Thanks for your letter which finally caught up with me in London. I suppose youre keen to hear how the trip has been so far. So heres a short description of whats happened.

Well, you remember we left Sydney on Monday and arrived in London 24 hours later. After such a long and exhausting flight the first thing we did was to have a good, long sleep. And after that?a good meal to make up for all that horrible airline stuff!

The first real day of our holiday was spent just walking around London to get a feel of the place. After that, however, we were more particular and planned each day carefully.

First, we looked at all the historical sights, such as the Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament, the British Museum and the National Gallery. Then we visited some other famous places, such as Kew Gardens and Hampstead Heath. Finally, we took a one-day trip to Oxford, which is really the most marvelous town. You should make sure to go there when you visit England.

After we had seen a lot of London, we flew to Paris. A t first, we didnt like the place-I suppose because it was so different from London. Later, though, we began to really love it and started to appreciate its differentness.

The final stage of our trip is a visit to Rome, after which we will be staying in Singapore for two days before returning to Australia.

进入小学的校门，我最害怕的科目非作文莫属。每次老师布置好作文题目，我不是上网搜索一篇来修改;就是翻开作文书乱抄一气;不然就是干巴巴地写上十行八行……您看在眼里，急在心中，摇摇头说：“作文要用生动有趣的语言来表达真情实感，哪能应付了事?”这不是在揭我的伤疤吗?不知怎么回事，我心中的无名火一下子从心底窜出，对着您吼上一句：“要你管，一天到晚啰嗦不停。”妈妈惊讶地看了我一眼，问：“你怎么啦?”我不管不顾地说：“以后不要再管我啦。”您没有生气，默默地看了我一眼，什么话也没有说，转身走进厨房忙碌起来。

其实，话刚出口，我就后悔了，心里七上八下地想：你肯定生气啦，糟了，待会吃饭时，你要是不叫我，是不是要自己拿碗盛饭呢?

正在胡思乱想的时候，您亲切地喊了一句：“儿子，快来吃饭。”您的语气和平日里没有两样，好像已经把刚才我对您的不礼貌抛到九霄云外。我红着脸，有一口没一口地扒拉着饭，心想：唉，真不应该，把尊重长辈的礼仪丢到脑后。想到这里，我小声地说：“对不起，写好作文是为了帮我提高成绩，我不该对您大声说话。”您摸摸我的脑袋，说：“妈妈只会记得孩子的好。不好的会全部忘掉啦。”听到这句话，我真想挖个洞钻进去呀。

后来，您利用暑假时间，送我去上作文补习班。盛夏的阳光真毒呀，坐在自行车后架上，我瞧见豆大的汗水顺着您的脖子往下滴，听见您急促的喘气声……

现在，我的作文水平早已突飞猛进，还获得好几张市级奖状呢。望着那些奖状，我时常这样想：没有你的无私付出，也就没有我的茁壮成长。

delicious, in Beijing, I got a kind of food called sugar-coated berry,

亲爱的爸爸、妈妈：

你们好吗?

女儿长这么大，好像从未正式地给你们写过二封信，真的感到很惭愧，现在终于有机会向你们表达心声。乍来“蓝天”,思家的感觉愈发强烈，毕竟以前从未经历一个人的生活，衣食住行也全都由你们打点，现在的我开始学着该做的一切。

记得踏上列车时，我的感情是非常复杂的，既有上大学的喜悦，离家的不舍，又有对新生活的向往，对另一座城市的羡慕，也期待着独立生活的开始。每天，我都面对乱糟糟的床铺，脏乱的衣物，还有被我们折腾了一天的寝室。终于明白，为什么妈妈您总是唠叨我不要乱放东西，不要总换衣服……真的是经历了才知道其中的辛酸与不易啊!以前在家，你们总说学习第一，让我只要把成绩搞上去了，其他的什么都不要我管，就连扫扫地这么小的事，我都没怎么干过，现在想想，我真是太不懂事了，总是让你们费心操劳。

对于高考的失利，我想这对你们来说是一次不小的打击。因为在你们的眼中，女儿一直都是好样的，学习也一直很努力，很用功，很少让你们失望，但唯独这一次，却在这么关键的时候……自从高考成绩下来之后，我一直没能和你们好好地谈谈，或许我们都不太愿意提及这令人伤心的一幕吧。是啊，毕竟都过去了，人总是要向前看的嘛!感谢你们把我送进了“蓝天”,这里的一切都是那么的美好，学习气氛也很浓厚，师资队伍也很优秀，让我又一次燃起了对未来幸福生活的向往。我会汲取以前的经验教训，在这边好好学习，不再荒废自己的学业，毕竟这也是最后一次可以直击梦想的地方了。?

第一次真正眺望自己的人生，第一次开始认真规划以后的路途。或许我真的长大了，通过军训，也让我对某些事的看法有了一次质的飞跃，在大学里，不光要把自己的学习抓紧，更是要培养其他方面的才能，注重团队合作精神，多发掘自己的兴趣爱好，这样才能更好地适应今后社会的发展。虽然军训是苦了点，但这点小痛小累又算得了什么呢?比起你们的日夜操劳，起早贪黑，我真的没有资格在这里叫苦叫累，在这里，我要诚恳地向你们说一声：爸妈，辛苦了丨当你们送我走的那一天，我突然发现，你们真的老了，岁月在你们的脸上留下了无情的印记，那一刻一种辛酸油然而生，望着你们渐去的背影，我再也控制不住泪水的滑落，是感激的泪，是惭愧的泪。女儿长大了，真的长大了，会在这里好好努力，不仅是为了自己，更是为了你们，相信不久的将来，你们也会像其他的老人样，坐享清福!

还有妈妈，您总是关节疼，天阴雨湿时一定要多加保护，也别大事小事的总操心，一切顺其自’然嘛，心情舒畅才能万事顺心呀!再就是爸爸您了，总爱喝点小酒，妈妈总说您爱酒如命。喝点没什么，但别喝太多，少则益身，多则伤身呀!毕竟不是年轻的时候了，一切以身体为重!
