爷爷有一双小小的眼睛，一个向上翘的大嘴巴永远挂在他脸上，还有一个大大的肚子。爷爷已经68岁了，但仍然天天早起扛着锄头，去前、后院给蔬菜、水果浇水、除草。 家里前、后院种的水果、蔬菜，全是我爷爷辛辛苦苦种的。要问为什么要种这些，那要从五年前说起。

五年前，我们家前、后院空荡荡的，只有一棵桂花树在前院孤零零地“站”着，当时后院只有杂草，而且市场上的蔬菜都是有用农药的，爷爷不放心，下定决心要在后院种 “放心菜”。爷爷从市场买了十几颗白菜种子，在后院的土地上，挖了十几个坑，把种子撒了下去，盖上土，再拿起水壶浇点水。就这样，爷爷每天早起浇水、除草、除虫，功夫不负有心人，在爷爷的精心照料下，种子开始发芽、长叶，最后成了一颗颗又大又壮的“放心菜”。爷爷看见我们吃着他亲手种的大白菜，心里别提多高兴了。

可是，前院还是只有一颗桂花树，爷爷想了想：以后后院就种蔬菜，前院嘛……就种水果!爷爷赶紧来到市场，买了几种水果种子。爷爷回到家里就播下这几种水果的种子。爷爷又像种蔬菜时那么勤劳认真，天天料理水果，心想如果水果成熟了，吃着自家种的水果，大家一定会很开心的!几个月后，水果都成熟了，爷爷伸出手，抓住无花果，用力向下一拔，把无花果送到我跟前说：“小龙，尝尝看!”我咬了一大口，说：“哇!真甜，爷爷真勤快!”

这就是我爷爷，一位勤劳的爷爷，也是我最敬佩最值得学习的爷爷!正是因为有了爷爷，才有了我们的幸福生活。
