We all know Tagore.This famous Indian poet once said, “Life is given to us, and we earn it by giving it.” As the saying goes, nature is given to us, and we earn it by contributing to it. However, most people nowadays just want to ask for more from the nature. In fact, they do very little contribution to the nature. Therefore, the environment around us is becoming worse and worse.

Do you often use batteriesThen do you know it takes 50 times more energy to make them than they produceAnd just one simple battery can pollute as much water as a person can drink in his whole life. The facts and figures are amazing. So would you please try to use batteries only when it is necessaryIf possible, give the used ones to the recycling companies so that they will be made into new ones and won’t be able to pollute the environment any more.

Sometimes we become complacent when it comes to recycling, but when you speak in terms of actual facts and figures that everybody can understand, people become much clearer about the problem.

We, as school students, can also join in recycling activities to protect the environment. For example, our class set up a recycling

center beside the back door, it is very useful. It is used to collect the waste paper and plastic bottles. In the past, our classmates used to throw all of these into the trashcan. At the very beginning of this collecting activity, it was not so warm-welcomed. Later, more and more people were influenced by the others and joined this collecting activity. Gradually, all the students in our class form a good habit to protect the environment. All of us will now put away the reusable things instead of throwing them into the trashcan.

We should always remember in our mind that protecting the environment is our duty that we can never neglect. Finally would you please let me end this speech with a little poem, “Be kind to the river. Be good to the trees. Smile at the sunshine, and bow to the breeze. Be friendly to nature, and nature will be friendly to you!”

在沿江中学有一个热点，那就是胖叔叔的窗台。因为他养的不是什么名贵动植物，而是一些极为普通的小动物和植物。热爱动物和植物的胖叔叔还组织了一个“生态园”。一天清晨，一种像牛像马又像驴的“四不像”动物的出现，打破这里的宁静。于是故事就开始了，吴胜和瘦丁丁历经了千辛万苦，抱着受伤的“怪物”，来到来到宠物医院，经受许多质疑和刁难，终于把小麋鹿的伤腿治好，最后使麋鹿母子团圆，重回大自然。

看到这里我不由想起，我们有些人特别喜欢抓小鸟，掏鸟蛋，喜欢抓一些小鱼小虾之类的小动物。看到受伤的动物不理不睬，那些可怜的动物只能等死。甚至有些人为了钱财随意地杀害动物，特别是那些珍贵动物。比起吴胜和瘦丁丁来，真的羞死人。如果我们每个人都能够像吴胜和瘦丁丁一样，看到受伤的小动物就帮助它，特别是那些濒临绝种的动物，爱惜和珍惜动物，从小养成爱护动物的好习惯，给动物一个很好的生存环境，就不会出现生态不平衡的现象，人类和动物就会和睦相处。要知道地球不是人类的私产，我们只拥有半个地球，另外一半是属于其他动物和植物的。我决心今后以他们为榜样，全心全意地投入保护环境，尽可能的保护动物。例如：为一些无家可归的小鸟，搭一个小房子，给他们一个家。保护益鸟，不伤害小鸟。如果遇到有人伤害动物，要及时劝阻。对珍贵的动物要更加保护，学会跟动物做朋友。

让我们行动起来吧，一起保护大自然，只要大家一心，那这个世界就会是一个和谐的世界。

在我们身边，现在已经开始了保护绿化，要环保，要绿色，现在马路上很多很多，现在有温室效应，冰川融化等等。环保现在对我们来说已经很重要了，我们要从小事做起，不乱扔垃圾，不随地吐痰，要多种树种花，少开汽车，多走路等……

就说其中一个多种树种花，如果多种的话既环保又美观真是一举两得，树可以吸入二氧化碳，呼出氧气，向外国他们早就开始了环保，但要真正环保就需要从自己做起。写字的纸不要乱扔，可以拿去卖掉。记得又一次我也没做到环保，就是我本子上乱涂乱画好了就扔掉，我扔了好多好多，妈妈看见了就说：“你怎么乱扔纸呢？这些都是用钱买来的，不能随便乱扔还有这些纸可以回收再利用，你不能这么浪费多可惜啊！”妈妈边说我边低下头认错，我自己也知道错了，我不该乱浪费，这些都是用钱来买的。这就是我不环保的错误，真是不应该浪费啊！

从那以后，我就没再浪费过了。你们知道了吗？地球的志愿是非常有限的，我们要保护起来，我现在可是环保自愿者，我家里也养了许多的花花草草，真是绿色家园，我还要宣传别人也来加入环保自愿者，最后一句，我们一定要环保，地球资源是有限的。

在我们日常生活中，好的环境是非常重要的，但有的人们保护环境上并不十分重视。

比如说,我们小区的二十二栋，白色垃圾到处都是：一片绿化带的一株小树上，居然挂着几个白色塑料袋，十分刺眼；有一颗大树下经常躺着几个白色的塑料饭盒。夏天，天气炎热，这些乱扔的垃圾就引来了一些蚊蝇在那里飞来飞去……这样，不但破坏了二十二栋的形象，还对住在那里的人们的身体健康十分不利。

当然，为了我们能有一个舒适的生活环境，环卫工人们天天早出晚归，他们辛勤劳动着，不管严寒酷暑，总是那么仔细地清扫着。但还是有人喜欢去破坏，不注意自己的行为，我们一定要去帮助他们改掉恶习。

很多孩子做得不错，他们都养成了好习惯。就像我们上学的那条路，它总是很干净的，因为我们经常有学生去清扫。学校里也是亮堂堂的，干干净净的。反而是大人们太随便了。

我想告诉所有人，我们的生活环境对每一个人来说都很重要。我们要爱护环境，每一个人都来保护环境，保护地球。

在新的世纪里，我们渴望美丽的地球，绿色的家园，湛蓝的天空，清新的空气。但是，由于人类的肆意破坏、污染、浪费，使地球变得千疮百孔、遍体鳞伤。人类受到了大自然的惩罚，逐渐意识到了环保的重要性。我们应该吸取教训，好好保护环境、清洁环境、美化环境，从我做起，从现在做起，为了地球，为了人类的将来，也为了让我们永远拥有一个美好的生存环境，我真诚地向大家发出如下倡议：

1、共同建设“节约型社会”，节约一滴水，节约一度电，节约一张纸。节约用水，用完水后及时拧紧水龙头，避免大开水龙头，提倡用脸盆洗手、洗脸；节约用电，电器不使用时应关闭电源；节约用纸，多用手绢、抹布，尽量两面使用纸张。

2、为减少空气污染、节约能源，尽量使用公共交通工具、自行车或步行。

3、为保护森林、矿产等自然资源，尽量购买使用再生材料制成的、可多次长期使用的商品；减少使用一次性纸杯、一次性木筷和餐盒等。

4、减少使用塑料袋，它是白色污染的元凶。

5、发展经济不能以破坏环境为代价，要把发展经济与保护环境放在同等的位置。

6、加强环保的宣传教育，从小培养环保意识，积极投入到保护环境的活动当中。

7、自觉保护生态环境，积极参与绿化美化活动。

地球只有一个，她的生命是脆弱的，不能因为我们为着眼前的发展和获得微小利益，以肆虐的行为，无“度”的获取，使原本已经脆弱的躯体更加脆弱！记住，保护地球，就是保护我们自己！

我喜欢我的家，我喜欢这环境，特别是我们小区对面的公园，因为站在我们阳台上，就可以感受到公园散发出的清爽空气。

我特别喜欢大自然，从小的时候爸妈就喜欢带我去公园玩。那时候的风景没有现在这么美，因为那时，人们保护环境的意识还很差，垃圾随地乱扔，尽管清洁员叔叔，时刻打扫，可还是看到一次性袋子满天飞，垃圾随处可见，草地上全是垃圾。

而现在人们的素质提高了，垃圾及时扔进垃圾箱，公园马上变成了有净有新的好景象，空气也清新了，公园在蓝天的衬托下显得更美了，小鸟无拘无束的飞翔，没有牵挂，没有烦恼，大自然也充满了欣喜，充满了生机。

人们为什么要破坏这么美丽的环境呢？让我们从自我坐起把！不乱扔杂物，不污染环境给人们送来美好的环境，送来无限的健康生活吧！
