Ive been happily drifting for a lot of years, Dad, and I didnt see you getting older.

I suppose I saw us and our relationship as aging together, rather like a fine wine. Numbers never seemed important. But the oddest thing happened last week. I was at a stop sign and I watched as you turned the corner in your car. It didnt immediately occur to me that it was you because the man driving looked so elderly and fragile behind the wheel of that huge car. It was rather like a slap in the face delivered from out of nowhere. Perhaps I saw your age for the first time that day. Or maybe I saw my own.

Somewhere along the line, the generation gap evaporated. Age separates us now and little else. We agree on most everything, perhaps because weve learned there isnt much worth disagreeing about. However, I would like to mention that fly fishing isnt all youve cracked it up to be, Dad. You can say what you want about wrist action and stance and blah, blah, blah...

We are living in a society where people help each other in many ways. Not only does helping good for people, it is also good for our society.

Helping each other does good for people in different ways. Nobody can survive or live a better life without having other peoples help in our society. On the other hand, helping each other can help the progress of our society. Human labour is a good example.

Last but not least, helping each other does good for people and the society where they are living in!

父亲在我们的记忆中好像是那么的陌生，但听起来又是那样的亲切，仿佛给人一种温暖的感觉。在你寂寞时，他会给你一丝温暖的春风，你就会给他整个春天。在你烦恼时，她会送你一声轻轻的问候，你就会感激她一生。

"父爱是山，母爱是海"。这句话一点儿也没错。母亲对我们的爱像大海一样宽阔，对我们无微不至;而那伟大的父亲对我们的爱却像山一样高大，虽然他不善于表达，但他却却很伟大。

父亲对孩子的爱大多是严厉的，不善于表达的，像我的父亲一样。

认识我的人都知道，我的父亲每天都让我抄一篇作文，写一篇日记。虽然从表面上看是十分严厉，但它实际上也是对我们的一种爱。

一开始，我十分的讨厌父亲这种做法，但后来我知道了那也是父亲对我的一种爱。

虽然这样但他每个星期六都会给我买一本书对我用的书，无论星期六下多大雨，刮多大的风，爸爸都会为我买书，让我增长了不少课外知识。现在我一共有十本作文书，两本故事书，2010年到2011年的读读写写和我们爱科学、小学生学习报、中国少年文摘、一本成语故事书等。

纵使是丹青高手，也难以勾勒出父亲您那坚挺的脊梁：即使是文学泰斗，也难以刻画尽父亲您那不屈的精神;即使是海纳百川，也难以包罗尽父亲您对儿女的关爱!我爱你，我伟大的父亲。
