2010年，扬州也参与了“文明城”的评比，身为一名扬州人，我感到很自豪，在评比没出来之前这段时间，我在我们邗江区就看到很多文明活动：瓜洲镇举行了“让党旗高高飘扬”的红歌比赛，头桥镇举办了争先创优的党课活动，蒋王举行了“与文明携手，建和谐蒋王”的民日活动，沙头镇开辟“和谐之窗：，搭建和谐沙头，关注民生新平台……”等很多活动。这种种的活动都表现了扬州在不断的发展，不断的向“文明城”靠近。

在创建“文明城”时，我们该做些什么呢?要做到：不乱抛杂物，排队候车，要有热心、有爱心，不出入未成年人不该出入的地方，不抽烟、喝酒……我们要做到的不仅仅只有这些，道德礼仪也很重要。
