五月四日上午十点多钟，妈妈带我乘座33路公交车来到了位于山东路和延吉路交界的青岛市图书馆，刚一下车，我便被眼前的一座平顶的巨大建筑物惊呆了，啊!这就是青岛市图书馆，它比我想象的要大多了，我想这么大一个图书馆，里面肯定象我家附近的书城一样有许多人，有很多书。我怀着好奇的心情跟随着妈妈走进了图书馆，一进大门便看到门口有一个很大的图书馆布局指示图，他将整个馆内图书的存放位置介绍的清清楚楚，旁边是自动存包处。我们将包存好后边根据指示来到了图书借阅大厅，进了大厅我发现这里并不象我想象的那样，里面虽然人很多但非常宁静，大家各自静悄悄的专心阅读着自己借阅的图书。我学着妈妈的样子将我需要的书名告诉了图书馆的阿姨，阿姨很快就通过电脑查找到了我所要图书，随后我抱着借来的图书跟着妈妈来到了阅览室，找到位置坐下学着大人的样子，静静的阅读起了图书。

时间过的很快，不知不觉就过去了2个小时，在这段时间里我看了我借来7、8本图书。这时妈妈悄悄的对我说要带我回家吃饭了，我只好依依不舍的随着妈妈离开了图书馆。在回家的路上，我恳求妈妈答应我以后要常常带我来图书馆看书。今天我的收获很大，从书本上我学到了很多知识，今天是我又开心又难忘的一天。

I am a December 2003 graduate from the University of San Francisco (USF) with a bachelors degree in International Business. As part of my career planning, I am very interested in supplementing my international business education with a basic knowledge of the Chinese language. This I hope will help me enter into business commerce with business organizations partnering with Chinas economic development.

I already have information from BLCU and hope to study there for at least one full year starting with this summers program continuing through the fall and spring semester 2006. Can your office advise me if such scholarships might be available to me?

I have been studying Chinese for one year now. I am not sure what level I belong to. I was told that there will be an HSK test in our university in September. I am planning to attend the test. But I dont know if the result of the test is recognized by your university. If so, can it be a help for me to apply for the scholarship?

春天来了，几场蒙蒙的细雨后，送来了一个阳光明媚的晴天。我背上水和干粮，和妈妈去登风景秀丽的七角山。

我们沿着弯弯曲曲的山路向上走。在山脚时，路旁的油菜花开了，黄灿灿的，还发出沁人心脾的芳香;一阵微风吹来，油菜花向我们鞠躬，好像在说：“欢迎，欢迎。”;农民们已经开始刨地了;万里无云的天空不知从哪飘来了几朵“棉花糖”，一会儿，淘气的春风又将它们吹走了。我欣赏着景色，不知不觉中登到了一片空地，找了个枯草丛躺了下来。看远方的风景，只见层峦叠嶂，一山连着一山，满山苍翠。给人一种舒服，心旷神怡的感觉。在不远处飞来了一只小鸟，在地上蹦蹦跳跳，我轻手轻脚地走过去，仔细地看了看这个小家伙：黑黑的脑袋上镶嵌着一对水汪汪的大眼睛和尖尖的嘴，黑白条纹的身体下长着红色的小爪子。它似乎注意到了我，迅速地飞走了。休息了一会儿，我们上路了，进入了树林。

树林里大部份是松树，笔直的树干上长着针一样的叶子。阳光透过叶子射在树旁的野草丛上，各种奇花异卉像星星在散布在天空一样散布在草丛里。有红的，白的，紫的，粉红的，黄色的等等。比如白的，就像大雪山上的冰片一样晶莹。再如红的，如果你认为那是一团火的话，那就大错特错了，在丽日的的照耀下，显的越发的娇艳。就算是闭上眼睛，你也会感受到：啊!多美啊``````我扑进草坪，嫩草的清新和野花的芬芳在我的周围漂浮着，真让人神清气爽，心旷神怡。一路上，各种野树都开花了鲜艳无比，我终于明白了什么是“万紫千红总是春”。

照我们安徽砀山的老规矩，春节差不多在腊月的初旬就开始了。 According to the old rules of our Anhui Laoshan, the Spring Festival is almost in the early days of the month.

在腊八这一天，我们都要喝腊八粥，而且还有“谁家喝的粥越早，谁家明年准是大丰收”的俗语呢!除此之外，我们小孩子在这一天更是忙得不可开交。我们做的第一件事就是买好吃的糖果、果冻、瓜子等等。第二件事是我们男孩子最喜欢的事，那就是买爆竹。第三件事就是买各种玩具了，风车、口哨、气球……

腊月二十三是小年，天还没亮呢就听见别人在放炮了，害得我连觉都没睡好，第二天眼睛四周黑黑的，都成熊猫眼了。

腊月二十四必须大扫除，这一天我可累坏了，又是擦玻璃又是洗地板的，出了一身的汗。大人们则忙着备年货，把鸡肉、猪肉、鱼肉、青菜、年糕等年货准备充足。

最热闹的就是初夕，这天家家都忙着贴春联、贴年画。除夕夜必不可少的就是包饺子和放鞭炮。大人们围在一起，有的人在和面，有的人在擀皮儿，有的人在拌馅儿，有的人在准备烧火的柴火……包饺子时还要在饺子皮里放上钱和红枣。预示着新的一年日子红红火火。我则忙着放鞭炮，“霹雳”“啪啦”的声音不绝于耳。最热闹的就属晚上了，各种形状，各种颜色的烟花在天空不停地绽放，有的像一串串明亮的珍珠;有的像一朵怒放的花朵;有的像天女散花……，这些美丽的烟花刹那间把整条街都照亮了，整个村子的天空变成了五彩缤纷的世界。

大年初一是新年，这一天大家早早起来，吃完饺子就去给老人拜年，我们这儿叫串门。我可高兴了，因为从这一天开始我就可以串亲戚，可以收到长辈们送的红包。

正月十五是元宵节，这天晚上要吃元宵，我和村里其它孩子们则打着各色灯笼四处游玩，烟花又在此刻重新装点起美丽的夜空。一个个孔明灯就像天空中明亮的星星，带着人们的美好愿望消失在漆黑的夜空中。

家乡的春节在正月十五的香甜元宵中结束了，可我还沉浸在热闹、祥和的春节中。

I am sure you will be sympathetic, however, when I tell you that my father is dangerously ill in hospital, and that I found it impossible to leave for the visit when he is in this state.

My father was working very hard on his project on protecting the environment. I know the project has come to a very important stage. He and his assistants did not take regular rest for three weeks. Last night, my father had a heart attack and was soon sent to the hospital. The doctor said my father was in a very serious situation, and, he might need an operation.

24 hours have passed. Nothing has changed. I have to stay at the hospital. I will let you know if there is any good news.

这个暑期爸爸给我报名去学游泳，他说学会游泳既能锻炼好身体又是能作为保护自身安全的本领。一举多得受益匪浅的好事。

培训期为15天，今天是我培训的第十一天，时间过了大半，我学的成绩还算显著，从一个见到水就怕的岸鸭子开始，现在可以在水里漂了，说来学游泳还真有巧门，一开始教练就是要我们在水里泡，要我们不怕水接着就是要我把头浸在水里练习迫气，这个动作够难，我浸了几秒钟就受不了，教练说主要是我的心理压力大，“怕是当头”一边与我说一边让我自然的把头浸在水里，还轻轻的拍着我的背给我记着数，一秒二秒三秒……就这样我的胆子大了。教练拉着我的手让我身体伸展两手向前，我就能自己漂浮在水上了，那感觉真是美极了。害怕的感觉就没了。

不过要真的掌握游泳要领还要下功夫，呼吸得用嘴，手脚动作要协调，教练指着那些在水里瞎折腾的小学员说，他们这样学是浪费时间，你们要记住要领手脚要协调，手向后划水要用力，双脚打水速度要均匀，换气要自然，要用心体会，当然最重要的是反复练习，光说不练是纸上谈兵。

我要抓紧最后的几天时间，争取能自己游上15米到那时……哈哈，我该多高兴!
