The villages soon found out from a wise gray-haired old man that the only way to scare the beast away was to set off firecrackers and light lamps and to hang red banners on each door. As the story goes, this was the beginning of a tradition that would last thousands of years.

So this story leads to the creation of many of other traditions for celebrating Chinese New Year. lets take a look at some of these traditions.

The Lunar New Year occasion to the Chinese people. It lasts about the first

早晨起来，大家一起贴春联、门画、小饰品……春联可真好，上联：新年新春新起点，下联：大吉大利大发展，横批：新年大吉。到处红彤彤的，洋溢着喜庆的气氛。中午，妈妈摆上了丰富的饭菜，有鸡、鱼、猪肉的得好多好多好吃的东西，让我的小嘴嚼个不停。（天啊！过完年要减肥啦！）

夕阳西下，妈妈又忙着准备年夜饭啦！爸爸和我也帮着妈妈洗菜，在不大的厨房里，在温暖的厨房里，我们忙得不亦乐乎！接着我又帮着妈妈包饺子（哈哈，爸爸帮不上忙——他不会）。

夜幕降临，我们一家人围坐在电视机旁边看“春节联欢晚会”边吃着丰盛的年夜饭，每个人的头顶上都顶着一片祥和的气氛。我爱这春节！爱它的食物，玩具，但最爱的还是过年的气氛——祥和，喜庆温暖的气氛。

除夕之夜是辞旧迎新的时刻，人们就要欢欢喜喜的送走牛年，迎接虎年的到来。

除夕之夜，我们的小区非常热闹。每幢楼的门口都贴上了春联；家家户户的门窗里都飘出年夜饭的香味；小孩子们穿着新衣服，在院子里尽情的追逐着、嬉闹着，有的在放着各种各样的礼花和鞭炮。

我们家的门上，贴上了爸爸买回来的的春联。春联是：“春风春雨春色，新岁新年新景”。横批是：“春意盎然”。

晚上，我们全家坐在一起，客厅的桌子上放着水果、点心、瓜子和糖果。我们一边吃着丰盛的年夜饭，一边等着看春节晚会。爸爸、妈妈今天显得特别高兴。爸爸妈妈都希望我今后学习要好好努力！更上一层楼！我说了许多祝福爸爸、妈妈的话，表示了今后要更加努力学习的决心。我也端起杯子说：“祝爸爸、妈妈在新的一年里身体健康、万事如意，生活得快快乐乐、踏踏实实”。我们全家都碰了杯，我喝的是饮料，爸爸、妈妈都喝了酒。

吃完年夜饭，我们全家围在一起看春节晚会。爸爸早就把春节晚会的节目单从网上

下载打印出来了。我们一边拿着节目单，一边看着电视。今年的春节晚会可精彩了。有歌曲、戏曲、杂技、舞蹈、小品、相声、魔术等40多个节目。尤其是赵本山的《捐助》、黄宏的《美丽的尴尬》、冯巩的《不能让他走》，逗得我们都笑痛了肚子。整个春节联欢晚会的节目真是一年比一年精彩。

到了晚上十二点，晚会的气氛达到了高潮，门外也响起了此起彼伏的鞭炮声。我们全家都来到楼下的小区里看热闹。小区里的人可多了，大人、小孩都在放着鞭炮。那噼里啪啦的鞭炮声，震得我和姐姐早就捂起了耳朵。一束束五颜六色的烟花直冲云天，然后爆炸、散开，真是五彩缤纷，好看极了。小区里到处都是欢声笑语。

那满天的礼花和此起彼伏的鞭炮声，一直延续了好久好久。那>幸福之花，既是对牛年的告别，又是对虎年的欢庆，它开在天上，落在地上，也开在大人和孩子们的心中。

这真是一个难忘的除夕之夜！
