cards from the kids can be handed to mom by themselves or just placed on the

dining table.

After breakfast, go anywhere mom likes to go. Shopping, swimming or going on

a picnic in the garden. Make a special Mother’s Day dinner or take mom out for a

great meal in a famous restaurant she loves most.

人们总是认为水是“取之不尽，用之不竭”的，事实上中国的水资源十分紧缺，人均水资源只有世界平均水平的四分之一。但是在这种条件下，日常用水中还存在着相当严重的浪费现象，比如在用水的时候去开门、接电话，刷牙、洗手后不关水龙头等等，据专家分析，这种不起眼的不良习惯造成了相当大的浪费，只要改制这些不良习惯，就能节水70%左右。另外污染也造成了水资源的浪费，听说现在许多地方的河流、湖泊受到了严重的污染，使得人们生活用水受到威胁，非常可怕，我的内心久久不能平静。

为了节约用水，我制订了家庭节水计划，决心“节约水资源从我做起”，要养成随手关龙头的好习惯，不玩水，洗脸水用过后可以洗脚，然后冲厕所，提醒妈妈，洗米煮面水可以洗油碗等等。

简单句用得太多，会造成文章读起来乏味。在评卷员看来，同样意思的内容，能够运用比较复杂的句式结构来表达，当然会认为其运用语言的能力要比只会用简单句来表达要强，评分自然就高。

1、巧用非谓语动词

运用非谓语动词，可使文句看起来更简洁，使语言更加丰富多彩，重点更加突出，增加文采。如：

3、巧用复合句

随着人类的发明，生活越来越好了，但无限制的砍伐树木，使大地失去了天然的保护层，热带雨林面积正在迅速地缩小，据估计，正以正以每年11万平方公里的速度在减少。原本一条条清澈见底的小河已经变得乌黑，有些还长满了绿草，以致鱼、虾呼吸不到新鲜空气，全部漂浮在水面上。人类为了自己的生活，开设了成千上万的电场和工厂，污水被排入到河道中，河成了废河;废气直入云天，空气受到污染，变得浑浊;蓝天再也谈不上“湛蓝”，以被废气熏得发黑;从汽车的排气管中排出的气，在四周分散开来，空气全被污染了。

地球上的垃圾更是堆积如山。不仅如此，人类也在不断浪费资源，把用过的“资源”随手仍掉，成了垃圾，不但浪费了资源，而且污染了环境。如今，地球表面的绿色越来越少，多数以被黄色占领，主要原因是人类无休止地砍伐导致树木大量减少，沙漠化增加。

我们现在必须节约资源，让以前失去的“绿色”尽快恢复，不再浪费水资源，让地球不再受到伤害。

节约资源，保护地球，就等于保护了我们的家园，否则，空气就会得浑浊，最后的一滴水必将是人类的眼泪!

World Environment Day is started from 1972, which is established by the United Nations General Assembly for raising global awareness to take actions to protect the Nature. The establishment of World Environment Day shows people’s the cognition and the attitude to the environmental problem, and expresses our human beings’ desire of pursuing the better environment. Every year the United Nations Environment Program proposes a theme, and the 2014 theme of this day will focus on ‘Small Island and Climate change’ and the slogan is “Raise Your Voice Not the Sea Level”.

World Environment Day can be celebrated in lots of ways, for instances, planting trees, doing some recycling, participating the clean-up campaigns and so on. 在上自修时，送水工送了3桶水来，我们的眼睛都盯着那3桶水，但是老师都不让我们去等水，要到下课才行。“铃铃铃……”下课铃声响了，我还没反应过来，班上90%的同学都涌到饮水机，你挤我，我挤你。饮水机在不停地运动着，讲台早已乱成一团。这也不能怪同学们，他们几乎一个下午都没有喝水了，更何况还上了一节体育课。我们现在才感觉到，水是多么重要。随着水咕噜咕噜地流过喉咙，非常甘甜，如干旱已久的大地，获得雨水滋润般，我们都离不开水啊!

但为什么在饮水机的水充足时，没有想到珍惜水呢?在平时，教室的讲台总是湿漉漉的，可饮用的水哗哗地流。在黄土高原那，一滴水都非常的弥足珍贵：而在潮湿的南方，一滴水又是那么微不足道。在有水龙头的地方，当水龙头哗哗地流水时，又有多少个人去把它拧紧?可以说是无人问津!白白地让那些水流呀、流呀，这是多大的浪费呀，世界不知因此流失多少水?

如今，水资源短缺，并且还遭到很大的污染，可饮用的水日益减少。我们更应该珍惜水资源、保护水资源。工厂的大量废水流入江河、湖泊，使河水、湖水、海水等都变成含有化学物质的水，当人们喝到这些水，被污染过的鱼虾，就会患病，乃至中毒!这是大自然对人类这一种高等动物的报应。在日本，就因没有保护水、合理地排放污水，就曾受到两次污染，数万人死亡!

缺水问题已日益严重，成为社会焦点，国际问题。但，无知的人们，仍愚昧无知：浪费水、污染水。非洲的许多国家早已干旱，庄嫁颗粒无收，许多人饿死、渴死，经济损失不可计量……我们要居安思危，应留给后代子孙一片福地。保护水资源，珍惜每一滴水，从我们做起，从现在做起，只要大家一起动起来，美丽的地球定会愈加繁荣昌盛、欣欣向荣，成为一颗美丽的星球。

水，是滋养万物的源泉，我们不能没有水!
