１９５４年８月１０日夜，个旧市区遭受到一场特大暴雨的袭击，市区周围２０多平方公里范围内也普降特大暴雨，大量洪水从山沟顺流而下，全部汇集到市区９平方公里的洼地处，洼地水面在一夜之间上升了0.8米。随后，又连续降雨，多时每天降雨量达0.0742米，洼地水面不断扩大，水位继续上涨，加上市区东面老阴山山脚的“落水洞”不仅不能正常落水，反而冒水，最大出水量为每秒５．７３立方米。１９５４年８月几次暴雨之后，落水洞又大量出水，致使原云南锡业公司机关、机厂、炼厂，原个旧市砖瓦厂、砖瓦窑、铁工厂、农民服务站等全部被淹，洪灾一共造成民房被淹９５６间、６５９户，２８１０人受灾，田地被淹２２８亩８分。

我今年13岁了，个子还和10岁孩子差不多高一米四几，但我不是不张，只是长得慢，一年只长几厘米，害得我妈着急死了，我也很着急，希望我快点长高，因为长不高太麻烦了。

第一：让我很没面子，同学们经常那我开玩笑，比如有一次，我和林启哲上厕所，旁边站了一个四年纪小朋友，他发现比我高一点点。于是林启哲不知耻的问他：“小朋友，你几年级啊?”“四年级啊。”，然后他嘲笑我说：“四年级的都比你高。”我当时觉得很没面子。

还有一次，我和林启哲去超市shopping，本来是很开心的一件事，可当我来到收银台时，那个阿姨笑着问林启哲：“那个小朋友是你的弟弟啊!”我当场差点晕了，林企鹅笑着解释完，走出门他又接着机会嘲笑我，我想是不是应该和他做朋友了。这是一只让我记忆犹新，我想找个机会报复一下

第二，让我体育总是比不过别人，个子不高肯定体育不好，尤其是什么跑步不行啊。

还有一点是我在早操队中是永远的第一个，已经六年了，从来没变过，又一次，国旗下表演，前排的主持人都是找最近的回答问题，刚好我是最近的，他问我，我没想到，她在哪里提醒我才明白，让我一下很难堪，恨不得找个地缝钻进去。后排的自然不用担心找到自己了。

我恨不得快点长高，但事与愿违，我只好自嘲：“浓缩就是精华。”“我不是矮，只是高的不明显。”但我依旧是想长高的。

Protect Our Environment It is important to beal with the rubbish in cities. Our world was colorful,beautiful and full of life. But these years, people have built many factories along rivers. Many trees have been cut down. Many animals have lost their homes. Factories cause pollution. Rivers become polluted. As a student, you should do every things in your everyday life to protect them. First, stop wasting more water. Second, throw waste things into different dustbins. For example, waste paper should be throw into paper recyclable bins. Third, stop cutting down trees. Instead, plant more. Fourth, pick up garbage in the park or on the road when we are free. Last, call on more and more people to pay attention to contrlling pollution. In a word, everybody has his duty to protect the world.

昨天，巍然屹立的青山，奔腾不息的江水，郁郁葱葱的树木，婀娜多姿的鲜花，都是大地母亲的骄傲。

昨天，小动物们在郁郁葱葱的树林中与知心的伙伴自由自在地玩耍，生活得无忧无虑。

昨天，人类生活在空气清新的绿色家园，用自己辛勤的汗水养育了一代又一代健康强壮的子孙。

然而，随着科技进步与社会的快速发展，渐渐地人类不再满足于大自然的恩赐，为了满足日益增长的物质生活需求，正快速的步入发展中的今天。

今天，工业污水源源不断地流入江河湖，海天空到处弥漫着黑色烟尘，路边垃圾堆积如山。

今天，森林面积锐减，土地沙漠化，大地母亲失去了她往日美丽的容颜，山清水秀、鸟语花香，都成为了美好的回忆。

今天，小动物们失去了原本幸福快乐的家园，气候慢慢变暖，水资源正面临枯竭。

今天，人们不断遭遇沙尘暴、泥石流、SARS的侵袭……地球居民已经进入了一个高风险的地带，空气需要清新，食物需要消毒，连水也要需要净化。人们逐渐尝到什么是妻离子散、家破人亡的痛苦滋味

渐渐地，人类知道了宇宙中那颗蔚蓝色的星球是生命的摇篮，她给予我们生存所需要的一切，离开了她，我们一刻也无法生存。于是，人类开始保护这绿色的家园，开始告别今天，走向明天。

明天，天空不再弥漫黑烟，恢复了它本来的蔚蓝。它穿着一件神秘无形的衣服（空气净化器）变幻成彩色，带着天然花草的气息。

明天，大地母亲重现它绿色而又光滑的肌肤，用魅力唤醒万物。茂密的森林里，依然像以前那么热闹；清澈的河水中，鱼虾们在嬉戏玩耍；小道旁，又现桃红柳绿。

明天，人类只有在书上才知道什么是沙尘暴，什么是泥石流，什么是SARS病毒……

地球——宇宙中永恒的璀璨之星，是人类生命的摇篮。保护地球，就是保护我们自己的家园。

The population of the earth is increasing very fast. Humans must make the earth support the increasing population. This has made it necessary for agriculture and industry to develop rapidly.

Such a rapid development produces more and more waste, which goes into the water, the soil and the air. Some of it is made harmless. However, where there is too much of it, the poisonous waste may do great harm to the things around the people.

When farmers add fertilizer to the soil to make plants grow better, or use poison to kill pests, poison is sent into the air, the water and the soil. When birds, fish and people eat the grain, drink the water or breath the air, harm will be done to their health.

The air in big cities is often made very dirty by cars and factories. Millions of tons of waste and poisonous gases are sent into the air with the smoke. In some places, little is done to make the smoke clean before it goes into the air.

Fortunately, people are beginning to realize just how serious the whole situation is. In many countries, laws have been made to stop factories from sending out poisonous gases.

“呜呜……呜呜”，“是谁哭得这么伤心呀!”我从小河边经过时，听到一阵阵伤心的哭泣声，不禁好奇地问道。

“是我呀!小鱼”，这时，一条小鱼浮上水面，它抽噎着，擦着眼泪，非常伤心的样子。

我很奇怪地问：“你们天天生活在水里，应该快快乐乐、无忧无虑的，哭什么呀?”

小鱼哭着说：“嗳，没办法，这几年，人们的环保意识差了，生活好了，也不爱护水资源了，他们向河里乱扔东西，排工业废水，甚至还在这儿刷粪桶，还把我的爸爸妈妈抓走，吃了。这儿臭气熏天、气味刺鼻、蚊蝇成群，肮脏不堪。河水被严重污染，造成我的同伴全都死亡，只剩下我自己一人，真孤单呀!以前，这里是多么的美丽，清澈见底，可如今……”。小鱼再也说不下去了!

我不禁想：小动物们是我们的好朋友，它们已经发出了难以继续生存的哭泣，我们一定保护环境，从现在做起，从小事做起，给它们创造一个美丽温馨的家!

当我们从堆积如山的垃圾旁走过；当我们从乌黑如墨的河流边经过；当我们不得不每天呼吸着满是沙尘和废气的空气时，我们应该如何做？是漠然而对？还是积极的呼吁：请保护我们赖以生存的自然环境！

还记得以前上学时经过的一座桥，从桥面望下去，能看见河底的细沙，偶尔还能看到游鱼在水中嬉戏。流经桥下的清澈小河，是许多村民日常生活的好伙伴。人们在这条河里洗衣服、洗菜，兴致来了，甚至在河里游泳，捕鱼。这里也是我们童年时的乐园，自由自在的小鱼、小虾伴随我们在水中快乐的游玩，让我们的童年充满了乐趣！

然而好景不长，近两年不知从哪来的一群人，在河边建了一间工厂，工厂是生产什么的我们不知道，但这间工厂每天都用几根管子把乌黑的废水排出我们村民都喜欢、依赖的小河。村民们抗议过，但工厂的工作人员根本就不把村民的劝告放在眼里，只顾自己能多赚钱就行，面对村民的抗议，他们不管不顾，自己喜欢干什么就干什么。现在原来那条清澈见底的小河已经被那间工厂的废水污染了，昔日透明的河水变得乌黑发臭，村民们都不敢在那里洗衣服、洗菜，甚至从河里捕捞的鱼儿，即使还活蹦乱跳也不敢送进口里了。至于游泳，也仿佛成了我们的痴想！

面对态度如此恶劣的工厂，村民们没有妥协，他们积极向村委和上级有关部门投诉，并自发组织村民阻止工厂继续向小河排放污水。在村委及上级部门的干涉和村民们不放弃的努力下，工厂的负责人不得不承认了错误，承诺关闭工厂并为恢复小河原貌出一份力！

经过这一件事，村民们的环保意识都得到了加强，他们通过抗争知道面对环境的污染，如果人人都能团结起来，改变环境被污染的情况也不是不可以的。我也从这件事中明白了：地球是我们共同的母亲，她养育了我们，面对母亲所受到的污染，我们不能视而不见，无动于衷，而应该积极行动起来，用自己的热忱及努力改变这种情况。

请大家都积极的动起来，从我做起，从身边的事开始努力，保护好我们赖以生存的自然环境！

我们生活在生物圈之中，地球是我们赖以生存的环境，是人类的母亲，更是我们不可缺少的依靠。

在这个美丽富饶的星球上，人类是唯一有智慧的生物。但是人类，以为有智慧就可以称霸世界了，但这正是人类愚蠢的地方，以至于聪明反被聪明误。人类自诞生起，一切衣食住行及生产、生活、无不依赖于我们所生存的这个地球，森林、海洋、土壤、草原、野生动植物等。人类对自然的破坏却使得这个星球满目疮疤，人口的增长和生产活动的增多，也对环境带来了压力。人类是多么残忍的伤害我们的母亲啊！要知道，我们生存的环境是从长辈们身上继承下去从子孙那里借来的，有什么理由破坏呢？那在城市里的行道树啊，你们有多么大的使命，你们渴望有一片绿荫，但城市里车来车往一整天空气都是肮脏的，浑浊的。地球上那些默默无闻的大树，却遭受着人类滥砍滥伐的噩梦的困扰，它们也怕地球会乌烟瘴气的。我们生存的环境中的水，也在一天天地变质，一天天的减少，但是人类却还执迷不悟，把田地改成楼房，围湖造田，使泥沙量变多，人类为什么只顾眼前利益呢，为什么不想想后来呢？

恶有恶报，因人类滥砍滥伐，随着森林不断的减少，沙漠不断的蔓延，旱灾肆虐。人类所需要的许多资源本来是可以不断再生，长期给人类做贡献的，但无情的人类破坏了它们，造成了一系列的生态灾难。人们早知如此，为何还花那么多钱来救死扶伤呢？我们没有继承应该继承的，我们没有丢弃应该丢弃的。应该继承的是什么？是自然的生命力和逆境自强的奋斗精神。应该扔掉的是什么？是鸵鸟的心态和急功近利的思维！现在的光污染，化学污染，白色污染，水污染等污染，不都是人类一手造成的吗？这样的悲剧，原因还是在于人类啊！

我们应保护好地球，过低碳生活，地球母亲已经很累了，默默承受着人类的罪，地球母亲意冷心灰，每天流下伤心眼泪。我们不应做点什么吗？

环境永远是我们的朋友，无论是过去、现在、还是未来，少不了我们每一个公民的努力，让我们从小事做起，从生活中的一点一滴做起，让我们携起手来共同营造文明和谐和环境吧！让我们在校园这片圣洁的天空中放飞希望。
