我们只有一个地球，人类应该去珍惜它！地球是我们人类的美好家园，也是我们人类可爱的母亲，它默默无闻地为我们人类提供了各种各样的资源。地球对我们人类是那样的无私，那样的慷慨，那样的和蔼可亲，可我们人类却不顾后果地乱砍滥伐，滥用化学物品，任意开采各种矿产资源等，导致了我们地球母亲千疮百孔。为此，我要呼吁大家，一定要保护好地球，倍加珍惜这些宝贵资源，不要让地球母亲哭泣！

如今，地球妈妈已经被我们人类折磨得千疮百孔了。就拿水资源来说吧：水是生命之源，是人类赖以生存和发展的物质基础。有了它，才构成了这个蔚蓝的星球；有了它，整个世界才有了生命的气息；有了它，才有了我们，才有了整个世界。

而现在，养育我们，养育大自然的水，却面临着危险。随着人类对水的需求量日益增大，加上工业发展，水资源被污染，面临匮乏。据统计，我们地球表面有70%被水覆盖，但是在地表的水有97.5%为咸水，淡水仅占2.3%。地球上只有不到1%或0.7%的水可被人类直接利用。中国的人均淡水占有量却是世界平均水平的四分之一，居世界第121位，被列为13个贫水国家之一。

还有我们赖以生存的土地资源，它的状况也是不容乐观的。近年来耕地大量减少，人地矛盾日趋严重。耕地资源人均也数量少质量低。一是人均耕地在世界上处于低水平。人均耕地不及世界人均耕地的47%。全国已有666个县（区）人均耕地低于联合国粮农组织确定的0.8亩的警戒线，有463个县（区）低于0.5亩。二是耕地质量总体水平低。全国耕地分布在山地、丘陵、高原地区的占66%，在平原、盆地的仅占34%。现有耕地中，有9100万亩坡度在25度以下，长期耕作不利于水土保持。耕地的自然分布存在缺陷，全国耕地中74.5%是旱地，只有25.5%是水田。三是耕地退化严重。受荒漠影响，我国干旱、半干旱地区耕地的40%不同程度退化，全国有30%左右的耕地不同程度受水土流失危害。

看着这些数据，真是触目惊心啊。如果我们不对地球母亲加以保护，我们必将会受到应有的惩罚。因此，我们人类一定要珍惜资源，保护好和蔼可亲的地球母亲，不要让地球妈妈哭泣。

地球只有一个，人类只有珍惜资源，保护地球，才能有个美丽的明天。同学们，让我们携起手来，一起去保护我们的国土资源，保护我们的地球母亲吧！
