The blossoming begins in Okinawa in January, and typically reaches Kyoto and Tokyo at the end of March or the beginning of April. Then it proceeds north, arriving in Hokkaidō a few weeks later. Japanese pay close attention to these forecasts. They will go to parks, shrines and temples with family and friends and hold a "flower viewing party" known as hanami. Hanami festivals celebrate the beauty of sakura, and for many, it is a chance to relax and enjoy the beautiful view. Hanami custom in Japan dates back to many centuries ago. The Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China is called the "Ten thousand Ii Great Wall" in Chinese. In fact, it s more than 6 000 kilometres long. It winds its way from west to east, across deserts, over mountains, through valleys till at last it reaches the sea. It is one of the wonders of the world.

The Great Wall has a history of over twenty centuries. The first part of it was built during the Spring and Autumn Period. During the Warring States Period, more walls were put up to defend the borders of the different kingdoms. It was during the Qin Dynasty that the kingdom of Qin united the dif ferent parts into one empire. To keep the enemy out of his empire, Emperor Qin Shi Huang had all the walls joined up. Thus, the Great Wall came into being.

The Great Wall is wide enough at the top for five horses or ten men to walk side by side. Along the wall are watchtowers, where soldiers used to keep watch. Fires were lit on the the towers as a warning when the enemy came.

It was very difficult to build such a wall in the ancient days without any modern machines. All the work was done by hand. Thousands of men died and were buried under the wall they built. The Great Wall was made not only of stone and earth, but of the flesh and blood of millions of men.

Today the Great Wall has become a place of interest not only to the Chinese but to people from all over the world. Many of them have come to know the famous Chinese saying: "He who does not reach the Great Wall is not a true man."

"Dogs need to be exposed gradually and repetitively to stimulation, to the environment, toloud noises, to sounds and other dogs so that when this experience happens to them on adaily basis, theyre able to act in a way that theyre used to acting and that they dont getexcitable."

Stacy Huckebas nine-month-old dog, Striker, is still in training to be a guide dog.

"I dont fly a lot so I dont know a lot, but, so I dont know the routine myself. So with a dog Iwould have been lost."

Dog owners who attended the training at Air Hollywood K9 Flight School say they now feelmuch more at ease about future flights. Their dogs also seem ready for takeoff.

I am a 10 years old boy. Smart and handsome. I am proud of myself. Because

I can get perfect scores in Chinese, math and English. It is not good enough, I

am also proud of being an elder brother. That is a Friday evening, my baby

brother was crying all the time. My parents were both cooking for dinner.

I said to my mum; let me look after this little thing. My mum said, “are

you sure you can?” “Yes, believe me I can.” I answered. Then mum went to the

kitchen. I went towards my baby brother. “Oh baby, don’t cry. I will sing a song

for you…” I carried him and sing songs for him. After a while, he was asleep. I

was so tired. My parents were happy and praised me a good boy. This is my first

time to look after my baby brother and I feel proud of myself.

If life is a book, then the university life is the most beautiful color in the book; if life is a drama, then the university life is the most wonderful scene of the play, if life is a long journey from birth to death; then we have a college life, can see the most splendid scenery. Friends, at the best time of life, have you raised the sail to the other side of the ideal? Have you stretched out your strong wings and go to the free sky? When I was in college, I studied very hard. As a major of English, I often practiced my oral English. Every time, I could think in English. After thinking and expressed my thoughts to others in English. Although sometimes I couldnt speak English so freely, other people still appreciated me, because of my confidence.

In English class, I was always the first one to open my mouth, so my teachers always praised me for my good pronunciation, and my classmates also admired me for my courage. It seemed as if I were on top of the world.

However, I have few chances to speak English now, because my job has nothing to do with English. What a great pity! How I wish to work with foreigners, so that I can use my great English.
