I am highly disappointed in the proposed 2004-05 budget cuts to educa1ion. Taking away basic aid status and slashing our school budgets is a recipe for educational disaster in our school. The future lies with our children. They must have access to high quality educa1ion.

My husband and I have worked hard to be able to live in a school district that provides high quality education for our children. Cutting funding in districts like ours will have a negative impact on property values.

The school that my daughter attends is hardly wha1 I would describe as a "rich" school. Parents are asked to pay for books for all the classes, science supplies and for their students to participate in the performing arts among other items. If our school is to remain a world leader in technological development, cutting our school funds is the worst possible choice to make.

这么多年，您只有一个爱好没变，那就是把你的头发洗得乌黑又香气扑鼻。你十分爱你的头发，把它当成灵魂的一部分。我曾有幸见到过您年轻时候的照片。那时候，您不过18岁，穿着鹅黄色的短裙，白色的衬衫，半捂着脸轻笑。您及腰的黑发，如瀑布般宣泄下来，肆意炫耀着青春靓丽。我不禁感叹，噢，妈妈，您年轻的时候，原来这么美啊!在那之后，我对您那黑头发的记忆，就是在五岁了。五岁时，我刚刚记事，我还记得，放学之后，你总是带我去公园走一圈，呼吸新鲜的空气，抚弄青翠的小草，欣赏杨柳，亲近小河，让我在诗意的环境成长。您总是将乌黑的长发高高束起，让它们在你的走动之下轻盈地飘动;10岁那年，我得了疱疹，夜里辗转反侧，疼得睡不着觉，你总让我抓着你好闻的头发，闻着上面妈妈的味道，安然入睡。

11岁那年，我正是叛逆期，开始变得不听话，我与你吵架，与老师顶嘴，和同学打架……老师不停地向你告状，你打我、骂我、与我好好沟通，我都不听，依然我行我素。你气哭了，躺在床上，躲在被里，一天不吃不喝。我高傲得像是个胜利者，丝毫没有关心你。大概你心寒了，面无表情地从床上爬起来，走出了门外。等你回家时，我才看到----你的黑头发已经不见了，你把你蓄了15年的长发剪下去了。我流下了眼泪，妈妈，我让您伤了心，您剪下了自己的头发，割掉了灵魂的一部分，你的心该是多么痛啊!妈妈，请原谅我，我不该这么对你，我不该惹你生气!从那以后，我不再叛逆，一夜之间长大了许多。

现在，我上初中了，可您的头发还是没有长到腰部，只是略略多于肩。岁月催人老，家庭的奔波，对我的操心，使得你过早的衰老，才刚刚40岁，脸上就布满了岁月的痕迹，头发也变白了。我多么后悔，我没能好好珍惜你黑头发的岁月，我只能尽力地用成绩回报你，我想出人头地，我想给你个未来。每当你去开家长会，你脸上的红光让我都觉得开心，因为我是班里成绩最好的孩子。每到了放学点，校门口站满了接送孩子的家长，你并不是其中最美的，也不是其中最光鲜靓丽的，但是，你是我最重要的人，你是我心中最好的妈妈。有时候你也自卑，对我倾诉着，总觉得和你生活委屈了我。可是妈妈，我从来没有埋怨过你，嫌弃过你，反而，我觉得我们生活是那么的快乐，引用你的话就是，连生活都充满希望了呢。我依然喜欢拨弄你的头发，找出其中的白发，帮你取下来。妈妈，我想感谢你，谢谢你对我的付出，对我的爱，我永远不会忘记你对我的好，永远不会忘记你的黑头发。妈妈，我是一个风筝，你的手里始终握着我的线，无论我飞得多高多远，只要你轻轻拉动风筝的线，我都会奔赴到你的身旁，依偎在你的怀里，闻着你的秀发。我当然还记得那感觉，那年我10岁。 祝：身体健康，万事如意!

Thanksgiving Day is very popular in western country, on that day, people will

make a big turkey to eat. The day is to in honor of Indian people’s great

kindness. A long time ago, some puritans took the boat May Flower to Americafor

freedom, but they suffered from starvation and illness, the Indian people helped

them, gave them food and treat them. The puritan planted something, they were

eager to have good harvest, at last, they got it and felt very grateful to God

and the Indian people, so they decided to make a day to remember this and show

gratitude.

感恩节就要来了，在十一月的第四个星期天。感恩节在西方很流行，在那天，人们烤火鸡来吃。这个节日是为了纪念印第安人们的友好。很久以前，一些清教徒乘着“五月花”号船去美国寻求自由，但是他们遭遇饥饿和疾病，印第安人们帮助了他们，提供他们食物并治疗他们。清教徒播种，希望有好的丰收，最后，他们得到了好的丰收，很感激上帝和印第安人，所以他们决定定一个日子来记住这些并表示感谢。

对于回忆中那个似乎有些陌生的身影，总是有忙不完的工作要做。由于工作的缘故，伴我成长的时间远不如妈妈多。可我记忆中亦有慈爱而严厉的你——爸爸。工作中的你一丝不苟，深爱着自己的学生，往往是早上和晚上很难见到你，用妈妈的话说是两头不见人，饭点就回家来了。身为班主任的你，尽管没那么多的时间来陪我，但却是我最珍贵的记忆。暑假时我的最爱就是“罚”你背着我，抱着我······“一闪一闪亮晶晶，满天都是小星星”那首儿歌就是你教我唱的。也许是儿时“过分的溺爱”造成了今天活泼好动、有着男孩子性格的“野”丫头。爸爸总是让我多读书，多去做一些有益尝试，甚至我为了一探究竟，把刚买的沙发用刀子划破，掏出里边的海绵你也一笑置之。对于生活，你是一位不太善于表达的父亲，而对于我的学习，你则是一位严厉的老师。粗心、马虎大意、浮躁是我学习中的劲敌，几乎回回中招的我在一次考试后第一次被你呵斥，我的泪一滴滴的往下坠，心里有种说不出的难受。任性的我竟然用满不在乎的口气顶撞了你，一气之下，你真的第一次动手打了我!我一直呜咽着，不与你讲话。我不明白，你怎么舍得打我?等你情绪平静之后，你竟然到我的房间语气温和的跟我道歉，说明打我的原因，并且还问我痛不痛。其实本该是我去道歉的。内疚和自责一时塞满了我的心头。望着你因操劳已显斑白的头发，我的眼泪再次肆意的流出来。爸爸，请你原谅女儿的任性，我一定会不辜负你的教诲!

爸爸、妈妈，女儿已长大，再次衷心地说一声“谢谢”。正如孟郊的《游子吟》中说的“谁言寸草心，报得三春晖”。你们对我的付出，我将铭记于心，我会以实际行动来回报你们的爱。
