一会儿，我和妈妈到了外婆家，我看见外婆，连忙走过去说：“外婆，祝你健康长寿。”外婆笑了，摸摸我的头说：“你真懂事，真有礼貌。”说完，外婆从口袋里拿出一个红包给我，我双手接红包，高兴地说：“谢谢你外婆。”然后我和表兄弟表姐妹们去玩，妈妈和爸爸进外婆家的房子里聊天。我们去外婆的空地去玩放鞭炮，我还带来了一架赛车，我控制赛车一边跑一边叫，一不小心摔了一跤，逗得表兄弟、表姐妹捧腹大笑。直玩到中午，吃了团圆饭才回家。我对爸爸说：“今天我玩得很高兴，还逗得表兄弟、表姐妹捧腹大笑呢，今天我很高兴。”

啊!过年可真好呀，我喜欢过春节。

The Spring Festival is my most favorite festival, because it’s time for family gathering. And the Spring Festival is a new start of a year. It brings me hope and courage. On Spring Festival, my parents usually take me back to my hometown. My hometown is a small town. Many of my relatives move to the larger cities, but we usually go home when the Spring Festival comes. During the gathering, we share our lives with others and care about each other. Of course, big meals are necessary. Families prepare for the big meals together. They all cook their specialty dishes. Therefore, our meals are always delicious. We often stay at home for three days and then we leave with others’ wishes. I like the Spring Festival, because I like family gathering.

春节是我最喜欢的节日，因为它是家人团聚的日子。春节也是一年中新的开始，它带给我希望和勇气。在春节这一天，我父母经常带我回老家。我的老家是一个小镇。我很多亲戚都搬到大城市去了，但是春节的时候我们经常回老家。团聚之时，我们相互分享各自的生活，互相关心。当然，大餐是少不了的。全家人一起准备丰盛的晚餐。他们都煮自己擅长的菜。所以，我们的晚餐总是很美味。我们通常在家一起待上三天，然后带着各自的祝福离开。我喜欢春节，因为我喜欢家人团聚。

我眼中的春节是幸福的。过年期间，大家团聚再一起。说说笑笑，玩玩闹闹，好不开心!除夕夜，我们全家坐在柔软的沙发上一起嗑瓜子、吃水果、吃点心，一起聊开心的是，一起看春节联欢晚会……我们有说有笑，一起守岁，其乐融融。我特别开心，感觉幸福无比。

我眼中的春节也是香甜的。大年三十的晚上，我们全家动员，做了一大桌美味可口的饭菜：好吃的饺子，可口的羊肉汤，雪白的鱼丸，碧绿的青菜，香甜的水果，还有饭后的点心……我狼吞虎咽地吃着，有满满的温暖感。

我眼中的春节更是欢乐热闹的。放鞭炮是过年的老习俗了。春节前我们一家去及时买了一大堆漂亮而可爱的烟 花 爆

竹，准备吃完年夜饭燃放。我吃过年夜饭一抹嘴，就嚷着让爸爸放烟花，只见他把那一堆烟 花 爆

竹一起抱出来放在院子里。我高兴地大叫：“耶，太好啦!太好啦!终于要放烟花了!终于要放烟花了!”我话音刚落，一支支美丽的烟花就像火箭一样腾空而起，在天空中形成许多可爱的图案：像笑脸，像太阳，像花朵，像小猫小狗……看着这些美丽的烟花，我开心的手舞足蹈，嘴巴张得都快要比西瓜大了。我喊着要爸爸给我点烟花玩。爸爸拿出一根又细又长的烟花给我点着。烟花瞬间喷出五颜六色的火花，我舞动这烟花，在空中划出一个个圆券，绕成一条条彩带，兴奋极了。

All people living away from home go back， becoming the busiest time for transportation systems of about half a month from the Spring Festival. 你有梦想吗?我有哦!我的梦想是考上29中这所我认为很理想的初中。三、四年级时我还没有这个梦想，到了五年级我才开始有了这个梦想，我知道小升初是第一个转折点。

我定下这个梦想后，就开始努力朝我的梦想靠近。我觉得奥数是一个绊脚石，决定专门攻破奥数。妈妈听了非常高兴，立马帮我报了一个奥数班。一开始我还觉得不是太难，到了后面就跟不上了。每天晚上都在做老师给我们的奥数题有时候11点多了还不肯睡觉，一直说：“最后一题!”因为我不服，题目是死的，我是活的，我连题目都斗不过。那时我也很想一头栽在床上，美美的睡上一觉。但为了我的梦想，我拼了!有一次我正在吃饭，突然想到了一道奥数，赶紧丢下碗，跑到书桌旁把想到的都写了下来，呀!是错的!我又想可能是这样······5、10、20分钟都过去了，我还没做出来，我仍没有放弃，端着碗一边吃一边想，想到了就写。就这样半个小时过去了，我终于做出来了。我非常高兴，感觉想我的目标又近了一步。

我始终记得杜鲁门·卡波特的一句名言：梦想只要能持久，就能成为现实。所以我坚持每天攻破奥数，希望我的愿望能够实现。

My winter vacation

我的寒假

During the winter vacation, nothing is different for my life. I wake up 11 o’clock Am everyday, after a washing, I have a good lunch with my parents. Next I play computer games till the time to have supper. After have dinner. I go on playing till 2 o’clock Am, and then go to sleep with tired. This is one dull day of my winter vacation.

寒假期间，我的生活没有什么不同的。我每天十一点醒来，洗完碗后，与我的父母吃丰盛的午餐。之后我玩电脑游戏，玩到吃晚饭的时候。晚餐后。我继续玩游戏玩到凌晨两点，然后去睡觉了。这就是寒假我暗淡无光的一天生活。

But I haven’t bored all the time. Sometimes I read the books, sometime I listen to the music or the radio in the bed，because it was very cold outside and snowy all the day. And I also meet some of my good friends during the vacation ,we have a very long talk about the life of each other in the past year and play table tennis tegether .And I watched the spring festival party of the CCTV in the last seconds of the 2011 year! I think this is the thing most people of china doing at that time.

但我不是所有的时间都是那么的无趣。有时候我读书，有时我听音乐或在床上听收音机，因为外面很冷而且一整天都在下雪。寒假的时候我也会跟我一些好朋友见面，我们会聊各自在过去一年里的生活，一起打乒乓球。我会在2011年的最后一秒钟看中央电视台春节联欢晚会!我认为这是中国的大多数人会做的事情。

农历新年又到了!除夕当天一大清早，天都还没亮，全家人就精神抖擞的准备好东西，坐上爸爸的车，我们要回爷爷、奶奶家过年啰!本来以为我们已经算很早出发了，没想到车子一上高速公路，哇!原来有这么多人跟我们一样，赶早要回老家过新年呢! The Lunar New Year is here again! Early in the morning on New Years Eve, the sky was not bright, and the whole family was ready to be trembling.Back to Grandpa and Grandmas New Year! I thought we had set off very early. I didnt expect the car to take the highway on the highway. Wow! It turned out that so many people were like us, and they would go back to my hometown to have a New Year!

到了!终于到了!爷爷、奶奶听到车声，开心的出来迎接我们。哥哥和我拿出自己写的春联，请爸爸帮忙贴在大门口，爷爷开玩笑的说，明年要早一点回来在大门口摆摊子写春联卖给路过的人，逗得我们兄弟俩哈哈大笑!

傍晚，大家将一道道佳肴拿到四楼祭拜祖先，祈求来年平安顺利，感谢祖先保祐大家一整年。接着准备吃年夜饭了，奶奶是大厨，伯母和妈妈当奶奶的左右手，三人合作煮了一整桌的年夜菜，好丰盛呀!团圆饭开动啰!大人们举杯互道新年好，哥哥和我则大快朵颐了一番。吃完年夜饭后，红包时间到了，领红包是小孩子最开心的一刻，在祝贺声中，我的口袋也被红包塞得满满的呢!

初一一早，电话响不停，好多的亲友都打电话来拜年，来爷爷家拜年的亲戚更是络绎不绝，往后的几天都是如此。我们小朋友白天会到附近的学校操场打球，或是在中庭玩游戏。到了晚上，我们或玩仙女棒，或坐在院子里欣赏美丽的夜空，有时候则是坐在客厅不停地吃零食、看电视，听大人们聊天。

长辈们都会轮流陪奶奶打麻将，我觉得好奇，凑过去看热闹，看着看着，好像也看懂了一些，觉得打麻将并不难，还可以动脑筋训练思考。看了一会儿后，爸爸就让我坐下陪奶奶玩，并且在一旁指导我。玩了一会儿，我弄懂了游戏规则，竟然还连赢了好几场!长辈们都说我好厉害，伯母还说要帮我报名麻将比赛呢!妈妈告诉我，麻将是个不错的休闲益智活动，但是只能在家里玩，不可以到外面赌博，如果把它变成赌博行为就不好了!

回爷爷、奶奶家过年真有趣，全家团圆好热闹!希望爷爷、奶奶身体健康、长命百岁，每年农历新年，我们都能回到老家全家团圆“过新年”。

二月十四日 星期日 雨春节，即中国人的新年，是中国最重要的节日。从一月末到二月初人们忙着为新年做准备。他们打扫房屋、理发和买新衣服。饺子是最受欢迎的。对那些远离家乡的人们，春节是一个合家团聚的时刻。他们经常回家和家人欢度春节。新年第一天人们访友并互祝新年好运。

Nowadays we see supermodels on almost every magazine cover and one might wonder what life will be like being one of them. Such assumption may be painful for most of the magazine readers who are already over the age when they can get taller. In response to the ”Getting taller trend”, some goes so far as to pay doctors to cut their legs open and let surgeries do the job to get just two centimeters’ higher.

In spite of all these that are happening, some of my taller friends desire to give up this superiority for they just don’t want to be the center of the crowd, saying that they would kill to be a 4 feet child. Girls, maybe you can’t remember the time when you were younger and you need to jump really hard to catch a glimpse of up-the-table world? But being taller, even the upper world of the refrigerator top is no longer a myth and your mom and dad can’t hide your snacks up there any more! As time goes on, you can easily see on the table the beautiful lavenders or lilies stretching themselves in their own fragrant smell, the shining toaster popping out warm tasty toast, or the little drops of water glittering under bright sunshine after your mom wipes the table. Don’t you just love to see every phase of the moon even when they are not that high up in the sky?

Well, I do. Being a 5 ft 10 myself, I am also taking the advantage of buying a larger outfit at a same price. Also, I get a cleaner view of the blackboard even when sitting far away from it. I run faster, jump higher and can think positively. I am proud to say that I possess the ability to see the upside of almost everything. I guess it is because I am closer to the clear blue sky above our heads.
