It is universally acknowledged that Senior Three is undoubtedly a critical phase of life. The school life is extremely busy, so our monitor suggests that we have an outing to relax ourselves this weekend.

It is terrific! After a month s study, I feel we really need a break for one day, and so do some of my friends. Senior Three should not be filled with study only and relaxation is also an important part. Sometimes relaxation is more useful than an hour s hard work. While having an outing, we can relax ourselves and enjoy the beautiful scenery of autumn --- yellow leaves, attractive sunset against the blue sky and so on. Isn t it enjoyable? Hong Kong and Macao are parts of China in history， but they were separated from the motherland for some political reasons。 China has been getting richer and stronger since its opening to the outside world。 On July 1， 1997， Hong Kong finally returned home。 On December 20， 1999， Macao returned home， too。 Great changes have taken place in both Hong Kong and Macao。 It shows the development and great strength of our country。

Taiwan is an intergral part of China。 The Chinese people as well as most of the people from Taiwan are looking forward to the day on which Taiwan will return home。 We are sure that day will come sooner or later。

There was an English songs singing competition last weekend. Our class won the fist prize. We were all very happy. Though I didn’t take part in it. I felt nervous for the two contestants. But their behavior was so good that I thought it was no necessary to worry about them. The winner, Chen Liang, lives in the room that is opposite to mine. Before the competition, I could always hear her sing loudly at night. She practiced so hard that I think she deserves to win.

Today I knew a new English teacher who is from Wuxi, Jiangsu. He asked us to play a game. The rule was simple. We should only say a word which begins with the last letter of the word that the student before you said. The student who can’t say the word in 30 seconds should perform for everyone. The game was easy, but some of us were still asked to perform. Some of us gave others a hint. Then he asked us to stop and told us we must obey the rule, or the game couldn’t help us. He also told us something else about it. I think what he said was quite profound. I felt happy to know him.
