On the other hand, there are not only specific individual responsibilities in diverse areas but also some fundamental values and accountabilities, which we all human beings cherish. From the moment one can speak or even is born, the society begins to instill the moral and ethical standards, which is so called humanity in every one‘s mind. The older one is, the deeper influence the humanity would be. When one is just a little child, he would go directly to what he like and claim it. Then when he is old enough, he would realize that it is incorrect and ashamed. And because of the awareness of what is right and wrong, one would probably never do any misdeed again. Actually, humanity is just the common individual responsibility shared by all of us.

There are still many problems of environmental protection in recent years. One of the most serious problems is the serious pollution of air, water and soil. the polluted air does great harm to people’s health. The polluted water causes diseases and death. What is more, vegetation had been greatly reduced with the rapid growth of modern cities.

To protect the environment, governments of many countries have done a lot. Jacques Cousteau decided to tell people how important it was to save the environment under the sea. He started the“ Cousteau Society ” to help protect life in the sea. There are still a few people who are not protecting the water now in the world. For example, some factories pour waste things into the rivers, lakes or into the sea near by. The water there has become very dirty and we can’t use them at all. Although there are seventy–five per sent of water in the world, we can only use fresh water, that there is only a little. So we should use little water when we need to use it. For example, I do not use too much water when I am washing my face or having a bath… It is important for us to keep the water clean. You may ask yourself, have I ever poured or thrown dirty things into the water? If your answer is “No”, that means you have already helped to protect the environment. It is our duty to protect the environment. You may ask yourself again, have I ever helped to clean up the water? If your answer is “Yes”, that means that you have already done something useful to improve the water. If we use up all the water, it is difficult for us to get it from anywhere, including the universe. It is terrible to think that people are too thirsty to live! I believe, that if everyone helps to protect the water, the water must be protected. You do not want to “kill” your son or your grandson, do you? So now let us to protect the water! Please don’t let the last drop of water on the earth is we human’s tear!

Trees are very useful to people. They provide us with wood and other

products. They give us shade and they help to prevent drought and floods.

Unfortunately， in many parts of our country， people havent realized the

importance of trees. They cut them down at will. They are usually too lazy or

too careless to plant and look after new trees. As a result， the forests

continue to disappear.

Where there are no trees the rain falls on the surface， causing floods， and

carries away with the rich topsoil， in which crops grow so well. When all the

topsoil is gone， nothing remains but worthless deserted.

The big floods of 1998， in parts of China， have already taught us a good

lesson. So every one of us must love trees， protect forests， and keep on

planting trees each year.

接下来让我先给你们说一说水污染危机吧!20__年1月，广西好江河水资源突发严重镉污染，该事件水中的镉含量约20吨，污染波及河段达300公里，引发当地居民饮用水安全的危机。20__年__月，云南曲靖陆良化工实业有限公司5222.38吨工业废料铬渣非法倾倒导致污染，倾倒地附近农村77头牲畜死亡。水是生命之源，万物之本。没有水我们的生命就无法生存，万物就无法生长。所以，我们一定要保护水资源，让地球上的水更清。

下面我再给你们说一说矿藏资源的危机吧。2003年对于中国的矿业企业来说，是不堪回首的一年。电荒、煤荒、油荒……从来没有像现在这样让每一个中国人感到痛彻心骨。而更多不可再生资源的全面告急，更让那些与其密切相关的人们坐立不安。去年12月，一份送往国务院的名为《矿产资源与中国经济发展》(社会版)的报告，在社会各界引起强大反响。

“该报告推翻了以往各机构关于中国近30年对石油、天然气、铁、铜等主要矿产的供需缺口预测，第一次以触目惊心的数据，彻底颠覆了‘中国地大物博’的理念。”报告以大量的事实证明，“除煤之外，我国主要的矿产资源都已告急”——中国油气资源的现有储量将不足10年消费，最终可采储量勉强可维持30年消费;到20__年，中国石油的进口量将超过5亿吨，天然气将超过1000亿立方米，两者的对外依存度分别将达70%和50%。人们啊醒醒吧!当你看到这些触目惊心的数据后，你又有何感想呢?如果你是一个有头脑的人，就一定会知道保护环境已迫在眉睫，珍惜资源要从我做起，从今天做起，从身边的小事做起。只要我们人人认真学习环保知识，努力做到珍稀资源保护地球，那么我坚信我们的地球明天一定会更美。
