Thanks for your last letter. Im so glad that you have been able (at last! ) to arrange a holiday in Australia. As I fear I wont be able to meet you at the airport when you arrive, nor will I be able to be home until later in the afternoon, so here are some instructions and suggestions.

There is a bus from the airport to the city. It is much cheaper than a cab. Take the bus to the city and ask to get off at Town Hall railway station.

To get to my place in the eastern suburbs you have three options. You can either take a cab, a bus or the train. I suggest you take the train, since the airport bus will leave you right at the station. Get off at Cliff Station. From there you can either walk to my place (about ten minutes) or take a taxi. Probably you should take a taxi as you will have luggage.

When you arrive at my flat, ring the intercom for Flat 2. My friend Lillian will be at home and she will open the front door for you and let you into my flat.

Presumably you will be tired and want to sleep. But if you feel like some exercise after that long flight, you could stroll down to Cooper Park, which is only ten minutes away ? you can see it from the window.

一天，万里无云，温暖的阳光照耀着大地。xx蹦蹦跳跳的去上学。在路上，他拿了一根可口的香蕉，津津有味的吃了起来。当他吃完最后一口，随手一扔，香蕉皮就躺到了地上，好像给美丽的大地加了一个小小的黑点。

走着走着，他忽然看见清洁工在扫地，只见他们左边扫扫，右边扫扫，不一会，地面上就干干净净了。看到了这一切，他立刻脸红了。想：“清洁工多辛苦呀!,如果我把香蕉皮捡起来，不是给清洁工减一下负担吗?”

今天，我学习了《绿色记事本》这一课。这节课主要讲述小奥茨和他的同学们的环保节能行为，通过学习这节课让我认识到了环保节能对我们生活的重要性，使我受益匪浅。回想一周自己的做法，内心深感惭愧，不由得涨红了脸。

星期一晚上我因为害怕而开了一夜灯，白白浪费了两度电，真不应该。

星期二我感冒了，不停地流鼻涕，一大张手帕纸只用了一次，其实完全可以分两次用的，我很后悔。

星期三我只因写错了一个字而将整张纸撕去，要知道造纸不仅需要大量的木材，还需要水呀，电呀，真是浪费！

星期四我的本子用完了，我毫不犹豫地将它扔进了垃圾桶。其实它的背面还可以当数学练习本呀！我没有做到物尽其用，心里很是懊恼。

今天是星期五，我从楼上看到门口的垃圾堆成了“小山”，空气也受到了污染，十分难闻。我为了节约用电，清除臭味，从14层高楼的步梯跑了下去，将它们扔进了垃圾桶，做了件环保的事。妈妈表扬了我，我真高兴。

保护环境，从我做起！环保节能，无处不在，以前的我不懂得这些事的重要性，现在我知道了，我会严格的要求自己增强环保节能意识，也希望大家都能够自觉地严于律已，从自己做起，从小事做起，为环保出一份力，我相信地球一定会更加美好！

在科技飞速的发展中，遥望我们的不远未来依然是那么美好。不过，在这茫茫宇宙之中，地球可是个脆弱的小家伙，如果你稍稍触痛了它，它就会非常生气，一个劲和你过不去，脾气可倔啦!不过呢，如果你愿意好好保护它，它会慷慨地给你意想不到的馈赠;但不可避免的，它偶尔也会小恙。只轻轻地一咳嗽，就成了一些人类很难防备的天灾了。这时，我们不仅需要尽可能地防患于未然，还需要学习一些重要的防灾知识和自救本领。如何应对突如其来的各种灾害,这些一定都要牢记在心,有时一个简单的行为甚至于一句话都会成为脱离险境的救命稻草!但还有一个观点很重要：灾难并不可怕。我们要能勇敢面对它，只要你不放弃生命，生命也不会放弃你。

怎样和灾难的地球相处?其实也很简单。“真正的天灾”是极少数的，因为大部分还是人类恶毒行为的并发症罢。好好的保护自然环境即可，真理就这么简单。

人们常说眼睛是心灵的窗户。窗户越明亮，我们看到的世界就越精彩。如果窗户落满了灰尘，我们将看不清这美好的世界。但很多人不重视保护自己的眼睛，导致了近视或弱视，给学习和生活带来很多不便。如果我们不保护自己的眼睛而导致失明，那么这扇心灵的窗户将会永远关闭。

近视的形成和个人的习惯有很大关系。有的同学玩电脑、看电视时间太长。有的同学写字姿势不正确，眼睛离书本太近。有的同学挑食，导致眼睛营养缺乏。有的同学做眼保健操的时候不认真，起不到保健作用。还有许多不良习惯都容易导致近视或弱视。

仔细想想自己也有这样的不良习惯，每次写完作业，我脑子里总是想打开电脑玩一会，结果玩起来就上瘾，有时妈妈叫我吃饭我都不愿意去。吃饭的时候我总是挑食，有肉就不吃菜，有菜就不喝汤。这些不良习惯经常会受到家长的批评，他们也经常提醒我要保护自己的眼睛。

爸爸经常告诉我，光学习好不行，视力也要好。很多工作都要求有一双好眼睛，比如飞行员、宇航员等。因为视力不好，将来不能做自己喜欢的工作，多么遗憾啊。现在很多同学都戴上了小眼镜，给学习和生活带来很多不便。庆幸的是我还没有近视，我一定克服掉不良习惯，做一个健康的小学生。

眼睛是心灵的窗户，我们要保护好自己的眼睛，让这扇心灵的窗户永远干净、明亮！

有山有水有河有树，多么美丽啊！但是，却被人类破坏的很厉害，我对这种破坏自己家园的行为感到十分愤怒。

为此，我提出了以下建议：

1、不要浪费水。水是我们的生命的泉源，没有了水，我们就没法子生存下去。所以，我们要节约我们身边的每一滴水。

2、节约用电。很多时候，我们可以看到这种浪费电的现象：一个房间里，风扇开了好几个，甚至开着空调；音响发出震耳欲聋的声音……但房间里却连一个人影都没有，原来是在另一个房间里打电话了。

3、不要乱丢垃圾。现在，我们不管是在大街还是小巷，都可以看到垃圾步步为营，这严重影响了美观，还污染环境。还有一种现象就是，不管是在哪条河，都可以看到，小河们已经失去了往日清澈见底的面貌了，水面上漂浮着塑料袋、饮料瓶等垃圾，以及让人看了恶心的动物尸体。这些动物尸体是居民们在家里抓到的老鼠啊什么的，抓住后就随手抛进了小河的“肚子”里。

在此，我呼吁大家：保护我们赖以生存的家园——地球吧。当水不再蓝时；叶不再绿时，天不在蓝时，云不再白时，空气不在新鲜时……人类要到哪里去生活？保护地球就是保护我们自己，让我们迅速动起手来，从身边的小事做起，保护地球吧！

衣服破了可以补，桌子坏了可以修，鞋子脏了可以洗，人有了病可以治，可是地球妈妈要是病了就无药可医了。所以我们一定要爱护地球妈妈。

地球妈妈已经46亿岁了，早在50万年前便生下了人类，妈妈一直用她那甘甜的乳汁抚养我们，直到现在。妈妈身上有青山，有绿树，有海洋，还有草坪和森林。真是个美丽而又伟大的母亲呀!

大家都直到，地球上只有植物才能吸收二氧化碳。科学家曾经计算过：3棵树一天吸收的二氧化碳相当于一个成年人呼出的二氧化碳。如果是这样，植物对人类台重要了。所以，我们以一定要好好保护植物。

由于现代工业的快速发展和人们生活水平提高，工厂越来越多，严重地污染了空气，导致大多数树木死亡，并直接危害戴地球妈妈和人类健康。

假如我是一名科学家，我一定要发明一种废气利用法，使这样废气不会危害人类健康，反倒会造福人。保护地球是每个人的责任，我们应该从小做起，从我做起。

今天我用时光机穿越到未来的3019年。

一千年以后的地球已经不复存在，替代而来的却是一座座宇宙空间站。其中有一座最大的空间站——中心站。我走进中心站，里面人山人海，原来这里要举办一场拍卖会。我想：我以前都只在电视里看过拍卖会，不知道这里的拍卖会，拍卖什么高科技。于是我也进去看了看。

拍卖会的人非常多，一个人走到拍卖台上说：“现在开始拍卖。第1件藏品——最后一滴干净的水。起拍价一百亿。”不久后，一阵叫价声传来：

“一百亿五千万！”

“一百亿九千万！”

“两百亿！”

叫价的是一位老人，他一直想要这滴水。“两百亿一次，两百亿两次，两百亿三次，成交！”拍卖师宣布。老人欣喜地拿着那滴水，开心地交了钱，走了。

第2轮拍卖马上开始，我想：高科技在这里终于亮相了吧！到底是什么高科技呢？我开心地等待着。忽然，那个人又说话了：“最后一件藏品——一片绿叶，起拍价格一千亿！”我听到其他人的赞叹：“原来这世上还有绿色的叶子。”

“两千亿！”

“五千亿！”

“九千亿！

这一片小小的绿叶，竟然拍到了九千亿的高价。“九千亿一次！九千亿两次！九千亿三次！成交！”拍卖师说，“拍卖会正式结束。”

我搞不明白，为什么他们会为一片叶子而争抢呢？我到外面去看了看，外面一点生机也没有，只有一些干枯的叶子，从枯萎的树上落下来。这里也没有清澈的河水，只有干涸的河床。

我现在才明白，保护环境有多么重要。这普通的一草、一木、一水是否会消失在科技发达的未来中，保护环境人人有责。

3月22日是世界环境日，我打开电视机想看看有关“世界环境日”的知识。

只见中央一台的左下角写着“世界环境日”。开始电视里播放着中国、英国、美国、新西兰……许多国家美丽的景色：嫩绿的树叶，五颜六色的花朵，清澈见底的溪流向湛蓝的大海奔去……，接下来是主要以海洋生物的环境来提醒我们人类。

现在世界上最大的海洋生物是蓝鲸百分之九十九都被人类捕杀了，因为鲸鱼的脂肪能给人们带来许多用处，所以人们才这样大量地捕杀鲸鱼。我想：“难道人类就这样看着一只只庞然大物这样死去吗？仅仅一张2—3公里的鱼网就足以网到上千的海洋生物，有时甚至上万条。人们可能现在还不知道，海洋给我们人类的东西是有限的。

我想：人类在海洋里种下了一个恶果，现在，它已经发芽了，等到它开花、结果，那个时候连我们自己也无法挽救了。造成这一切的是人类，能使大自然和以前一样美丽或更加美丽的还是人类自己。

They also suffered from many illnesses caused by smog.

Smog is the general expression of various higher-than-permitted suspended particulate matter (such as PM2.5) in the atmosphere,which express the state of air pollution .It contains fog and haze,both of them are disastrous weather. Fog consists of a large number of tiny water or ice crystals.It’s actually a harmless natural phenomena that makes visibility worse .Haze is air pollution in which is mixed up with dust, smoke and other dry particles. The components that make up haze may have negative effect on peoples health, especially for children and the old.

So it’s necessary to find out the reason why leads to smog and work out the resolution.If we trace the cause for smog weather ,the main points are natural causes that include windblown dust and manmade causes which include three aspects.Firstly,china s air quality standards are rather lax and evaluation factors are limited.Secondly,some enterprises just go for economic interests instead of observing relevant law and regulations.Obsolete equipment、industrial fuel burning and manufacturing operations are high likely to emit much wasted air.Thirdly,across our society ,relevant protection awareness has not built up.Just for the sake of convience to go out,people rely more and more on travelling and working by car while car is the main cause for smog.

To settle this problem,a series of meaures should be taken as follows.Primarily,we should establish a sound control system of smog. Not only can environmental protection departments strengthen air monitor,but government should enact more strict laws and regulations.Moreover,Reduce pollution sources is the fundamental solution to cut air pollutants. For example,we can reduce the amount of fuel vehicles or close down high polluting enterprises.Developing green and energy-saving energy can lower the emission of smog.Last but not least, People should do personal protection.They need to reduce the time for outdoor sports and pay attention to rest in smog days.Everyone all over the country should take measures to reduce the smog weather. The protection of the border is not a new problem for us, and our government has long proposed clear targets for governance. As every ordinary person in real life, although it is impossible to work directly in environmental protection, we can start from small things and start from me. Can you raise your hand when you see the tap in the bathroom? When the battery runs out, can you classify it instead of throwing it away? How about when shopping doesnt use ultra-thin plastic bags? ...... Small things are small, but they reflect how much environmental awareness we have.

Recycling one ton of waste paper can regenerate 800 kg of paper, can save 17 tree. 20 waste recycling boxes can create a beautiful pen container.
