When memory began for me, my grandfather was past sixty-a great tall man

with thick hair becoming gray. He had black eyes and a straight nose which ended

in a slightly flattened tip. Once he explained seriously to me that he got that

flattened tip as a small child when he fell down and stepped on his nose.

The little marks of laughter at the corners of his eyes were the prodnct of

a kindly and humorous nature. The years of work which had bent his shoulders had

never dulled his humour nor his love of a joke.

Everywhere he went, "Gramp" made friends easily. At the end of half an hour

you felt you had known him all your life. I soon learned that he hated to give

orders , but that when he had to, he tried to make his orders sound like

suggestions.

One July morning, as he was leaving to go to the cornfield, he said :

"Edwin, you can pick up the potatoes in the field today if you want to do that.

" Then he drove away with his horses.

The day passed, and I did not have any desire to pick up potatoes. Evening

端午节(the Dragon Boat Festival)，又称重五节，于每年农历五月初五庆祝。

这是广泛流传2000多年的民间节日，也是中国最重要的节日之一。端午节当天举行各种庆祝活动，吃粽子和赛龙舟(dragon boat

racing)是其中的重要习俗。关于端午节的起源，有很多传说。一部分人认为端午节是为了纪念诗人屈原，另一部分人则认为是为了纪念战国时期的著名将领伍子胥。然而，屈原的传说流传最广。人们非常欣赏这位爱国诗人的高尚情操和出众才华，更对他投江自尽的结局深表同情。

昨天，吃完晚饭后，妈妈和爸爸带着我去黑龙江边散步，准备一边运动运动，一边欣赏江景。

出了家门，我们悠闲地漫步着走向我们的目的地――黑龙江畔。这时，我不禁想起去年秋天和爷爷、奶奶一同散步的情景。那时和现在一样，同样的路，同样的城市，同样的心情。当我们走到世纪广场的时候，我不禁被那美妙的音乐喷泉吸引住了。当细长的水柱在悠扬的音乐声中摇摆起舞时，我的心中就荡漾起一层层的喜悦和伤感。

我想，人生也许就象这喷泉一样吧，有高 潮，有败落，有摇摆不定，还有停滞不前。

也许，我说的没错。

一个人不可能永远都被成功眷顾，每个人都会有败落的时候;在人生的岔路口，有哪个人没有动摇过呢?

我围着喷泉转了两圈，静静地思考着人生的哲理。

在明亮的灯下，“手在抖，笔在动”似乎在奋笔疾书。无奈，明天又要测验了，不下点功夫怎得了，“一分耕耘，一分收获”，没办法，头脑不灵活，反应迟钝，也只有靠“辛勤+汗水”了，感觉酸

甜

春天你播下几粒种子，秋天你就能收获几分果实。当你完成一件艰巨的任务时，心里乐滋滋的。当然，当你收获有成时候，此时的感受亦是如此，我用自己的辛勤取得了理想的成绩，心里像灌了蜜似的，但“虚心使人进步，骄傲使人落后”，还是虚心点吧!

苦

生活不可能无坎坷、荆棘，总有那么点挫折等着你去面对。从每一次的测验中，成绩直线下降，天天产生畏难情绪，见到难题就怕——太深奥了!学校信心全失，心里真不是滋味，感觉苦

宿舍又到消毒的时候了，大家都忙着搬东西，一个不小心，随时会撞伤。手里拿着抹布的我，一边与同学聊天，一边擦去床上的灰尘。“噔”的一声，我的头撞到了窗边，引起同学的发笑，耳边传来几句冷嘲热讽，真让人受不了。满脸通红的我呆呆地立在一旁，如徐遮进曹营——一言不发，感觉辣

幼苗总是要长高的，我们将在磨练中走向成熟，步步都充满了酸
