Dear Sir,

I am writing to apply for a British Council scholarship to study in Britain. I did my five years basic training in medicine at Shanghai University. After this I successfully completed a one-year postgraduate course in Ophthalmology at the Peoples General Hospital, where I am at present serving a two-year probation in the Eye Clinic.

As a result of the publication in 2003 of my article in New Scientist entitled "Soft and Rigid Contact Lenses ", which was based on a survey of 37 patients over 6 months, I made contact with Dr. Li Ming of the Capital Hospital and Dr. Ma Li of the University College Hospital. I have received their help and advice with my current research project, which is a two-year survey of the acceptance of various types of contact lenses in 200 patients.

Despite their help, I feel that I cannot make real progress in this field unless I can actually have day-to-day contact with these specialists. I would therefore like to continue my research at either the Capital Hospital or the UCH as soon as my probationary period here is completed, and I would like to study in Britain for two years.

I enclose a detailed curriculum vitae and an offprint of my article, together with two letters of recommendation from Dr. Li Ming and Dr. Ma Li.

一、丰富习作源泉，让学生敢写。

习作离不开生活，丰富多彩的学习生活是学生习作选材的重要源泉。在习作教学中，课堂上，我不是指导学生应该写这个，可以写那个，而是安排学生先观察自己周围的一切，草木虫鱼、山川河流、日月星辰等，培养他们的观察力，让学生多见多识，纵向延伸，开阔眼界，积累习作原料。通过如诗如画的大自然熏陶他们热爱大自然、热爱社会、热爱祖国的情操，从而树立敢写的信心，然后，我又横向拓宽，放低要求，让学生撇开心理负担，自由选材，引导他们在丰富的习作源泉里对号入座，产生生动直观的形象。有纵有横，扫除学生怕作文的阴影，使学生放开手脚敢写。

二、激发创作动机，让学生想写。

教学中我努力去发现学生习作的闪光点，哪怕是一点儿微小的进步，如一词、一句，都及时给予鼓励。一旦发现习作中的毛病，并不急于批评，而是耐心地和学生一起研讨交流，让学生弄清自己的不足之处，以及怎样该好。让学生的热情也能水涨船高。在要求不断提高的情况下，我又给学生增加“营养”，用心评改，鼓励学生自读自赏，让学生自己动手动脑改作文，从而让学生自愿地把看到的、听到的和想到的写下来。

Last week, my parents told me the good news that my family would go camping

根据课题总体研究方案，这学期我们课题开始进入调查和初步研究阶段。依据课题组的科研计划要求，再结合本校语文教学的实际情况，我们确立了本学期的研究主题和研究内容，并在科研课题研究层面和科研课题管理层面展开研究与探索，双轨并进。一学期来，取得较为明显的效果，在：“阅读深度”和“有效”上做足功夫，下面就本学期的科研工作进行全面总结。

首先,以课堂教学为载体，运用多种形式进行有效研究。

1、从教材入手寻找深度阅读的训练点。本期研究紧紧围绕“寻找阅读训练点，有效进行深度阅读教学”的要求，从教材入手，要求每位实验教师在小组集体研究的基础上，将本册每课的阅读教学训练点找出来，然后在小组里一起讨论其准确性。

2、从课堂教学探索深度阅读战略。以课堂教学为载体，采用科研轮流课的形式，围绕研究主题，展开研究课的研讨，本学期共上轮流课10余节，大家对寻找训练点都有了一起的体会，比方“在题目上寻找训练点”“在文中重点句子中寻找训练点”“训练点不在多，贵在精”等等，从这些执研教师的研究心语当中，可以看出经过一学期的研究，老师们理论基础增强了，深度阅读教学实践的能力也在提高了。

4、从优秀教案中总结胜利经验。本学期还重视教师反思，让老师们每学期根据自身上课的情况，撰写最为满意的一两份优秀教案.经过撰写，把阅读教学中的得失都记录下来，为下步的研究提供依据。本学期课题组教师撰写案例数篇，并精选出案例四篇，为今后留下了丰富的教学积累。

其次,以博客为平台，采取多种手段进行课题管理。

1、课题实行分级管理。明确课题负责人和执研教师的职责，收集相关课题资料并写好学习感受，保证课题的顺利实施。

2、课题实行分组管理。将执研人员分为高年级段、中年级段和低年级段三个小组，设立课题组长，依照年段目标的不同，进行大组科研和分组科研相结合，依照规定的听课节数进行本组和跨组科研活动，保证课题的延续性。

3、课题采用网络化管理。在学校网站教师博客科研平台中，采用博客团队的形式，将研究成员加入该课题。各研究成员根据课题组发出的主贴要求以回复的形式按时完成每项任务，每个月课题组长检查一次，将检查情况公布并记录，与期末科研考核挂钩。严格执行该课题的计划，每月组织课题专题研讨课一次，课题研究月评月结活动一次。期末资料收集依照要求，整理博客里的资料，按具体的规定进行装订。

while other one loves winter.The one who like summer might for its hot weather
