今天下午第一节下课后，我们学校举行了庆元旦运动会。会上的比赛有跳远、垒球、投篮、个人跳绳、集体跳绳和接力赛。我是参加接力赛的，这是运动会的最后一项比赛，我早已等不及了。
过了很久，接力赛终于开始了。比赛先从一年级开始。哨声一响，球场一片呐喊声，校园变得非常热闹。等着等着，终于轮到三年级了。我的心开始紧张了。
哨子一响，同学们马上向对面的女同学跑去，把接力棒交给女孩子。一个轮一个，终于轮到我了。可惜，从对面跑来的女孩接棒的时候掉了棒，使我们班比别的班慢了好多。当时，我急坏了。当她把接力棒交给我的时候，我就奋力地向前跑，什么都不想了，心里只有一个念头：尽我的力量追上其他班的同学。可惜，我始终追不上其他班的同学，由于跟其他班的同学距离拉得很远，我感到很失望。比赛结束了，我们班输了。但是，我不会灰心，下一次比赛我们一定要夺回冠军。

不但台上的演员们努力地施展着自己的才华，将自己光鲜的一面展现给我们，台下的观众们也是认真地观看着，奋力地拍着手，情不自禁地赞叹着。他们发自内心的赞叹是演员们最好的礼物。
本次元旦晚会举行得很成功，为二零零九年湖州四中的故事画下了一个圆满的句号。但同时，也可以把这个圆圆的句号填满，复制为六个，成了一个意犹未尽的省略号。因为湖州四中的二零一零年是一张全新的白纸，白纸上那美丽的图画、缤纷的文字需要我们自己描绘、谱写，未来是充满希望与光明的。
