对于中国考生来说，英文写作一直是最为头疼的事情之一。那么考生为什么会畏惧英文表达呢？为什么有些考生背了一两万个单词却仍然写不出好的文章呢？找到了这一系列问题的答案，就真正抓住了提高写作能力的关键。

英文写作困境可以归纳为三类：

困境1：面对一个题目，根本无话可说，即便用中文，也写不出内容。

困境2：有话可说，有内容可写，但英文表达支离破碎，完全不能用英文阐释清楚自己的观点。

困境3：有话说，也能用英文表达出要表达的意思，但写出来的语言“满篇尽带Chinglish（中式英语）”。

面对一个话题，考生之所以无法写出连贯的文字，是因为缺少写作素材。那么素材是什么呢？其实也就是我们所说的“言之有物”中的“物”。无论是四、六级写作，还是考研写作，或是雅思、托福、GRE、GMAT、SAT写作，考生之所以无法取得高分，根本原因在于其日常积累的英文论证素材以及论据素材过于贫乏，根本无法将零星散落于大脑各个角落不成体系的素材组合起来，形成一篇逻辑严密、语言优美地道的文章。因此，英文素材的积累和素材库的建立可以真正帮助中国英语学习者和广大英语考生提高写作能力，走出英文表达困境。

一、小学生作文存在的问题

作文是运用语言文字进行表达和交流的重要方式，是认识世界、认识自我、进行创造性表述的过程。写作能力是语文素养的综合体现。小学生作文能力的好差，直接影响着他今后的学习、工作和生活。而作文教学一直是小学语文教学的难点之一。不要以为不做文字工作，就可以不在乎作文好坏，现实生活中无数事例都已证明：一个人的文字表达能力将在很大程度上决定他的前程。人们在生活工作中可以不用天天为数字操心，可以不因为不会说英文而无处谋生，但是一个不会作文，不会用语言恰当表达自己的人，是肯定无法在社会上拥有自己的一片立足之地的。而作文一直是小学生们感到头痛的事。小学生作文在写什么？他们在怕什么？经过实际考察和分析，我们发现小学生的作文存在以下问题：

１.小学生作文水平差距很大

这种差距表现在学生与学生之间，班级与班级之间，学校与学校之间。成绩好的学生有９５分以上，可以写五六百字，而且选材新颖，语句通顺，有真情实感。成绩差的只有二三十分，不到一百个字，错别字、语病很多。好的班级与差的班级，好的学校与差的学校也很不平衡，而且这种差距远比语文知识的差距明显。

二、解决问题的对策

(一)材料的积累

1.引导学生观察生活，教给学生观察方法

在我们的周围时时刻刻都发生着这样或那样的事情，怎样引导学生观察生活、认识生活，帮助他们写好文章呢？我注意在平时和学生闲聊时挖掘写作素材。如“五一”节后，李明对我说，他的外公从城里回来了，他陪外公出去逛，外公很吃惊，说五年没有回来，原先的村落都认不出来了。我觉得这是反映家乡新面貌的好题材，就启发他选取典型事例，写了一篇作文《我村的变化》，结果这篇作文写得真实感人。这就说明学生的生活中有不少有意义的写作素材有待挖掘，因此教师要善于引导学生观察生活、认识生活。

小学生观察事物往往是走马观花，不细致、不深入，所以观察到的也只是事物的表面现象。笔者认为，要提高学生认识事物的能力，必须教会学生观察的方法。首先，要让学生明确观察不只是观看，必须运用视觉、听觉、嗅觉等多种感觉，同时还要边观察、边思考。在教学中，我较注意训练学生的有意观察。如在习作《一只桔子》时，我采用实物演示法。上课前，请每个人准备一只桔子，引导学生观察桔子的形状、颜色，掂一掂它的重量，摸一摸它的表皮，闻一闻它的香味。然后剥开桔皮，观察桔子的内部结构并加以想像。最后请学生品尝一下桔子的味道。这里教师指导学生运用多种感官，感知事物的各部分特征，不断丰富自己的感受。这样一只小小的桔子便能写成长长的一

段充满童趣的文字。如此经过一段时间的训练，学生就会养成良好的观察习惯，提高了观察能力。

2.丰富学生生活。

生活是写作的来源，但有些学生的生活确实有些单调，往往是“上学—放学—做功课—看电视—睡觉”一条线。他们看到的无非是村路，几幢房子，视野非常狭窄。针对这种情况，教师要尽量为学生创造丰富多彩的生活：(1)精心安排每个节日。如春节可搞个慰问活动，让学生帮助军属做好事；妇女节，可给妈妈送份礼物写封信；节前，每个人都要设想一下活动方案，节日里亲身感受一下精彩的活动，节后再谈谈感受，这样作文时就不会无话可写了。(2)组织好课外活动。如“放风筝”、“郊游”等。活动前，先让学生读一读有关的文章，了解一下有关的知识，积累一些有关的语言材料，活动时要仔细观察活动过程。这样，写文章时就会比较顺利。(3)周末，可布置一些生活作业，如做一道菜，洗一次衣服，做一件小制作等，这些都能成为写作的好材料。

(二)材料要为主题服务

把材料写进作文，还要经过一个选择的过程。所以学生要善于识别，敢于取舍，把那些能生动有力地突出主题的材料选入文章，这样才能使文章变得精炼充实，而对于那些与主题无关或者关系不大的材料则要坚决删除。为了训练学生选择材料的能力，教师可设计一系列材料，让学生选择。

(三)加强阅读教学

广泛阅读，一方面可进一步扩展学生作文材料的范围，还有一个重要的方面就是可以丰富学生的词汇，提供遣词造句、布局谋篇的范例。首先，小学教材中的课文，均为文道俱佳的美文，学生可以从中吸取丰富的语言养料，提高语言技巧。其次，要重视学生课外阅读的指导。我的做法是，利用中午及课外活动时间，引导学生阅读一些课外读物以丰富自己的语言材料，提高自己对语言文字的领悟与运用能力，并要求学生在阅读时，把一些优美的文句摘录下来，制作成卡片以便经常翻阅使用。

三、作文训练的方法-构建“生活作文”体系 提高学生作文水平

( 一)走进生活，丰富素材库

叶圣陶先生说：“生活如泉源，文章如溪水，泉源丰富而不枯竭，溪水自然活泼地流个不歇。”在“生活作文”的研究中，我们注重把学生的目光引向自然生活、学校生活、家庭生活、社会生活，指导学生做积累素材的有心人。

1．以社会为背景，指导学生观察生活

作文教学中的即兴观察或有意观察，都是认识生活、获取作文材料的常用方法。平时我们教给学生观察方法并有意引导学生去观察周围美好的人和事。如观察乡村、街道的重大建设与细微变化，留心家庭中一些生活设施的添置观察社会各阶层人物的工作表现：如民警指挥交通，退休老工人维持社会秩序，医生热情为病人治病，营业员服务周到，教师关心热爱学生，爷爷奶奶勤劳俭朴，叔叔阿姨

尊老爱幼，同学之间友爱帮助观察大自然的树木花草、虫鱼鸟兽、日月星空、小河田野、瓜果蔬莱通过观察，激起学生的作文兴趣，帮助学生积累写作素材，陶冶学生的情操。

2．以活动为载体，组织学生参与生活

有意识组织活动，使学生有可能积累较典型的写作材料。这不仅关系到作文教学的成功与否，也关系到能否在引导学生认识生活的过程中，深化作文主题。如进行写人作文的训练时，若单靠作文指导时启发学生选材是远远不够的，学生往往会一时想不起来而无从下笔。那么在作文前我们组织学生开展“夸 X X”或“我佩服他

（她）”“他真行”等演讲形式的主题活动，学生就会有较多时间去有意回忆，搜集所写人物对象的材料。这样，既可激起学生表达的欲望，产生作文兴趣，又可选取出表现人物特点的典型材料。在记事方面我们配合重大节日组织学生举办联欢会、游艺会，利用中队活动召开“谈天说地”“畅想未来”、“世界之最报道”、“中国伟人介绍”、“著名风景区导游”、“地球呐喊沙龙”平时组织学生郊游，参观工厂，深入农村让学生自办活动“周末大家乐”、“早晨新闻发布会”定期举行校园文化艺术节、体育运动会、“看我露一手”擂台赛让学生的表现意识得到培养，才华得到展示，表达能力得到提高。

When I do badly in study, she encourages me and tries to cheer me up. My mother is a teacher, and she is always busy with her work. When she corrects students homework, she is always very serious. My mother is responsible to all of her students. She cares much about students study and life, and she tries her best to help students in need.

My mother is a loving mother, a qualified teacher, and a real hero in my heart.

我最喜欢的节日

My favorite holiday is New Year. It is a very important festival in Chinese culture. In fact, its the highlight of the year. Everyone returns home for a family reunion. We have a big feast and chat about all the things that have happened in our lives. People also visit each other. We exchange gifts and good wishes for the next year.

我最喜欢的节日是新年。在中国文化中，新年是一个非常重要的节日。事实上，它是一年中最好的（日子）。每个人都回家与家人团聚。我们有一个比较大的盛会并且（与他人）畅聊所有发生在我们生活中的事。人们总是互相拜访。我们交换礼物和来年的祝福。

New Year is especially fun for kids. Thats because we get

presents and treats, including red envelopes filled with money. But we never forget that this holiday is a time to give thanks. We feel grateful for our family and the things that we have. Finally, we think about the future and the great year ahead. 对孩子来说，新年是一个特别快乐（的日子）。因为我们可以得到礼物和乐趣，这其中就包括红包。但我们从未忘记新年是一个给予（他人）感恩的日子。我们对家人以及拥有的事物感恩。最后，我们考虑未来和美好的新一年。

笑着哭着，傻着颠着，我们站在熟季——青春

每个人都在成长，不论是生理还是心理，都经历过或是将要经历青春。不要以为青春只是长长痘痘，长长个子，这样想的话显的较肤浅。这一时期里要面对的不只是学业和事业上的困难，最重要的还是情感问题。

感情使部分人在青春中失去了对学业和事业的追逐，让人显的空洞虚无。要知道青春只有一次，过了就不会再回来，把持好感性是必要的。

青春中，我们编绘着一道道彩虹，我们就像那高高低低的树木那样总会变的老熟。

青春中，我们集汇成一条大河，历经千辛万苦凝聚千万细流。

青春中，我们探索着、学习着，最后发现了“现实”和“理想”间的差距。

在青春的磨砺中，我们学会了坚强，学会了面对，学会了力争向上，学会了谦让，学会了知恩图报，学会了珍惜现在所拥有的，学会了适应，学会了登高博望。

岁月如歌，青春进行中。在未来的日子里，我们需要懂得什么是我们必须夺得的，什么是我们所不可触摸的！拥有的就要珍惜，渴望的就要学会争取！

Its the third Sunday in June again, and its the holiday Ive been looking

forward to for a long time - Fathers Day.

"Mom, what do you want to give grandpa?" I asked my mother, resting my chin

on my hand. After thinking for a moment, Mom said, "Fruit basket!" "Mom, help me

think about what should I give Dad?" "Lets go to the boutique and have a

look."

So, we went to the boutique, and we picked left and right, carefully

selected, and we all felt that these gifts were not very good. "Ah, Dad is a

dog, so give him a puppy!" I suddenly had such an idea.

We walked over to the plastic and found a lifelike puppy which was very

interesting. Furry hair, piercing eyes, and a smiling face make people like him

more and more. I thought to myself: This puppy is cute, thats all.

I bought it, asked the waiter to pack it, and went home happily. When I got

home, I wrote a blessing on a piece of paper and put it by the bed with the

gift.

I discussed it with my mother and came up with a terrifying plan: We hid in

the place where Dad must pass when he entered the room, and when Dad came in, we

would scare him. So we quickly hid. "Dong dong dong..." "Dad is here!" Grandma

stepped forward to open the door, when Dad walked past us. "Wow," we jumped out.

"Ah, scared me to death!" Dad was shaking. A dignified man was frightened by

us, haha! "Mum sneered at Dad.

When Dad walked into the room and found the gift, his eyes were wide open,

and he couldnt help holding me around the living room a few times.

I will never forget this Fathers Day.

New Year is coming. I have many great New Year’s resolutions. I will study math harder than before because I want to get better grades. I’m going to improve my spoken English because I want communicate with foreigners better in English.

I plan to learn German because I really want to travel to Germany by myself. And I’m going to learn a new instrument, it may be guitar.

As for friends, I’m going to make more good friends. Because I think friendship is important and valuable.

These are my New Year’s resolutions. I’m working hard to make them come true. I trust myself.

现在只要进入图书馆，我便会立刻被那安静的氛围所吸引，随意翻开一本刚印刷好的书，就会陶醉在那四溢的墨香里……

小时候的我并不太喜欢读书，看书时也总是囫囵吞枣地乱翻一通。但直到那一天——

那还是我小学三年级的时候，作业早早地写完了，正好附近又开了一家书店。本是抱着好玩儿心态的我在看到图书馆那安静的氛围后，便立刻想回家了。但无奈，父母都走了，我也没拿钥匙，就只能乖乖的呆在图书馆了。

本来想在这里发会儿呆，或者玩儿会儿手机，但看到大家都在安静看书时，我又觉得这样做很不好意思。于是随手拿起旁边的一本书，翻开后不知从哪儿散发出一阵墨香。后来才知道，原来是因为书刚被印刷出来，带有墨水的气味。

虽说我之前也会看书，但这次看书和之前不一样，之前我只是囫囵吞枣，并没有仔细去看，但这次也许是因为有了充足的时间，便看的很仔细，会随着书中的主人公一起喜怒哀乐，会去想作者是在什么背景下创作出了这本书，会看后面的赏析……

我第一次觉得读书是多么得有趣。看了一本又一本，看得简直入了迷。直到爸爸站在我身后，准备叫我回家，我都没发觉。

回家路上我不停地跟爸爸说着，我在《狼王梦》中看到的狼的习性，在《三国演义》中看到的诸葛亮的足智多谋，在《世界悬案未解之谜》中看到的悬案……

爸爸听后还惊讶的问我这些都是从哪儿知道的。我却自豪的把头一仰说道：“我是绝对不会告诉你，这些都是我在书里看的。”

自从那天起，我仿佛就和书结下了不解之缘，每周最少要看三本书，不然都睡不着觉……

我相信我一定能将阅读进行到底。
