只有一半人在台下时，我始终不敢上去。我胡思乱想，万一火烧着了我的嘴怎么办?万一没有成功怎么办?

另外，我们经常在马路上的共享单车占据人行道，使得人无法通行的情况，原因其实在共享单车投放过多，并且没有正确停放。所以共享单车公司需要收回一部分共享单车来减轻马路负担。

考试时间转眼间就到了。老妈带我去考级地点。一路上，我的心随着路程的一点点逼近在一点点加快跳的速度。等到了那儿，我的手脚都不听使唤了，直发抖。老妈笑着对我说：“害怕啦!记住，你选择了勇气。”我看着老妈恬静的脸，我的心渐渐的平静下来了。我笑着对老妈说：“我是谁?我天不怕地不怕，怎么会怕这个!”

“刘子萍”随着一位老师的喊叫声，我来到了三楼考级教室，那位老师让我先坐下等等。

我坐在门外的椅子上，听着屋内的人弹的曲子，我越来越不安了。手上不断出冷汗，我有些想做一个胆小鬼了。“不能紧张，不能害怕，记住自己选择了勇气，冷静冷静。”我暗暗对自己说。

到我了，我微笑地向评委老师鞠了一躬，坐到椅子上，弹起了倒背如流的曲子。那琴声时高昂，时轻快，时缓慢，时沉重。一曲终，评委老师都鼓起了掌，我也松了口气。

选择勇气，就要用实力证明。我尝到了成功的果实!

With the development of technology, today, our life is facilitated with all kinds information sources. We can read books on the Internet, which is much convenient than buying the books in the stores. I like to read E-books, because there are many advantages. First, I can save a lot of money. Downloading the E-books is for free, I can find all kinds of free sources. It is good for students because they can save the money. Second, I can save a lot of time. Some books are not easy to be found in the bookstore, sometimes I need to go to several shops. Companionship of Books 以书为伴(节选)

A man may usually be known by the books he reads as well as by the company

he keeps; for there is a companionship of books as well as of men; and one

should always live in the best company, whether it be of books or of men.

A good book may be among the best of friends. It is the same today that it

always was, and it will never change. It is the most patient and cheerful of

companions. It does not turn its back upon us in times of adversity or distress.

It always receives us with the same kindness; amusing and instructing us in

youth, and comforting and consoling us in age.

Men often discover their affinity to each other by the mutual love they

have for a book just as two persons sometimes discover a friend by the

admiration which both entertain for a third. There is an old proverb, ‘Love me,

love my dog.” But there is more wisdom in this:” Love me, love my book.” The

book is a truer and higher bond of union. Men can think, feel, and sympathize

with each other through their favorite author. They live in him together, and he

in them.

A good book is often the best urn of a life enshrining the best that life

could think out; for the world of a man’s life is, for the most part, but the

world of his thoughts. Thus the best books are treasuries of good words, the

golden thoughts, which, remembered and cherished, become our constant companions

and comforters.

Books possess an essence of immortality. They are by far the most lasting

products of human effort. Temples and statues decay, but books survive. Time is

of no account with great thoughts, which are as fresh today as when they first

passed through their author’s minds, ages ago. What was then said and thought

still speaks to us as vividly as ever from the printed page. The only effect of

time have been to sift out the bad products; for nothing in literature can long

survive e but what is really good.

Books introduce us into the best society; they bring us into the presence

of the greatest minds that have ever lived. We hear what they said and did; we

see the as if they were really alive; we sympathize with them, enjoy with them,

grieve with them; their experience becomes ours, and we feel as if we were in a

measure actors with them in the scenes which they describe.

The great and good do not die, even in this world. Embalmed in books, their

spirits walk abroad. The book is a living voice. It is an intellect to which on

still listens.

In my hometown, the air is polluted seriously. However, in recent years,

the pollution gets from bad to worse, because of the increasing number of

private cars. Especially during the rush hours, too many private vehicles move

slowly on narrow roads, emitting a large amount of waste gas. Moreover, the

poisonous gas sent by the nearby factories is also one of the main causes of

pollution. Therefore, it’s demanded that immediate and effective measures must

be taken to restrict private cars and public transportation must be developed to

the largest extent. Besides, we should use renewable and clean energy

recourses.

Body language is used by people for sending messages to one another. It is very useful because it can help you make yourself easily understood. When you are talking with others,you are not just using words, but also using expressions and gestures. For example, waving ones hand is to say "Good-bye." A smile and handshake show welcome, and clapping hands means congratulations. Nodding the head means agreement, but shaking the head means disagreement. The gestures are accepted both by Chinese and foreigners as having the same meanings.

Different countries have different body language. For example, men in Russia, France and Arab countries kiss each other when they meet, but men in China or Australia shake hands instead of kissing. People in Puerto Rio like touching each other, but people from English speaking countries do not touth each other. If you touch an English person, you should say "Sorry. People in Arab countries like standing close to one another when they are talking, but English people must keep a distance away when they are talking. In some Asian countries, you must not touch the head of another person. In Arab countries, you eat using the fingers of your right land;the left hand is not used at all. In parts of Asia you must not sit with your feet pointing at another person.

When you use a foreign language, it is very important to know the meanings of gestures and movements in the foreign country. Following the customs will help you communicate with people and make your stay there much more pleasant and comfortable.
