Im in my third year now in Environmental Sciences. And what do I want to do with my B.S. once I graduate? Become a librarian. Yes, I know it sounds completely random and unrelated, but thats my master plan. Right now Im preparing for all those crazy grad school applications that Ill be sending in next fall. My teacher gave me an assignment "experience life" last week. I had been thinking how to finish it because I had never done any thing by myself before.

Mother was out today. It was a good chance to complete the assignment. Seeing the barrel was empty, I decided to fetch water from the well.

I took the empty barrel and went towards the well outside the yard. It snowed yesterday, so the alley was very slippery. A layer of thickice was frozen on the platform of the well. I was frightened by the sight, but I gathered my courage to walk towards it.

The alley was so slippery that I walked with difficultly. Suddenly, I slipped and fell down, water in the barrel totally poured down on the ground. I stepped on the platform carefully. After standing steadily and squatting down slowly, I hooked the barrel at the end of the rope and put the rope down slowly. I made an effort to drag the barrel up after it was filled with water. I was very careful because it was easy to slip and fall. Then, I carried the barrel of water and returned to my house. My figners were frozen stiff. I realized my effort was in vain. I hated myself.

The Hero in My Heart

As we know, most people have heroes in their hearts. For me， Liu Xiang is

the hero in my heart. He is a famous Chinese sportsman.

Liu Xiang is good at running. In 2004， he won his first Olympic gold medal

in the men，s 110m hurdles event in Athens. Then, he set a world record in the

same event in Lausanne.Besides training and taking part in competitions, Liu

Xiang also likes singing and he sings well.

With his hard work, he is winning competitions one after another. This

encourages me to study harder from now on.

My idol is Chairman Mao. I think he must be many people’s idol. He is a great hero. It is him makes us live a better life. Without him, maybe we still can’t satisfy our hunger nowadays. In recent years, studying abroad has been popular in our country. More and more middle school students would like to go abroad through mediators. Is it good or bad to study abroad? In my opinion, on one hand, it has some advantages. Studying abroad can provide better studying conditions. People can make rapid progress in their foreign language study and it can also help widen their field of vision. Meanwhile, young students can learn advanced science and technology from foreign countries and spread cultures of different nations.

1992年，国家“七五”重点建设项目——齐大山矿扩建工程进入开工准备阶段，郭明义又考入英语强化班进修一年。1993年工程开工后，他担任了33台、每台价值1000多万元、载重量154吨生产汽车——电动轮现场组装的英文翻译。

美国犹格里德公司澳大利亚售后技术服务部中国区总管，两次劝说郭明义到他所在的公司工作，并承诺给予比他当时收入高6至7倍的工资，可老郭不为所动，说：“我上党校、夜校、进修，都是企业支付的学费，还发给我补贴。我对企业有感情，我要回报企业，对企业的发展有信心。”

虽然电动轮的进口备件质量检验不归郭明义负责，但每次对着备件做翻译时，他都认真检查，先后发现了5台电动轮有质量问题。公司与外方据理力争，最终获得10万美元的赔偿。

How time flies!I have studied in my school for three years. And I will graduate from middle school in a month. I am eager to share my happiness and sadness with you.

I had so many memories in three years’life. On of them impressed me very much. I still remember，when I began to learn English，I found it too difficult. No matter how hard I tried，I still couldn’t do well in it and almost gave it up. As soon as my English teacher found my problem，she had a talk with me about how to learn English well. 亲爱的自己，再动人的情歌、再凄美的故事也不适合即将中考的你。听英文歌可以练听力，摇滚可以提神，轻音乐能缓解压力。躲在被子里看小说绝对比看报纸看新闻累眼睛。所以当个文青不是不好，是你现在还不够资格。

亲爱的自己，虽然你要早起晚睡，你要改变自己很多的习惯，你要忍受寂寞。请记得要对自己好一点。记得每天喝一杯牛奶，喝茶好过喝咖啡。记得经常锻炼，身体会慢慢变好。记得不要暴饮暴食。记得阴天的时候奖励自己一个大大的微笑，并且带上伞不要淋湿。记得濒临崩溃的时候抱紧自己。

The sky misses white clouds, just as I miss home, but I always can not meet my hometown.

I dreamt of the clear lake in my hometown. It was just like the bright eye, looking at me and telling me something. I dreamt of wild grapes in my hometown, They were really sweet! To relieve the pain in my heart, I could only come home in my dream.

I miss home! I miss my grandmother, miss her sweet hug!
