Mr. Lee is my English teacher, and is thirty. He likes sports very much, so he looks strong and young. He is fond of singing too. When we feel tired in the class, he will teach us some English songs. Sometimes he tells us some funny stories. He often encourages us to speak and write in English. Although we may make mistakes now and then, he always corrects them patiently and tells us how to write properly. He is really a good teacher. We all love him and his class.

It is quite usual that one meets failures, for ones life can never be

plain sailing. However, different people hold different attitudes towards

failure. Some people think it a heavy blow to fail in achieving something and

they can not endure failure. When they meet failure, they will be seriously

dejected and can never pluck up their courage to try again.

Today is December 24, is a traditional day to sweep the dust. Home for cleaning, of course, for me, I will act with my father and mother, and do a lot of work.

Most of the work is done before, today the most main is to rub the lamp. I help my father moved to the ladder, the ladder is quite heavy, still stand in the corner, I had a lot of strength to move it out, this want to stand up to wipe, tried out of reach, is still a little afraid. 今天是腊月二十四，是传统的扫尘的日子。这天，自然，家里要进行大扫除了，我呢，也就和爸爸妈妈一起行动，干了不少的活儿。

大部分活儿之前都干完了，今天最主要的就是擦灯。我帮爸爸搬来梯子，梯子挺沉，还立在角落里，我费了好多劲儿才把它挪出来，本想自己站上去擦，试了试够不着，还有点害怕。结果就还是爸爸在上面掸尘，摘灯罩，我在下面接着。顺便再清洗抹布，再把它们传给爸爸。

灯罩可真脏啊!我拿着抹布对着灯罩刮来刮去，将原来一摸一手泥的灯罩，擦得崭新透亮。我自认餐厅的灯擦得最好了。原来，这盏土耳其语上面全是污泥，每次开灯，都觉得很暗。但是，在我用了‘威猛先生’擦过之后，原来脏兮兮的灯罩立马变了一个样，开开灯马上就觉得亮了几分。

在擦灯的过程中，我还见缝插针地顺便清洁了一下洗手池，白白的，干净地能映出我的笑脸了。

最后我还帮妈妈擦了踢脚线，因为妈妈这几天腰疼，不能弯腰了。妈妈告诉我擦踢脚的立面和上面的楞儿。在擦阳台踢脚线时，我擦下来一堆渣子，有墙皮，有石粒，还有灰尘毛毛，平时不起眼儿的小地方，想不到会这么的脏。干活儿也不容易。

虽然今天很累，但是面对亮亮的灯照得明亮的家，洁净的洗手池和干净的踢脚线，我很高兴，很有成就感!爸爸妈妈也夸我真是很能干!
