It is generally believed that a high diploma guarantees a promising future. Some people identify high diplomas with profound knowledge and exceptional competence. Companies also tend to emphasize the academic achievement of a job candidate. Like it or not, there does exist a social reality – the higher diplomas one gets, the more popular he becomes。

So we have thousands of millions RMB loan with very high interest rate while a large amount of cash in bank with very low interest rate was idle. In the U.S., mother’s day is a holiday celebrated on the second sunday in May. It is a day when children honor their mothers with cards, gifts, and flowers. It was first observed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1907. Long before that, there were days honoring mothers even in ancient Greece. In those days, however, it was Rhea, the mother of the gods who was given honor.

Later, in the 1600s, in England there was an annual observance called "Mothering Sunday". It was celebrated during June, on the fourth sunday. On Mothering Sunday, the servants, who generally lived with their employers, were encouraged to return home and honor their mothers. It was traditional for them to bring a special cake along to celebrate the occasion.

In the U.S., in 1907, Ana Jarvis, from Philadelphia, began a campaign to establish a national mothers day. Jarvis persuaded her mothers church in Grafton, West Virginia to celebrate mothers day on the second anniversary of her mothers death, which was the second sunday in May. The next year mothers day was again celebrated in Philadelphia. Jarvis and others began a letter-writing campaign to ministers, businessmen, and politicians in their quest to establish a national mothers day. They were successful. In 1914, the American president proclaimed mothers day a national observance that was to be held each year on the second sunday of May.

Not much is known about the earliest London Bridge although it’s location is thought to be near the present one. The Construction of Tower Bridge began in 1885 and it was opened 9yrs later by Edward VII the then Prince of Wales, Amidst pomp and ceremony. It is the only bridge in London that can be raised to allow ships to pass. Since the Thames is no longer used much as a trade and shipping route, the complex lifting mechanism is only used 4 or 5 times a week. 我乐观向上、富有热情、热爱集体、团结同学、有强烈的责任心。在校期间，我勤奋上进，积极参与学校开展的各项活动。曾在“校园歌手大赛”中荣获“最佳潜力奖”。在院学生会中任职两年多时间，曾人学习部部长一职。期间，我工作积极，敢作敢为，得到了老师和同学的认可。并荣获了“优秀学生会干部”和“优秀学生干部”的嘉奖。20**年，我加入了中国共产党。

课外，我积极参与社会实践活动。在活动中，学习和体味到一个社会团体的工作方式和社会号召力，亲眼看到了一个社团的影响力的逐渐变大。也让我逐渐认识到了要超越自我。

现实毕竟不同于理想，必然有不足和缺点，勇敢地面对现实，承认现实，不回避自己存在的不足与缺点，真正做到实事求是地对待自我，就是一种自我超越。实事求是既不抹杀、掩盖自己的优点和成绩，也不夸张、扩大、炫耀自己的长处和进步。夸张、扩大、炫耀自己的长处，易造成过分的自信和自尊。过分自信会导致自负、自傲；过分自尊会导致虚伪、做作、装腔作势。同时，人必须拥有适当的自尊心和自信心。适当的自尊心是激励个人力争上游、勇攀高峰、追求崇高目标的巨大动力；适当的自信心是个人健康成长不可缺少的一种心理品质。一个人如果看不到自己的实际力量，就可能忘记妄自菲薄，或者是妄自尊大。因此，大学生要超越自我，首选必须在保证维持适当自尊心和自信心的前提下实事求是地观照自我

承认现实，实事求是地对待自我，命运掌握在自己手中，勤奋铸就成功，我相信自己会有一个美好的未来。

在学校指导教育下，培养了我努力进取、积极向上的品质。本人性格开朗，善于交流，具有团队协作精神；对新事物新知识有受能力，富于创新精神，乐于接受挑战。

当今社会是充满竞争的社会，对人才能力素质的要求越来越高，而机械这门学科，是一个庞杂的系统学科，它与计算机和电子有着密不可分的关系，而且机械更需要实践和动手的技能。所以，我除了在学习上狠下功夫外，还自学了有关电子和计算机方面的很多知识。

大学不但是一个展示自我能力和个性的舞台，还是一座通向社会的桥梁，为了能够使自己步入社会以后，游刃有余，我积极参加学校和班级组织的各种活动，并将同学关系处理融洽。能积极参加社会实践，多次为一些公司做过宣传员和业务员。 这些活动不仅给了我提供了展示自我、锻炼自我的机会，也锻炼了我的一些组织和策划能力、协调管理能力，培养了我的团队合作精神，更使我的能力更上一层。

此外在大学期间的学习生活中和一定量的社会经历，使我养成了冷静自信的性格和踏实严谨的工作作风，并赋予我参加社会竞争的勇气。

然而，所学知识是有限的，大学培养的仅仅是一种思维方式和学习方法，“纸上谈兵终觉浅，绝知此事要躬行”。因此，我将在今后实践中虚心学习，不断钻研，积累工作经验，提高工作能力。

我知道贵公司向来很重视人才的引进和培养。而我具备较好的知识结构和自学能力。所以我自信有能力胜任贵单位的工作。若被贵单位录用，我将会在自己的岗位上踏实工作，勤奋学习，并以良好的拼搏精神在这个集体中实现自己的价值。
