁了社会的可持续发展，威胁了人类的生存。

人类不能以破坏生态环境来发展经济，这样做所要付出的代价太大了。世界上仅城市地区一年排出的工业和生活废水就多达500立方公里，而每一滴污水将污染数倍乃至数十倍的水体。这惊人的数字也警示着我们要保护水资源。

污水还会危及我们的健康。中国很多癌症多发地区的人就是因为长时间喝了被污染的水，才导致了寿命减少。由于喝了被污染的水而丧生的孩子不计其数。为了我们的健康，我们一定要重视水安全。
