在济南市长清境内的长城村边 就有孟姜女哭倒长城后自尽的红石江(过去这条河不叫红石江，因为孟姜女投江后，河水变成了红色，就给这条河改名为红石江)。当地孟姜女的传说有近代出土的 碑刻为证，以及百姓的口碑相传。
