破坏环境的现象随处可见，就拿我们湘乡来说吧，我们湘乡的建材市场路旁时刻可以看见挂着的衣服，几条通道里到处散放着一堆堆掺杂着煤球、烂菜叶和快餐盒等废弃物品;水果市场随时随地都得注意地面，见到烂了的水果，商家熟练的往外一扔，来往的行人一不小心就会踩到“地雷”;农贸市场更是不得了，到处垃圾遍地，多得简直让人迈不开步，许多卖菜的一边吆喝，一边把一些烂得不成样的蔬菜随手扔在路旁，原本脏兮兮的地面更是臭不可闻。汽车大量排放的尾气与随地焚烧的垃圾，使空气大量污染;在道路两旁垃圾随处可见，严重影响了城市美观……

这一个个细节体现了城市公民的品德，这种.种现象表明了人们根本没有保护环境的意识，政府以及其它部门都只是把保护环境挂在嘴边，真正去行动的又有多少人呢?我们湘乡还只是小城市，这些还算是小破坏，大城市的破坏就更大了。所以大家一定要有保护环境的意识，要为我们的子孙后代着想。有人说，我虽然捡了垃圾，但别人仍在不断丢，岂不是白做了。大家千万不要有这样的想法，一个小小的捡垃圾行为，就可以减少多少的垃圾，就可以让一座城市都变得精神焕发，也给所有的市民都传递了正能量和新面貌，“保护环境，从我做起!”
