We have just moved into a new flat,like most people here living in their houses in the suburbs. Our house is big though it consists only two floors.

On the first floor there is the dining room, the lounge or sitting room, the kitchen and the hall. In the hall we set a stand for hats, coats and umbrellas. A staircase leads from the hall to the landing on the second floor; On this floor there are four bedrooms, a bathroom and a lavatory.In front of the house we have a small garden in which we grow flowers: roses,tulips and some fruit trees. Thereis also a vegetable garden where we grow all kinds of vegetables, such as cabbages, cauliflowers, and tomatoes. We all know how to plant vegetables for my father was once a vegetable grower.

At the side of the house is a garage. We havent got a car up to now, but my moths said: wed have one at the end of this year. People ,in this high-consumer city are very rich, not like the people live in the inland,cities.

我们家刚搬进一座新房。房子就像这里郊区大多数的住房一样。虽然只有两层，但房子很大。

10 The National Day

"Oct,1 of every year is our National Day.Today is Oct 1st,2012 and is also our National Day.It is a important festival in Ｃhina.The Fｉve- Star Flag is flying high in the sky of the Tiananmen Square. And we can have a eight-- days holiday.During the holiday,people can go to some places of interest for visiting.

On the early morning of the 1st day, I had my breakfast quickly with my family, and then went shopping outside with my several friends.After lunch, I went to the park and played badminton with my younger brother.I had planed to travel to some places of interest but yoｕcan see so many people ， so many cars，and traffic jam everywhere , so I spent the holiday at home. 句型1. It happened(chanced) that +clause. = sb. happened /chanced sth. = sb. did sth. by chance. 如：

句型2、It seems that sb. do/ be doing/ have done/ had done= Sb. seems to do/ be doing/ have done/ had done 如：(还有动词appear可这样使用)

二、定语从句：

句型1、由as引导的非限定性的定语从句。如：

As we have known, he is a most good student.众所周知，他是个很好的学生。

句型2、由which引导的非限定性的定语从句。如：

He is a professor, which I have been looking forward to becoming.

他是个教授，那是我一直盼望的职业。(因为先行词professor是表示职业的名词，因此引导词用which，而不用who。(注意：关于which和as之间的比较请看语法的定语从句部分。)

三、让步状语从句

句型1、No matter what / which / who / where / when /

whose+从句，+主句。注意从句中的时态一般情况用一般现在时态。如：

四、条件状语从句

句型1、When / So long as / As long as / Once +从句，+主句。(从句也可以放在主句之后。)如：
