My mother has no idea that her ninetieth birthday is coming up. She has no notion of the time of day, the day of the week. the season of the year, the year of the century. No notion of the approaching millennium. And no idea any longer, who I am. 1.合作性学习的发展与现状;

合作性学习(CooperativeLearning,简称CL)是20世纪70年代初兴起于美国，并在20世纪70年代中期至80年代中期取得实质性进展的一种新兴教学理论与策略。

目前，合作性学习已广泛应用于美国、以色列、德国、英国、加拿大、澳大利亚、荷兰、日本、尼日利亚等国的中小学教学之中，对于改善课堂内的社会心理气氛，大面积提高学生的学业成绩，促进学生良好的非认知品质的发展起到了积极的作用，其实效令人瞩目。

我国学者王坦自1993年承担省级教育科学重点研究课题“合作教学研究与实验”以来，潜心于合作教学理论的研究，1994年出版了《合作性学习导论》一书，填补了我国合作性学习理论研究的空白。

2.合作性学习在英语学习中的作用;

英语是一门非常适合于合作性学习的学科，学生们可以通过多种合作方式取长补短、相互促进，甚至教学相长。具体说来，我们认为有以下几方面作用：

第一，师生角色的互补与教学性质的变化。通过合作性学习中强调的多种措施，能够突出高中英语教学过程中作为学生一方的主体性，这时，学生成为真正的学习的主人。学生在学习英语活动中的行为由被动的接受知识变为积极主动的建构英语知识、探索英语知识，此间学生的个人经验、学习风格得到了最大程度的尊重，一种自我发现的精神得到了鼓励。英语教师不再充当英语课程知识的泛泛传授者和真理灌送者，而真正成为了学生学习英语知识的帮助者、促进者甚至合作者。
