Last week, I took part in an English speech contest which was held by our teachers. There were twelve students in the final contest. I was one of them.

Fifteen minutes before my turn, I picked my topic and prepared for it. I wrote down the outlines and organized what I was going to say. However, when I stood in front of all judges and students, I was extremely nervous. My mind was totally empty.

毕业了，还是毕业了，仿佛昨日还是一个刚刚步入校园的小学生……

那天考完试后，我们都回班里了，同学们虽然有千万般的不舍，但还是笑意盈盈的写同学录，签名。我也拿了一个本让同学们签名，上面还写了一些毕业赠言，我记得最清楚的一句话是：祝福你，我亲爱的同学，我们的友谊虽不是海誓山盟的，但却是最真诚、最宝贵的。

星期六早上我去了北京动物园。

I went there with my teachers by bus. It took us half an hour to get there. There were many kinds of animals. First, we went to see pandas. They were my favorite animals. How lovely they were!Then we watched the elephant show. The elephants were so clever that they were able to answer some math questions. At last, I took some photos of them. I had a great time. I stayed in Beijing Zoo for 2 hours.

More than twenty years ago, my hometown was just a small , old and poor town. Most of people were farmers. There were few factories. The people didn’t have enough food to eat and wore old clothes. They had a hard life .

On the first floor there is the dining room, the lounge or sitting room, the kitchen and the hall. In the hall we set a stand for hats, coats and umbrellas. A staircase leads from the hall to the landing on the second floor; On this floor there are four bedrooms, a bathroom and a lavatory.In front of the house we have a small garden in which we grow flowers: roses,tulips and some fruit trees. At the side of the house is a garage. We havent got a car up to now, but my moths said: wed have one at the end of this year. People ,in this high-consumer city are very rich, not like the people live in the inland,cities.

"Oct,1 of every year is our National Day.Today is Oct 1st,2012 and is also our National Day.It is a important festival in Ｃhina.The Fｉve- Star Flag is flying high in the sky of the Tiananmen Square. 我的暑假生活是快乐、丰富而又难忘的。因为，暑假里有妈妈带我去环境优美大运文化园玩呀，姐姐带我去吃烤翅，哥哥陪我下棋、还有小姨和姑姑陪我打牌、下棋呢，我多开心啊!

在这个暑假里，我虽然没有去参加什么兴趣班。但是，写作业、阅读、自学《新概念英语》都是我每天必须做的事情。我有时候也会打羽毛球、骑自行车、看电视、玩电脑、帮妈妈做一些力所能及的家务事。我还看了好多书，学到了好多知识，也懂得了好多道理。

在大运会期间，我以实际行动参与到志愿者服务当中，到不同的U站去参加和体验不同的活动，我还到地下停车场去宣传“绿色出行”。还能出色地完成了任务，你没想到吧，我很快就找到5名车主，同意在大运期间停开、或者不开车的签名，我作为一名大运会的小主人，我能为大运出一份力，我是多么的自豪啊!

所以说，我今年的暑假生活，与往年的相比，确实是不一样的感觉，不一样的精彩啊!

Water is very important for us. We must drink water everyday. We can’t live without water. Water is everywhere around us. At home, we use water to wash clothes, to wash dishes, to cook rice, to clean the flat, to have showers, to make drinks, to clean our teeth, to have a bath and so on. At work, people use water to put out fires, to grow vegetables, to make things in factories and so on. We also can swim in the sea. Water is important for us, isn’t it?

A poem:

Water has no taste at all.

Water has no color.

Water’s in the waterfall.

The pump.

The tap.

The well.

Water is everywhere around us.

Water is in the rain.

In the stream.

In the pond.

And in the river.

And in the sea again.

There isn’t much water on the earth. we must to save it. It is not inexhaustible.

It is very valuable.

Youth

Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .

Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .

When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.

As we can know,health is very important,but how to keep fit?

First,you should have a balancet diet.For example,you can eat less junk food and more vegetables.Next,doing sports is good for our health.If you like playing basketball,you can play it with your classmates after school.If you like riding bikes,please ride a bike to school every morning.Then,many students are stressed out all the day.So they should learn to relax themselves.Last,learning to communicate with qther people is very important,so you must learn it.

These are the easiest way to keep fit. I hope every student can have a good health。
