记得有一次我在院子里和张子龙玩，他不小心摔了一跤，把手弄脏了，就跑到洗手间去洗手，他洗完手后，就和我继续玩。玩了一会，我的手也脏了，就进洗手间洗手，刚一进去我看见水龙头没有关，水正哗哗地流着，地面上都快流成一条小河了。

我连忙关上水龙头，想：是不是张子龙没关紧水龙头呢?于是我找到了张子龙，问：“你是不是洗完手没关水龙头呀?”他说：“中国那么多水，浪费一点没什么事?”我说：“什么没事，全世界有12亿人在闹水荒，每年有2500万儿童因干渴饥饿而死。”“真的吗”他惊奇的说。“当然!”我说。“我以后不会浪费水了。”他对我说。

洗过菜的水可以洗手，因为菜里有绿色素说不定还可以美容呢!现在有的家庭养着鱼，养过鱼的水可以浇花，因为养过鱼的水里有鱼屎，屎又是肥料，这样等于给你的花施肥呢!我们可以把用过的水存放在一个桶里在冲马桶的时候使用。而且这种方法也是有好处的，因为用桶冲想冲哪儿就冲哪儿，很自由，冲的也干净。在有一些家庭中，洗过脸的水直接到掉，洗脚的水重新接，假如洗脸和洗脚水各用4升水，如果洗过脸的水再洗脚不就可以省4升水吗?这样一个人一年可以省1460升水呢!在北方，人们喜欢吃面条，大多数家庭会把煮过面的汤倒掉，但是留下来我觉得比较好一些，因为俗话说：“原汤话原食。”喝了这种汤可以帮助消化食物，又可以节省水，也可以洗锅，用这面汤还可以给你节省洗涤剂，且不是一举两得呀!

attracted by this big old country. They come here and want to know about the

traditional culture. However, Chinese young people dont show much interest in

the old culture, instead they chase the fashion and some even abandon the

我国是世界上用水最多的国家，同时也是水资源浪费最严重的国家之一。生产同样的粮食，我们比美国多用一倍的水。据水利部副部长张春园介绍，农业用水是我国用水的大头，约占总用水量的72%，但真正被有效利用的水占农业灌溉用水总量的1/3左右，多半损失在送水过程和漫灌之中。工业上，我国万元产值的耗水量是225立方米，发达国家却仅有100多立方米。

另外，城市生活用水的数量虽远远低于农业用水和工业用水量，但生活用水中人们对水资源的毫不吝惜和肆无忌惮的浪费却与前二者相差不大。据统计，北京市仅一年的洗车耗水量，就相当于一个多昆明湖或6个北海的蓄水量。可见我国的用水效率低下，比发达国家底15%——20%。

人们不仅浪费着正在用的水，还在无形中破坏着那些尚未用的水资源。目前，全国约有1/3以上的工业废水和9/10以上的生活污水未经处理就排入河湖，使得全国90%的城市水环境恶化，加剧了可利用水资源的不足。80年代末期，昆明的一个农民往盘龙江里倾倒一小板车废旧染料，把整个江染成红色，使自来水厂停产一天，“一个人就污染一条江”。破坏水、污染水容易，而要治理污水却很不容易。全国水污染最严重的淮河地区每年有180万吨严重污染物COD进入淮河，1998年实施“零点行动”后，COD量降至90万吨，而要真正达到治污标准，则需将COD量降到30万吨，这至少还需要投入1万亿元。

除了浪费水和污染水外，由于不明水规律，对水资源的开发缺乏统一规划和科学管理，也不利于水资源的开发利用。例如，城市规划与工业布局未能充分考虑水资源条件，造成局部地区地下水超量开采，水源枯竭。在河西走廊的甘肃省石羊河上，位于下游的民勤盆地80年代尚有6亿立方米水资源，90年代猛降至0.8亿立方米，缺水危机笼罩着民勤人，究其主要原因是由于缺乏统一规划，相距仅百公里的上游武威盆地占据了16亿立方米的水资源。

东江源头的保护状况对于整个东江流域有着独一无二的环境和社会意义，达能中国饮料2015年初携手寻乌县政府、世界自然保护联盟(IUCN)共同启动了“魅力寻乌”水生态保护项目，通过重点推进寻乌东江源生态系统的保护和恢复、促进农村社区可持续发展以及推动公众环境教育，实现源头区域生态保护和社会发展的共同进步。

《小楼重生记》记录的是“魅力寻乌”项目中，一群来自华南理工大学建筑系的学生利用自己的所学所长投身公益——对东江源村的一栋客家老宅进行精心改造，将其打造为“魅力寻乌”项目的环境教育基地。

小楼为当地的水生态保护提供了宣教场所，同时也为当地村民和学生提供了公共活动空间。

青设计团队的成员说道：“理想的建筑不应该是人和自然的隔断，相反它应该融入自然，让人始终和山水草木保持亲近。我们希望水生态保护的意识和知识将从这栋房子开始，慢慢普及开去，这对整个寻乌水生态保护项目，对保护东江水这一使命来说，都是关键的一步。”

《在水一方有伊人》的主人公张艳是IUCN龙门项目负责人，近两年来一直在这个位于广东省惠州市的小县从事小流域保护工作。广东省惠州市龙门县，是达能益力矿泉水的优质水源地。从2008年开始，达能对龙门水源地展开多年水源、土壤和环境研究，建立起三级水源保护区及缓冲区，对水源地进行着全方位保护。

2014年，达能携手世界自然保护联盟等发起“生态龙门，活力东江——嘉泉水源地可持续保护”项目，推动社区体系建设、生态恢复和替代生计，通过可持续的方法，达到促进当地社区经济、恢复生态与保护天然水源的和谐发展。

做贸易出身的张艳初次来到龙门的时候便喜欢上了龙门的新鲜空气，在得知“生态龙门”项目后，张艳便选择作为项目组的一员留在了龙门。影片《在水一方有伊人》记录了张艳在日常工作中如何推动“生态龙门”项目在当地实施，包括建立村民互助小组，邀请专家为村民讲解生态种植技术，共同商讨替代生计方案，开展立体果园、蜜源恢复等生态种植的试点等。通过“生态龙门”项目，当地可持续生计与可持续流域管理并肩发展，从而为两千万当地与下游居民带来更多福祉。

“我们的衣食住行都离不开水。”对于未来的希冀，张艳说道，在那里她觉得自己更像是自然生态圈中的一份子。“希望‘龙门模式’可以扩展到东江乃至整个珠江流域，并为国内外其他大型流域的管理提供参考。有好水就有未来，没有好水谈何未来。”

Many countries in the world are faced with the problems of an increasing population and a shortage of food.

There are a number of possible solutions to the problem, but none of them is easy. Firstly, governments could discourage people from having large families. Why not have just one child?

Secondly, farming methods in those countries are very simple and often inefficient. If the people bought new agricultural machinery, modernized their farming methods and developed more land, they might soon produce enough food for their needs.

二、精选图画，激发想象

处于英语作文起步阶段的学生的想象具有直观性，片面性和模仿性的特点，为其提供的观察材料越具体、越完整、越详实，他们的这些特点往往表现得越明显，有时甚至强化了他们的这些特点。换个方式，为他们提供一些抽象的图画，他们的创造想象反而被激活，因为他们必须在原有的图画上进行创造才可能有新的形象产生。而“抽象画作品所表现的物象与参照物相差甚远，它最大限度地把形与色对视觉作用的潜力发挥出来，直观效果非常强烈。它经过夸张、简化、分解、组合等变化手段，将客观事物的表象创造成为富于想象力。”如荷兰画家蒙德里安的表达百老汇街道的嘈杂与热闹的《百老汇爵士》（Jazz in Broadway）是一幅看上去比较抽象的图画，学生通过观察、运用合理的想象，写出了内容各异的作品。

可见，由抽象的图画到生动画面的产生，到一篇作文的写作成功，是创造想象不断发展的过程，也是提高英语语言运用能力的过程。

三、借助音乐，拓宽想象

音乐能有效地丰富学生的精神生活，促进学生感知、情感、想象等方面的健康成长，能给学生提供想象和联想的广阔空间，有利于培养学生的发散性思维能力，促进人的全脑开发，为学生的创新精神和实践能力在各方面的延伸乃至终身发展提供良好的基础。因此，在英语写作训练中有时借助音乐等艺术形式，对丰富学生的想象力是一种有益的尝试。

如Senior Book Ⅵ ,Unit 7中的“The Waltz king ”这一课文，根据内容，可设计让学生听一首Beethoven的“命运”(Fate)，让学生根据自己的理解，写一篇作文，一位学生这样写到：

四、灵活方法，发展想象

“创造想象是严格的构思过程，它是由思维调节的。”想象会产生全新的物象与情景、独特的认识和感悟。一段文字、一篇文章，给不同的读者，就有不同的想象余地。正如：A thousand readers, a thousand Hamlets.（一千个读者，就有一千个哈姆雷特。）在英语作文教学中根据一定的线索或情节，提供学生广阔的思维空间，让学生进行想象描述（创造性的描述），会收到很好的锻炼效果。

例如 “After Twenty Years" (Senior Book Ⅵ,Unit 5) 这一课，可要求学生在学完之后， 简单续写一个结尾。这是一篇根据O. Henry 同名原作改写的文章。文章的故事情节虽然简单，但很能挖掘、发挥学生的创造想象力。学生这样写到：

As soon as the police officer wanted to catch Bob by the arm, he took out a gun, aimed at the officer and said, “I knew I was wanted, but I dont want to be arrested anyway.
