老家门口的那条泥土路，变成了一条宽阔的水泥路，汽车可以直接开到家门口了。一排排羊舍平地而起，一颗颗桃树迎风招展，小鸟在桃树上叽叽喳喳快乐地唱着歌，农民伯伯在田地里欢快地打着号子。走在乡间道路上，如同在一幅有声画卷上行走，美妙极了。

爷爷在自家田地上辛苦地忙碌着。我走到他身边，给他拭去额头上的汗水，递去一杯热水，说：“爷爷，你辛苦了，休息一下，喝口水吧！”爷爷停下手中的活儿，笑着说：“不辛苦！”我又问：“爷爷，你这么大的年纪了，还这么辛苦，该退休了。”爷爷抚摸着我的头，笑着说：“我不辛苦，我身体很好，永远不退休！”我很疑惑地问：“为什么永远不退休？”爷爷语重心长地说：“孩子，你不懂啊，现在党的政策好，农民伯伯养羊养猪的话，政府都会有补贴，种树种粮也有补贴。政府鼓励农民搞副业创收。以前种地要交‘三两四钱’，现在还会有补贴。爷爷现在也像城里退休的人一样有养老保险金拿，有医疗保险。十八大召开了，还有更多的政策呢！你说这样的美好生活爷爷还要退休吗？”说完，爷爷开心地笑了。

要说到我们小区，现在可是个环境优美、团结、和睦、积极向上的小区，那可是全国示范的和谐小区。可您还不知道吧，从前我们小区可是个环境脏、乱、差的地方。

先从“脏”说起：一到早晨，人们都不愿意开窗户，只要一打开窗户，臭味扑鼻，垃圾到处都是。还有楼房上的尘土，只要一下雨，阳台窗户上仿佛是被污染的小河，都成泥水汤子了。环境真差呀！可现在环境大不一样了，整整齐齐、干干净净、井井有条。我们小区每栋楼房前都安放了绿色垃圾桶，有专业的保洁人员负责打扫卫生。而且我们小区还成立了社区志愿者服务队，组织大家做好环境保护、环境卫生、绿化美化、节水防汛、铲冰扫雪等等。现在我们小区的环境可干净了，就像住在花园里一样。

再说说过去我们小区的“乱”，小商小贩东摆西摆，我们出去玩都得绕着他们走。小区里经常堵车堵得乱七八糟，交通秩序非常乱，家长都担心我们的安全。现在我们小区有了几个有特色的小超市，买菜购物非常方便。小区的生活秩序好多了，我们可以安安全全地上下学了。

原来我们小区只有一片空地让我们锻炼，没有任何健身器材，生活可单调了。现在可大不一样了。2003年小区腾出300平方米的场地作为居民锻炼场所，还为大家安装了13件健身器材。每天这片场所可热闹了，有早上锻炼身体的，打太极拳的，练剑的。中午有老年合唱队唱歌的，社区时装队表演的。晚上居民们聚在一起唱歌跳舞。我们的生活变得丰富多彩！

现在我们小区成为了整洁、美丽、生活多姿多彩的和谐社区。我们小区的变化可真大啊！
