思绪不经意间飘回了四年级的一天下午：那天天空阴沉沉的。随着几声响雷，倾盆大雨也随之落下，不只是时间缘故还是其他原因，原本阴沉沉的天空变得越来越暗，雨也越下越大。最后一节课结束了，老师说因为雨下得很大所以叫我们在教室里等家长来接。

教室里闹哄哄的，但随着时间的推移，越来越多的同学被家长接走，教室里的.同学也越来越少。终于，爸爸的身影出现在了教室门口。他的裤脚似乎因为在雨中疾走而湿透了，他的肩膀上也有不少雨痕，他的头发和脸上也挂了不少雨珠，手中提着的雨伞还在不停地滴水。我高兴地背上书包，朝他走去。

来到校门口，雨依然很大。而爸爸的车因为来得晚的缘故，停得很远。我背着书包，和爸爸一起躲在一把小小的伞下，风带着雨珠，呼啸着扑打在我们身上，我不禁打了个寒战。爸爸把伞再次向我这边遮一点，“快点走吧。”爸爸说着，而他身上的衣服，已然湿了大半。雨水模糊了我的视线，我干脆闭上眼，任爸爸温暖的大手牵着我走。温暖，从我的手心蔓延，一直到我心底。

终于，我们来到车前，爸爸为我打开车门，我连忙钻了进去。爸爸的衣服几乎湿透了，再看看我自己……这就是爸爸对我独特的呵护吧，默默地，却令人感到安详与温暖。

或许，呵护是爱的另一种表现吧。

小米粒是大米中的一员，她见人类都有自己的名字，便也给自己取了一个：小米露。她和同伴一样，过着平静的生活。

直到有一天，一只手伸进米缸里，把小米露和同伴放进了水里，小米露与同伴们在水里嘻戏、追逐，那只大手把她们弄得痒极了，不停地笑着。不久，小米露与同伴们被关进了一口大锅里，锅内的温度不断上升，小米露觉得自己在慢慢地膨胀，胸口闷极了，她昏了过去。直到天亮了，她被一只勺子舀进了一口碗里。
