有一天清晨，我在阳台上和妈妈一起打理花花草草的时候，看见爸爸在楼下遛巴顿，我朝它叫了一声：“巴顿，看这里。”巴顿顺着声音，抬起头，它竟然朝我咧开嘴笑了一下，舌头都伸出来了。爸爸告诉我，刚才巴顿可威风了，被小区保安叔叔表扬了呢。原来，巴顿在我们楼后面的绿化带里“搜索”出一部还着开机的手机，一定是哪位领居晨练的时候不小心遗落的吧。爸爸牵着巴顿，把手机交给了保安。难怪刚才叫巴顿的时候，它昂起头朝我笑，原来是在求表扬呀！我的巴顿就像是大侦探一样。

在和巴顿一起的两年多时间里，它带给我许多开心的回忆。它已经是我家的成员之一了，我们全家人都爱它。就算它再淘气，在我眼中也是那么可爱。

通过养巴顿，我明白了一个道理。无论是人、还是动物都有自己的天性，也有它独特之处。我们都要看它好的一面，就会越来越爱它。所有的生命无论是人、动物、植物，包括一切被造之物，都有存在的意义和价值，都是独一无二的。
