又是一年五月五，全国各地的人民都在热烈庆祝端午节。要问端午节给我留下最深的印象是什么?那便是每年的这个时候，妈妈都会在家里做很多香甜的粽子。看妈妈包粽子，那可真叫一种享受。只见她左手拿起一片粽叶，迅速地卷成漏斗状，右手抓一把泡好的糯米塞进粽叶，再用粽叶紧紧裹住糯米，最后用线把粽子固定扎紧。不大一会儿功夫，碧绿的粽叶、雪白的糯米，摇身一变就成了一个饱满的粽子。我望着排成一排的粽子，真是“口水流下三千尺”。接下来便是煮粽子了，开水咕嘟咕嘟冒泡后，把粽子下锅煮一个小时左右就可以吃了。粽子出锅之后，剥开一层又一层的粽叶，露出一角棕色的糯米，咬上一口，淡淡的粽香便在嘴里漾开。

以前我只知道端午节要吃粽子，却不知道其中的缘由。今年的端午节，我总算明白了。妈妈告诉我，传说端午节是为了纪念战国时期的楚国诗人屈原。屈原忧国忧民，深受人民爱戴。但却遭人陷害被赶出都城，流放在外。他在流放期间还是创作了很多不朽的诗篇，比如《离骚》、《天问》、《九歌》等等。后来，秦军攻破了楚国。屈原眼看着自己的祖国被侵略却无能为力，他在五月初五这天抱石投汨罗江以殉国，用自己的生命谱写了一曲壮丽的爱国主义乐章。

屈原死后，人们怀念他、崇敬他。每到端午节人们便把食物用苇叶包起来，投入江中，作为敬献给他的祭品。每年的五月初五，就有了吃粽子的风俗，以此来纪念爱国诗人屈原。

虽然这个传说有些神化，但是千百年来屈原一直被人们祭奠，他的诗句“路漫漫其修远兮，吾将上下而求索”广为传诵，着实令人景仰。

又到端午，又闻粽香，又祭屈原。

说起端午节，有谁不知道呢?据说端午节的由来是：爱国诗人屈原，在国家战败后，不愿苟且偷生，投江自尽。他的行为感动了许许多多的老百姓。那些善良的人们，担心屈原的肉体被鱼虾啃咬，就撒了一些菜肉在河里，让鱼虾只吃菜肉，不吃屈原的肉体。日子久了，人们为了方便，就把饭和肉包在一起。于是就有了今天的粽子。

端午节这天，家家户户都要包粽子。一个个鼓鼓的粽子，散发出诱人的香味，使人闻了就垂涎三尺。在我的家乡，除了包粽子，还有一个习俗——赶集市。这集市，与普通的集市不同。它是在山林中的一大片草地上赶。这一天，人们非常高兴，想怎么玩就怎么玩。在山林中，有拍民族特色照的;有投球夺取小玩具的;有投篮球夺奖品的;有射飞镖赢礼物的;有用沙包打玩具小狗、小猫的……

在这片空地上，到处都洋溢着欢声笑语，集市高潮时，那可谓是人山人海。在专用的一片地盘上，青年们，老人们都上面唱山歌，一个对一个，相当激烈，遇到声音特别好的，观众的掌声震耳欲聋，惊天动地。

端午节这天，除了去赶集，还有一种迷信的说法，这一天上山去采的草药用了非常好。去年的端午节，奶奶让我陪她去，虽然我不迷信，但出于好奇也跟着去了。到山上后，那里的景色非常美丽壮观，绿油油的树木，宽阔的草地，让人心旷神怡，真想高歌一曲。草丛中，不时显现老人们采药的身影。

好不容易才熬过了找草药的时光，端午节又赶到了末端，但并不冷清，反而很热闹，小伙伴们捧着家里包的粽子，比较谁家的好吃，吵吵嚷嚷的声音打破了傍晚的寂静。

端午节真是一个有趣的节日，特别是我们家乡的习俗。希望今年的端午节快点儿到来，我们都有点儿迫不及待了

Since I was a little child, I had a dream that I wanted to be a doctor.

When I was little, I watched many TV series and movies about doctors. I thought

they were so great. Therefore, I made up my mind to be a doctor. In my opinion,

doctor is the people who can help patience get out of sickness and pain.I want

to be the person who can help others. However, being a doctor needs so much

professional knowledge and there is a long way to go. So I have to try my best

on my study and go to a good college.

The Flag of the World Health OrganizationThe World Health Organization (WHO) is a specialised United Nations agency which acts as a coordinator and researcher for public health around the world. Established on 7 April 1948， and headquartered in Geneva， Switzerland， the agency inherited the mandate and resources of its predecessor， the Health Organization， which had been an agency of the League of Nations. The WHOs constitution states that its mission "is the attainment by all peoples of the highest possible level of health." Its major task is to combat disease， especially key infectious diseases， and to promote the general health of the peoples of the world. Examples of its work include years of fighting smallpox. In 1979 the WHO declared that the disease had been eradicated - the first disease in history to be completely eliminated by deliberate human design. The WHO is nearing success in developing vaccines against malaria and schistosomiasis and aims to eradicate polio within the next few years. The organization has already endorsed the worlds first official HIV/AIDS Toolkit for Zimbabwe from October 3， 2006， making it an international standard.

The WHO is financed by contributions from member states and from donors. In recent years the WHOs work has involved more collaboration， currently around 80 such partnerships， with NGOs and the pharmaceutical industry， as well as with foundations such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Rockefeller Foundation. Voluntary contributions to the WHO from national and local governments， foundations and NGOs， other UN organizations， and the private sector (including pharmaceutical companies)， now exceed that of assessed contributions (dues) from its 193 member nations.
