Whatever one does, one should do it with confidence. As temperatures continue to drop in Northern China, many winter holiday resorts in the Jilin Province are seeing booming business.

I’m writing to tell you about the discussion we have had about whether an entrance fee should be charged for parks. 60% of us schoolmates think that an entrance fee do not meet people’s expectations, for a park is considered to be a place where the public can have a good time when they are not busy either at home or at work. If an entrance fee must be paid by the visitors for a park, it will be necessary to build a gate and surrounding walls. In the end a city will take on a bad look. 40% of us schoolmates think that an entrance fee can be accepted, but it must not be too expensive. The money from ticket selling can be used for paying the gardeners in the park and buying some other kinds of flowers and trees.

Currently, some cities are considering a food ban on subways, which has sparked heated discussion. Some people say food should be banned because of the trash and rats they attract. And, garbage from discarded food can cause track fires. Beyond sanitary and mechanical concerns, food can also cause fights, as was discovered last week by one passenger who criticized a woman eating steamed stuffed bun on the subway.

However, some others are opposed to the idea. They argue that people like eating in the train in the morning because they dont have enough time to eat at their houses or restaurants. Sometimes that may be the only time or meal a transit rider may be able to eat especially when traveling long distances. Besides, there are people, for example diabetics, who do require food at various times to maintain blood-sugar levels.

Personally, Im against the ban because of the huge inconvenience it would cause to commuters, and the expense involved in enforcing it. Still, I believe we should have a little common courtesy. I think we all have responsibility to try to treat our subway system and fellow riders with respect, and that extends to food as well.

Most westerners always celebrate Christmas Day as their major festival, in

order to memorialize Jesus. During that time, they always have several days off,

so they can enjoy this festival with all their hearts. The children often get

together with their friends. The adults are busy with decorating their houses.

They also send the postcards with their best wishes to each other. In the

streets, there are so many Fathers Christmas sending presents to the passers-by.

And everything is on a discount in the supermarkets. Thus the supermarkets are

the busiest places.

In the evening, the families usually have pudding, sandwiches, apple pies

and some other desserts for dinner. After supper, the families always sing and

dance around the Christmas tree. Sometimes, they also go to church. Before going

to bed, the children often hang up their stockings beside their bed, so that

Father Christmas will fill them with presents. It is said that Father Christmas

利用天然淡化器将海水淡化处理，这样做既环保又省钱，可以说是一举多得。

水源的问题解决了，如何用呢?人们应该多发明如“电解水分子洗衣机”等节水产品，“电解水分子洗衣机”利用电解水分子的原理，让水分子中的氧原子吸收衣服里的赃物，电解出的氢原子可以作为环保汽车的燃料，既不损害衣物纤维，又为汽车提供动力能源，还为环保事业尽了力，何乐而不为呢?珍惜水资源不仅要做到珍惜身边的每一滴水，还需要做到防止水资源的污染。

据一项水质检测资料显示，目前市区日均废污排放量达550万吨，一年高达20亿吨，比全年平均降水还多，导致江河的水质下降，对水资源造成严重的威胁。

在这一方面，我们也能尽己所能。

比如将废电池，生活垃圾等会对水资源造成污染的物品按照规定投入指定的垃圾箱，工厂的员工还可以尽量减少污水的排放。

让我们珍惜水资源吧，不要等到世界上只剩下你的眼泪这最后一滴水的时候再后悔莫及。

从现在开始从我做起，从身边的小事做起，珍惜每一滴水，珍惜生命的源泉吧!

Sichuan is located in the Upper Yangtze Valley in the southwestern part of the country. The second largest of the Chinese provinces, it covers an area of 220,100 square miles (570,000 square kilometres). Szechwan is bordered by the provinces of Kansu and Shensi to the north, Hupeh and Hunan to the east, and Kweichow and Yunnan to the south and by the Tibet Autonomous Region to the west and the province of Tsinghai to the northwest. It is the most populous province in China. The name Szechwan means “Four Streams” and refers to the four main tributaries of the Yangtze River, which flows through the province. The capital, Cheng-tu, is located in the centre of the province.

From economic, political, geographical, and historical points of view, the heart and nerve centre of Szechwan is in the eastern basin area, commonly known as the Sichuan, or Red, Basin. Its mild and humid climate, fertile soil, and abundant mineral and forestry resources make it one of the most prosperous and economically self-sufficient regions of China. The area has been seen by some as China in a microcosm and is often viewed as a country within a country. The Chinese call the basin Tien Fu Chih Kuo, which literally means “Heaven on Earth”.

水是生命之源。假如地球上没有水，那么地球母亲就不会孕育出我们人类的子孙万代。人类的生存和发展也离不开水。因为我们每天要喝水，粮食的生长离不开水，工业生产离不开水。

可是，人类赖以生存的水资源却越来越少了。地球看起来并不缺水，它71%的面积被水覆盖，全球变暖、冰盖融化还在使海平面升高。但事实上地球水资源的97。5%都是咸水海水。要将海水加工为饮用或灌溉水需要大量的资金。人类赖以生存的淡水在地球所有的水储量中只占到2。5%，这其中大部分是深层地下水、冰川等难以利用的资源，易于利用的淡水(河流、淡水湖泊和浅层地下水)不足1%，有研究认为这一数字可能仅为0。25%，甚至更低。

相信有很多人都看过这样一则公益广告：电视画面上有一个水龙头，正在艰难地往外滴着水，滴水的速度越来越慢，最后水就枯竭了。然后画面上出现了一双眼睛，从眼中流出了一滴泪水。随之出现的是这样一句话：“如果人类不珍惜水，那么我们能看到的最后一滴水将是我们自己的眼泪。”

多么警醒的一句话，这恐怕也不是危言耸听。3月22日是世界水日，3月22日到28日是中国水周，同学们，让我们用我们的行动来保护生命之水。其实，不光在3月22日这一天，在我们生命中的每一天，都应该珍惜每一滴水，用实际行动珍爱生命之水!从今天开始，用完水之后请关好水龙头，努力做到一水多用，也请大家告诉我们的亲人、朋友增强节水观念，节约用水。
