As far as I’m concerned, our English Department is the best department in our college. The teachers in our department are knowledgeable, experienced, and warm-hearted. And my classmates are nice, friendly and helpful. Thus, I have a good atmosphere to study. When I have difficulties in study, I always ask my teachers for help or discuss with my classmates. Through their help, I have made great progress in my English study.

我现在在湖南第一师范学校学习，这是主席之前呆过的学校。我的专业是英语，因为我觉得它很有趣。我觉得我们英语系是我校最好的学部。我们系的老师知识渊博，经验丰富，热心肠。我的同学们也很和蔼，友好，乐于助人。因此，我拥有一个很好的学习氛围。当我在学习上遇到困难时，我总是向我的老师寻求帮助或与同学讨论。在他们的帮助下，我在英语学习上取得了很大的进步。

College life is much different from high school life. In college, we should acquire knowledge as well as improve our integrated abilities. There are a lot of English classes for us to learn, such as Basic English, Oral English, Listening, Reading, Writing, Translation, Grammar, English Literature, and so on. I enjoy these classes very much. Except English, we have many other subjects to learn. Life seems so busy here but it’s so fruitful for me.

大学生活与高中生活有很大的不同。在大学，我们要获取知识也要提高我们的综合能力。我们要上很多的英语课，比如，基础英语，英语口语，听力阅读，写作，翻译，语法，英语文学等。我非常喜欢这些课。除英语外，我们还要学习很多其他科目。在这里生活是如此的忙碌，但这对我来说是如此丰硕的收获。

After class, I usually go to the English Corner. There I can practice my oral English by talking with foreigners or chatting with my schoolmates. Now, I’m able to communicate with foreigners well. Sometimes I also take part in some social activities. For instance, last weekend I attended an interesting play. As it was my first performance, I felt a little nervous at the beginning. But when I appeared on the stage, I made every audience laugh happily. I was so proud of myself at that moment, because this was my first achievement.

下课后，我经常去英语角。在那里我可以通过与外国人或我的同学聊天来练习我的英语口语。现在我可以很好的和外国人交流了。有时候我也可以参加一些社交活动。例如，上周我参加了一个有趣的表演。因为是我第一次表演，所以一开始的时候我觉得有点紧张。但当我出现在舞台上时，我让每一个观众都开心的笑了。在那一刻，我为我自己感到骄傲，因为这是我的第一个收获。

National Teacher Day is always the Tuesday of the first full week of May. And it is always for our students to give our special thanks to our lovely teacher.

I still remember last year when I was feeling lost,down and out,I had no idea about my life,my love,my study even doubt why I was here in the world.So then came so much wine and smoke,I was tired,physical and mental.I even wanted to end my life just jumping from the top of our building.

Then my teacher came to me, she said she knew what I was afraid of, she also told me thats very common like many young people of my age. She told me to call her anytime I need her help.I did so ,we often chat miracle and made some phone call.I just cant remember when come the mirical.I have found myself now!!!

感恩的心，感谢有你。感恩老师，老师像红烛一样，燃烧自己，照亮我们，照亮了祖国的桃李；老师向一盏灯，为我们指引前进的道路；老师像钥匙，为我们打开了知识的宝库……

在我小学的道路上，有许许多多的老师曾给予我知识。但在我的印象中，有一位老师改变了我的人生。她是我小学五年级的数学老师——郭宝华。

其实，我低年级时的数学成绩还是不错的，经常名列前茅，但是从上了四年级，数学成绩像是逆水行舟，一直往下降。四年级时的教我们数学的是个男老师，他很严厉，经常撕书撕本的，由于惧怕老师，所以四年级时的数学课，课上几乎我从来没有主动举手回答过问题。四年级毕业考试，我的成绩勉勉强强刚到九十分。

五年级开始后，换了个新数学老师，郭老师。郭老师虽说是个女老师，但一点也不比男老师温柔。我的数学成绩不但没有上升，反而继续倒退，先从一百分降到了九十多，后从九十多开始往下降，直到七十三分。考七十三分的那次，我被郭老师叫到了办公室。我原以为被她单独找到办公室去，不是被大骂一顿，就是被罚站一节课。没想到，郭老师要找我谈话。

郭老师问我为什么成绩会飞速下降，我摇头说不知道。郭老师温柔和蔼的说她虽然教了我们还没有半年，却已经了解了我的情况，知道我曾经也是个喜欢数学的孩子。而造成我数学成绩下降的原因一是我惧怕新老师，二是我太过于心焦。我数学成绩退步了，慌了手脚，不知道该怎么努力，而迷失了方向。本以为她会找我长篇大论一番，但她只说了几句话。是我至今记忆犹新。她说，我最大的敌人是粗心和胆小，希望我多努力，正确掌握自己的船舵。即使我的数学成绩不好，但我不服输的精神已经确定了我在她心中已经是个好学生的形象。不知道为什么，听到这些话，平时伶牙俐齿、叛逆的我，瞬间哑口无言。泪水不由的往下落……

正是有了郭老师的这几句话，我仿佛忘记了过去，忘记了曾经那数学不好的历史，开展了我人生的新航路。不到一年，我的数学成绩又升上来了。年终，数学成绩虽说不是很好，但是也洗刷了我的新纪录。同时也改变了我的性格，让我把“懦弱、粗心"扔进了万丈的深渊……年终发奖状时，当您看我双手捧着那金黄色的奖状，站在讲台上，您笑了，那微笑仿佛比向日葵还要灿烂……

感恩老师，把曾经那个懦弱、粗心我培养成了十佳好少年。郭老师，无论我的数学成绩好与坏，我永远感谢你。感谢您改变了我的人生……
