For several hours into the night I helped build fires and keep an eye on the younger children. Occasionally I, too, lit a torch and ran around like a mad man, screaming and waving a flaming bamboo pole.

This festival, which occurred six days before Chinese New Year, was just one of the experiences during the visit to my friends over the Spring Festival. The fifteenth day of the new year is celebrated as yuán xiāo jié (元宵节), otherwise known as Chap Goh Mei in Fujian dialect. Rice dumplings tangyuan (simplified Chinese: 汤圆; traditional Chinese: 湯圓; pinyin: tāngyuán), a sweet glutinous rice ball brewed in a soup, is eaten this day. Candles are lit outside houses as a way to guide wayward spirits home. This day is celebrated as the Lantern Festival, and families walk the street carrying lighted lanterns.

This day often marks the end of the Chinese New Year festivities.

spring Festival is coming soon! The festivel is considereded the most important one for Chinese people. It is on the first day of lunar year. It is also the day of reunion among family members. During these days, people would say "happy new year! or wish you make fortune! to each other. They would also visit their relatives and friends. Children would be given "red packets". Children would have more to eat and play than usual.Playing firecrackers is also a popular game for children.

In china if you invite people for meal, the person who invited other people would pay for the meal but it’s not the way in Western country. In western country people will think you only invited me but it’s not your responsibility to pay for me.

I can afford it. They won’t be happy if you pay for them. People in China would always put dishes into customer’s plate to show their hospitality, but they will think it’s not healthy because your chopsticks have been used by you. In western country like America not England, people will always give tips to waiter after they finished meal in a restaurant.

If you don’t they will not be happy because tips are one of their major income. In china this only happen in some top restaurants and hotels in large international cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Western people will also think you are rude if you make sound during the meal. Western people do not hold their bowl up even when they have a bowl of soup.

说起春节美食，我就想起了老爸的拿手好菜：烧茄子、糖醋排骨、红烧鲶鱼、宫保鸡丁等等等等，这些都是我爱吃的美食。这些菜不只我家有，你家也有比这些更好吃的美食。可不是我贪吃呦，谁看见美食可都会“垂延三尺”的。

先不说全国的美食有多少，就先聊聊我家乡的民间小吃吧!扁粉菜、葱油饼，可是我早餐的不二“饭”选呢!如果晚上你很渴，小米粥是你的最佳选择，我特别喜欢我老妈做的小米粥，香、嫩、纯!我现在还能流起口水呢。

接着就是春节桌上的美食。鸡鸭鱼汤，样样少不了，对了，还有热气腾腾的饺子，这年夜饭可够你饱餐一顿了吧。一家人围在饭桌上，热热闹闹的，这难道不是和和美美的最好诠释吗?

每逢佳节，我都会和老爸老妈一起去旅游，目的可不是为了看风景、陶冶情操，而是去品味各地的美食，这对我来说可是个享受呢!

First,I went to ocean park with my family in Hongkong.It was very relaxing there.I ate the sea food.I played with the dolphins!

It was really happy there!

“家里所有成员都的客厅里来!”我一声令下，爸爸妈妈、外公外婆，我和姐姐都到了客厅，于是我和姐姐开始主持，说完开场白，我们开始了新年的快乐游戏第一关。

我拿出了抽奖袋，第一位抽奖者是外公，外公异常倒霉，抽到了学鸭子走路，我们大家笑的前仰后合，惟独外公，他已经兴致勃勃的开始了，只见外公两腿往外撇，两手平放在腰上，嘴里还不停的叫着“嘎，嘎，嘎。”逗的大家笑的哈哈大笑。

下一位是外婆，她抽到了学狗叫，真惨，只听外婆叫了一声“汪汪汪”，便害羞的咬起了苹果，大家笑的更是合不拢嘴。

我和姐姐和爸爸妈妈都是好运气，抽到的分别是：吃自己喜欢吃的水果、唱支歌、说个笑话和跳舞，即使我们表演的都还好，但都被外公外婆给反击嘲笑了。

Favorite Spring Festival is the most important festival in China .Its to celebrate the lunar calendar s new year .In the evening before the Spring Festival ,families get together and have a big meal .

In many places people like to set off firecrackers .Dumplings are the most traditional food .Children like the festival very much ,because they can have delicious food and wear new clothes .They can also get some money from their parents. This money is given to children for good luck . People put New Year scrolls on the wall for good fortune .

The Spring Festival is the most important festival in China. It is on January 1st according to the Chinese lunar calendar(中国的农历). It’s China’s New Year’s Day. So usually a month before the festival people begin to buy food clothes and decorations(装饰) for houses.
