I could not catch up with my classmates, I felt so worried. So I decided to keep

studying every night. After finishing dinner, I went to my bedroom and did my

subjects. Though I was very tired, I still keptstudying until midnight. But it

did not work, I did not made progress. I talked to my teacher, she told me to

will die. We can use water for flowers, swimming, washing and many different

两位旅人走在沙漠上，他们有足够的水和干粮。在沙漠中他们走了三天三夜，第三个晚上，他们在一个绿洲中歇脚，三天的劳累足以把人击倒，但其中一位在清理自己的装备，另一位则倒头就睡。次日他们再次启程了，根据土人介绍，前方已经少有绿洲，他们决定走到沙漠的尽头在做歇息。几天过去了，两个人同时倒在沙子上，劳累真正将人击倒，那位清理装备的人依旧清理，但另外一人却睡不着，因为他的鞋子中有沙子，经过几天的跋涉，脚上已长满水泡，有些浮肿，疼痛无比。这时，他在朦胧中看见了上帝，上帝微笑着对他说：孩子，让你疲倦的不是远方的高耸的山峰，而是你鞋子中的一粒沙子啊！说完飘然而逝。

牛顿是经典力学的创始人，他的功绩在历史上是永远不是湮灭的，但他的鞋子中有一颗沙子，他在提出了三大力学定律后，花了将近几十年的时间去证明上帝的存在；大物理学家戴维的鞋子中也有一颗沙子，当法拉第电磁学的创始人，被提名成为皇家学会的会员时，所有皇家学会的人都通过，唯有皇家学会的主席，法拉第的老师戴维不同意，为什么呢？戴维考虑到：如果自己的学生提名成功后，很快会取代自己，他当然不愿意，。但一票的反对不足以影响法拉第的提名，但却让戴维留给后世一个笑柄。由此可见，嫉妒产生的危害有多大是不言而喻的，鞋子中的沙子对以一个人有多大的危害，它不但会影响你的声誉，甚至会影响你的人生。所以学习第一个旅人吧！倒出鞋子中的沙子，让自己的人生更加完美。

When memory began for me, my grandfather was past sixty-a great tall man

with thick hair becoming gray. He had black eyes and a straight nose which ended

in a slightly flattened tip. Once he explained seriously to me that he got that

flattened tip as a small child when he fell down and stepped on his nose.

The little marks of laughter at the corners of his eyes were the prodnct of

a kindly and humorous nature. The years of work which had bent his shoulders had

never dulled his humour nor his love of a joke.

Everywhere he went, "Gramp" made friends easily. At the end of half an hour

you felt you had known him all your life. I soon learned that he hated to give

orders , but that when he had to, he tried to make his orders sound like

suggestions.

One July morning, as he was leaving to go to the cornfield, he said :

"Edwin, you can pick up the potatoes in the field today if you want to do that.

" Then he drove away with his horses.

The day passed, and I did not have any desire to pick up potatoes. Evening

came and the potatoes were still in the field. Gramp, dusty and tired, led the

horses to get their drink.

"How many bags of potatoes were there?" Gramp inquired. "I dont know.

"

"How many potatoes did you pick up?"

"I didnt pick any. " "Not any! Why not?"

"You said I could pick, them up if I wanted to. You didnt say I had to.

"

In the next few minutes I learned a lesson I would not forget: when Gramp

said I could if I wanted to, he meant that I should want to.

Gram hated cruelty and injustice. The injustices of history, even those of

a thousand years before, angered her as much as the injustices of her own

day.

She also had a deep love of beauty. When she was almost seventy-five, and

had gone to live with one of her daughters, she spent a delightful morning

washing dishes because, as she said, the beautiful patterns on the dishes gave

her pleasure. The bird, the flowers, the clouds-all that was beautiful around

her- pleased her. She was like the father of the French painter, Millet, who

used to gather grass and show it to his son , saying , "See how beautif ul this

is ! "

In a pioneer society it is the harder qualities of mind and character that

are of value. The softer virtues are considered unnecessary. Men and women

struggling daily to earn a living are unable, even for a moment, to forget the

business of preserving their lives. Only unusual people, like my grandparents,

manage to keep the softer qualities in a world of daily struggle.

Such were the two people with whom I spent the months from June to

September in the wonderful days of summer and youth.

My schoool life is busy and fantastic。 First， we have four classes in the morning and three in the afternoon。 We have to get to school before 7：30 because we have a morning class。 Second， I like my school life because teachers and my classmates are friendly and helpful。 We also have lots of after—school activies。 Third， our school environment is very beautiful， the teachers all can make their lesson interesting and instructive。 So I like my school life very much。

诚信是中华民族一种传统美德。诚信是一种无价之宝。它能化解寒冬中的一堵冰川，就像是夏日火辣辣的万股光芒；诚信也是双方交往的基础，更是人与人之间最美的语言。

那一刻，我懂得了信任是何物，更明白信任的重要。

那一件事由始至终还清晰地印在我的脑海里，历历在目。冬日里初阳冉冉升起，灿烂的光芒把我一下子惊醒，我手忙脚乱地收拾好一切东西，就从容不迫地去买早点。回到家门前时看到门两旁的两盆向日葵，在阳光的照耀下显得十分美丽，使人一目了然。忽然，一个骑着自行车的叔叔像飞闪而过的流星似的从我身旁擦肩而过。一个精致的钱包随地而落，我赶紧三步并作两步地冲上前，以手疾眼快的速度捡起钱包，大声地向那位叔叔呼唤。可惜他已经像一只离玄的箭似的早已无影无踪了。望着那钱包，我感到十分无奈。顿时，心里浮想联翩着：把它占为己有吧，现在又无人知晓；另一方却十分反对，老师说过做人要讲诚信，守信用……“对！”我对自己说。“我相信那位叔叔会还回来的，我就在这等他吧。”十五分钟过去，三十分钟过去，在这寂寞中只有手表在滴滴答答地响个不停。正当我准备气馁时，远处出现一个熟悉的身影，骑着自行车慢慢前行，好像在寻觅着什么。啊！皇天不负有心人，原来是那位叔叔。我健步如飞地跑到他面前，小心翼翼地递上钱包，低声细语中礼貌地说：“叔叔，这是你的钱包么？”那位叔叔抬头一看，喜出望外地说：“是的，谢谢你，小朋友，你真是一个诚实的孩子啊！”他刚说完，我的脸立刻变得红润起来，他也寒暄了几句。又赶忙骑上自行车投入辛勤的工作去了。从他的背影中，我明白人生中最宝贵的东西。

虽然这时的早点已经凉了，但是那一份热气腾腾的"早点"却在我心里留下永恒。在阳光的辉映下，那向日葵依然变得更加充满生机，活力四射。

没有了诚信就像花儿没有了雨露的滋润；就像汽车没有了方向盘，一切将会变得迷迷茫茫，无所适从。最宝贵的不是财富，而是做人的诚实守信。

Every year when the autumn comes, there will be a sports meeting in my school. I am so impressed by the opening ceremony. Every class will march on the ground and show their features, which is very funny. Last year, a group of students wore the co-splay dresses. When they showed up, they caught all people’s attention and won the biggest applause. It is a great event for every student, and also a good chance to let students develop their creativity. This year, my class decided to make a big surprise. Everyone has provided their idea and I love the atmosphere. I am so looking forward to the opening ceremony.
