The last factor that has made our age so uncomfortable is the abusive use of technology. Although it brings much convenience, it essentially changes human – we are no longer the master of tools, but instead the slaves of devices. We rush to metro station in order to catch an early train, sit in front of radioactive computers all day long in order to get our work done, and stay in air-conditioned rooms all summer without experiencing the natural changes outside thick cement walls. Several decades ago, people could still live closer to nature and make rational use of modern technology, which to me is the essence of human living experience.

However, the comparison between different times is itself ridiculous. The criteria could not be easily determined, and opinions are highly personal. Anyway, we have a longer life span, more advanced medical facilities, and easier traffic than our grandparent when they were children, and we should treasure the present experience. Most mornings, Id sit by the Lake in my neighborhood just to witness the awesomeness of God; to be marveled at what Mother Nature is about to unfold... to shower us with her magnificence. The squirrels too gather by the edge of the Lake. The birds float effortlessly, circling the Lake in a beautiful ballet. The gators stand in awe. Yes, the gators! The leaves on the trees would suddenly stop their slow dance. Just like me, they are patiently awaiting for the grand entrance of the sun. The moon must go. Yes, the moon must go... to make room for the sun to rise. The sound of the gentle breeze is soothing, almost musical. I am filled with joy. I cannot describe the feeling of this awesomeness. Youd have to experience it to understand the feeling and joy of it. I know I am about to witness an amazing grace. So... I am silent. My spirit is at peace. The stage has been set. Behind those clouds, the sun awaits... waiting for the heavenly command. The ritual is in full bloom. Then I see a slice of sunlight, wafting through the clouds. Suddenly, the entire horizon is brightened, and the sun finally takes the center stage. Right there, I am still... humbled... to listen to God speak into my soul. When Hes done, then, I share with Him all that my heart desires.

After entering college, we found, to our surprise, that differences between high school life and college life are great. In high school, we always depended on our parents and teachers to solve all kinds of difficult problems. At college, however, we have to rely exclusively on ourselves. Whats more, we have to learn how to get along with our classmates and roommates.

Four years at college is an important yet very short period of time in our life. So it is always expected that we adapt to this life as quickly as possible. But it is a pity that not everyone can do so immediately. Here are some suggestions.

First, get familiar with the main buildings on the campus. Spend one or two hours by yourself or with your classmates to go around the campus so that you can know the location of such important places as the library, the dining room, the post office, the clinic and classrooms. Next, try to be independent. Learn to do such things as making sound decisions on how to spend your time, how to spend your money etc, and washing clothes on your own. Furthermore, form good study habits. Talk with your classmates and learn from their good habits. Finally, try to take part in all kinds of activities to get out of your solitude and get on well with your classmates.

放了暑假之后，我和妹妹打算出去体验生活，开始我们不知道该从何处开始，就问了一下妈妈和阿姨，她们说让我们去卖衣服，我觉得挺好，于是就和妹妹一起去卖衣服。

有了目标之后，但是要从哪里卖呢?这又成了一大难题，得找个人多的地方，这样卖衣服才能有趣，可是我们找了很多地方，但没有一个能让我们满意的，于是我们感到很沮丧，阿姨说：“万事都不能着急，要一点一点来，你们这是第一次出来体验生活，千万不能着急，没有卖的也没有关系，咱们又不是出来赚钱，是为了出来体验一下赚钱的艰辛，同时也出来找点乐趣，我和妹妹听了之后，心情便好很多了，于是我们便静下心来，准备一步一个脚印来走。

第一天，我和妹妹我们两个一共卖了三件衣服，我们感到很高兴，赚了大约30块钱，还不错，第一天就有这样的成果，我们很心满意足了。但是，到了第二天，情况就不是这么好了，我们在那里呆了两个小时，没有卖出去一件衣服，我们有点着急了，妈妈提醒我：”不要慌，慢慢来，一定会卖出去的!“过了半个小时，终于有一个来看衣服的了，他问我多少钱，我说：”65元!“她说太贵了，50吧!”我有些傻眼了，不知道该如何去说，这时阿姨来了，对那个人说：“50不行，最少55元，再低了我们就不卖了!”那个人说：“好吧!”看来我的语言表达能力还是稍微欠点，继续努力吧!

往后的几天，我改变我之前的卖法，果然比以往卖的多点，我很开心，又过了三天，我们所赚的钱已经超过150元，我与妹妹把这些钱平分了，一人75元。

通过在外面体验生活，我这才明白赚钱是一件多么辛苦的事，我以后一定要节约花钱。

With time goes by， it becomes a bit hard for me to remember everything about myself at the first day of my college life。 However， there was one thing for sure that I did feel quite excited and curious about my university。 There is no doubt that students like me have struggled for a long time so that can be permitted to enter the university。
