（1）比利时马斯河谷事件：1930年12月，比利时马斯河谷工业区，排放的工业有害废气和粉尘对人体造成综合影响，一周内近60人死亡，市民中心脏病、肺病患者的死亡率增高，家畜死亡率也大大增高。

（2）美国洛杉矶烟雾事件：本世纪40年代美国洛杉矶的大量汽车废气在紫外线照射下产生的光化学烟雾，造成许多人眼睛红肿、咽炎、呼吸道疾病恶化乃至思维紊乱，肺水肿。

（3）美国多诺拉事件：1984年10月，美国宾西法尼亚洲多诺拉镇的二氧化硫及其氧化物，与大气粉尘结合，使大气产生严重污染，造成5911人暴病。

（4）英国伦敦烟雾事件：1952年12月5—8日，英国伦敦由于冬季燃煤引起的煤烟性烟雾，导致4天时间内4000多人死亡，两月后又有8000多人死亡。

（5）日本水俣病事件：1953年--1968年，日本熊本县水俣湾，由于人们食用了含汞污水污染的海湾中富集了汞和甲基汞的鱼虾和贝类及其他水生物，造成近万人的中枢神经疾病，其中甲基汞中毒患者283人中有60余人死亡。

（6）日本四日市废气事件：1961年，日本四日市由于石油冶炼和工业燃油产生的废气，严重污染大气，引起居民呼吸道疾病骤增，尤其是哮喘病的发病率大大提高，形成了一种突出的环境问题。

（7）日本的爱知糠油事件：1963年3月，在日本的爱知县一带，由于对生产米糠油的管理不善，造成多氯联苯污染物混入米糠油，人们食用了这种被污染的油之后，造成13000多人中毒，数十万只鸡死亡的严重污染事件。

（8）日本富山的痛痛病事件：1955年--1977年，生活在 日本富山的人们，因为饮用了含镉的河水和食用了含镉的大米，以及其他含镉事物引起痛痛病，就诊患者258人，其中死亡者达207人。

当然环境问题还不只这些，如乱伐森林、大量排放温室气体等等无一不是人类对自然界的无知而自掘坟墓。的确，环境问题每时每刻地困扰着整个世界。然而，这一幕幕悲剧又是谁一手导演的呢？是人类。当灾难再度落到了人类自己身上，大自然对人类无休止报复时，人类终于觉醒了，明白了环境保护的重要性。人类如果想征服自然，就必须尊重自然。对于改造自然理应慎之又慎，又要大刀阔斧，勇于实践和改良，才能控制自然，使自身利益与自然协调发展。

面对我国严峻的环境问题，我们绝不能重蹈西方发达国家“先污染，后治理”的覆辙。“先污染，后治理”是十分不明智的选择，其治理的代价很高。我们既要加速发展，摆脱环境问题对我国经济的制约，又要贯彻以防为主，防治结合的方针来保护环境。

“勿以善小而不为”，想必大家都明白。保护环境正是从点滴的小事做起，拾起一节被丢弃的电池、回收废品、拒绝使用超薄塑料袋等等，如果每个人都能够做到的话，世界的环境必大有改观。如果你已经做到了，这意味着你已经对保护环境做出了一定的贡献，如果你尚未做到，那么从今天开始坚持做下去，慢慢的，你就会发现，你所做的一切都产生了奇妙的效果。

小榕树下面有一片稀疏的草地，两只小鸡在上面欢快地散步，还“唧唧”地叫个不停。其中有走在前面的身材高大的是一只“小公鸡”，另一只走在它旁边的小巧玲珑的是“小母鸡”；小鸡的下半身是毛茸茸的白毛，上半身已经长出淡黄色的小羽毛，爪子和腿是黄色的，爪子的形状像竹叶一样。当小鸡从我身边走过时，我发现它的嘴又尖又长，眼睛又黑又亮，小公鸡头上的鸡冠像一面小火炬，也像一面旗帜，很神气；两只小鸡走在一起很亲切，而且形影不离；它们走到了一个拐弯处，初中一年级作文《捉小鸡作文》。小公鸡用一只爪子用力地在泥土里泡了两下，又用另一只爪子泡了三下，然后伸长脖子用尖嘴去啄泥土，它连续啄了三下后很神气的抬起了头，嘴里衔着一条蚯蚓，它怕母鸡跟它抢接着就飞快地跑走了，小母鸡看见了，就在后面紧追不舍，最后它只抢到了一小口食物。又过了一会儿两只小鸡又走到一起了，它们昂着脖子东瞅瞅，西瞅瞅，迈着轻快的步子向前走去。

天快黑了，我要回家了，可爱的小鸡，你们的家在哪里？你们有主人吗？明天我还来看你们，你们还在吗？

洗车，听起来满有趣的，一试果然不同凡响。

爸爸把车开进了院子里，看见原先银色的车，现在已成了灰色，想想前几天下雨，坐的人又多，自然就脏了。

我不由自主的拿起皮管，把车彻彻底底的冲洗了一遍，可车身还是灰的。显然，没什么用，于是就跑上楼去拿了小半盆洗洁精和玻璃刷卷起袖子，在抹布上涂上洗洁精，就开始擦了，从车头到车尾不放过一点灰尘，可奇怪的现象发生了，才擦干净的地方又脏了。爸爸把我叫过去，说:"慧慧你怎么擦的?这儿还脏的。"自己一时说不出话来就用指甲去刮，这才干净了些，仔细一看原来是糖之类的东西。车上的灰尘在一点一点的洗去，我的力气也在一点一点的用尽，正脸车都沐浴在泡沫中，就像一个顽皮的小孩，在洗澡时全身都是泡泡，我拿起皮管往上喷水，那调皮的泡泡终于被赶跑了。一看轮胎还是脏兮兮的一大圈，那张哭丧的脸仿佛在向我倾诉:"怎么把我给忘了?"于是我就走上前去把他一点点的洗干净，一格也不放过，筋疲力尽的我坚持把其他三个也洗干净。接着就拿来玻璃刷把玻璃洗的如明镜一般没有一个污点，正在此时天空中飘飘然的下起了雪，自己洗的车又要变脏了

外面擦不成就擦车内，地上的污水已经成了一个水坑，就拿起抹布放在地上吸水经过二三次的循环终于干了，里面被我擦的干干净净，地毯也被拉出外面冲洗。

苦中有甜，其实洗车是件快乐事儿。

Changes in My Hometown

Great changes have taken place in my hometown these years. There used to be old and low houses on the streets,but now you can see people live and work in tall buildings. In the past, you could always see rubbish everywhere. But now the environment is clean and tidy. Many trees are planted on both sides of the street, so the air is very fresh.There were not any buses in my hometown, so most of us used to walk to work or go to school by bike.However, life is much better now. Many people buy their own cars, so they go out by car.
