I, the undersigned, am a senior in Peking University. The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games is coming in four years. After watching the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, I can not help writing to you.

First of all, here is my suggestion for the preparation work of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The construction work of the sports building must be completed in time according to the contract. In Athens, the swimming stadium was not accomplished in time so that the event had to be held in the open air, which has brought negative effect on the performance of athletes. In the second place, I have a good command of foreign languages. I can speak English, Russian, and Japanese. Therefore I can be a qualified volunteer.

I noticed an ad. In the paper today you said you were looking for people to join your expedition team. It sounded as if it might be fun so Im writing to say Id like to come along.

About myself: I left school at 16 because I wanted to earn a bit of money. After that I got a few part-time jobs as a waiter, etc. But I didnt stick to any of them for long. Recently Ive been doing a bit of hitch-hiking round Europe so Ive had some experience of traveling the hard way which should come in handy on the expedition youre planning. By the way, Im a great guitarist so I can keep you all amused round the campfire at night.

With the harsh competition in todays society, more and more people

complain about their stress in their daily life. Stress mainly comes from our

work, study and families. When we feel stressed, we often have bad moods on the

day and cant sleep well at night. Thats too bad for our health. To help ease

stress, some good ways are suggested. Firstly, we can chat with our parents and

friends. Maybe they can give us some good advice. Secondly, we ought to do some

Music is part of our life, nearly everybody will listen to the music, no

matter what nation they are from. Music is divided into many types, such as the

blues, the country music, the rock and roll. Once blues belonged to the black

people, but as time went by, music is accepted by all classes. People always

share the hottest songs together, just like they can communicate. Once in the

foreign country, I had dinner in a restaurant, where there had the singers.

the longing summer vacation is approaching, it is the best part of the school year for me. i cannot let the holidays elapse (逝去) meaninglessly, my vacation should be a phase (时期、阶段) of harvest. the events in my plan should give me a sense of infinite potential.
