在新概念三册中，对比论证的方法反复被运用到，至少出现了五次，分别在篇章L12，L23，L38，L41 和L54的第一段出现。如果对这五篇文章中的对比论证段落仔细研读，会发现这些段落有着几乎完全一样的结构，有规律可循，所以对比论证方法应该是三册学习中不可忽略的一个部分。

这里我们就拿第12课为例。对比论证出现在了第一段。作者在第一段开门见山提出了论点：Most of us have formed an unrealistic picture of life on a desert island（我们许多人对于荒岛生活有一种不切实际的想法）。之后作者讲了两种截然相反的想法：一种想法是imagine it to be a sort of paradise（认为荒岛是天堂）；另一种想法是Life on a desert island is wretched（荒岛生活很可怕）。最后一句话是个总结句。作者正是通过两种呈对比的想法来论证“人们对荒岛生活有不切实际的想法”这一观点。需要读者关注的是，在两种成对立的想法之间作者用了一句非常漂亮的过渡句：The other side of the picture is quite the opposite. （另一种想法恰恰相反）。于是，一个结构清晰严谨、论述有理有力的段落跃然纸上。

了解了对比论证之后，我们不妨思考下如何运用这种手法，毕竟学以致用才是我们的最终目的。如果针对当前的英语高考作文题，我们完全可以让它在我们的考场上发挥作用。这里以上海2004年和2005年的英语高考作文题为例，看看这一新概念三册中反复出现的手法如何作为应试技巧运用到考试中。

2005上海英语高考作文题：

古人云：“天生我材必有用”(There must be a use for my talent.)。通过描述你生活中的一件事，说明人各有所长，无论才能大小都能成为有用的人。

写作文首先要做的是审题，这个题目要求你在写文章时做到两点：你的观点是支持“天生我才必有用”；用你生活事例论证。如何引出自己的观点呢？我们可以运用对比手法，可以先就题中话题先找到两个对立观点，然后再抛出自己的观点。值得一提的是，考官在批阅一片作文时首先会注意考生是否偏题。那我们如何避免偏题呢？一个很好的方法就是在开头就告诉改卷老师你扣题了。比如笔者写下如下一段作为作文首段：

People have formed an unrealistic picture of their talents. Some imagine themselves to be unconquerably intelligent. On the opposite, others tend to consider themselves a drop in the ocean, powerless and useless. There is an element of truth in both ideas, but I am convinced that there must be a use to out talent, as it can be proved by my own experience.

先写人们对自己的天赋形成了不切实际的看法，然后写两种极端的看法：一种是认为自己绝顶聪明，另一种是自己如沧海一粟，微小无用。在这两个相反的观点之间有了on the opposite来过渡。这正是运用了对比论证的手法，但是别忘了上述的两点考题要求。在列举了两种相反的观点之后就可以抛出自己的观点：I am convinced that there must be a use to out talent.而后自然用过一个as it can be proved by my own experience的句子过渡到以下的事例对这一观点进行论证。如此一写，完全不用担心是否扣题的问题，因为在这一文章首段告诉了考官自己的观点，并且通过一个过渡句说明下文内容是起到论证作用的事例。当然不要忘记这里是通过对比的手法来引出自己的观点的。

上述高考题属于比较严肃的话题，如果遇到的话题涉及生活事件呢？下面再列举另一种风格的高考作文题。

老师要求你负责班级墙报(wall newspaper)工作并征求你的意见。在日记中表述你的决定并谈谈想法。

我们首先还是要捉摸清楚考题的要点：你的决心；你的想法。负责班级墙报貌似是个小话题，但是我们完全可以运用上对比论证的手法。比如在写自己的决心时，不妨先写一般人对这样一个老师指派的任务是何种态度，而后引出自己的决心。而在写一般人的态度时完全可以用上对比的手法。比如笔者写下如下一段作为作文首段：

People show different attitude when appointed to be in charge of wall newspaper. Those who regard the task as a great burden would decline it while those who long to serve their fellow students would accept it with great pleasure. As for me, it is a golden opportunity to practice myself, so when the challenge comes, I will accept it.

可以先用一句话总起人们会有不同的态度，而后写两个呈对比的观点：一种是认为这是个负担因而拒绝承担；另一种是渴望为民服务因而欣然接受。中间运用的过度是while，这样可以将呈对比的做法浓缩在一个句子里，句子结构的复杂性提升。然后通过as for me来表达自己的态度，也就是我的部分决心。

当然，不要忽略作文题中的另一个非常重要的要求，即该作文是以日记形式出现，所以不妨将将这一比较正式的段落放在文中而非文首。

人人都参与了这场战争，不出门就是为国家做贡献。虽然小孩不能够出门，但我们都有自己的计划。比如做作业，室内锻炼，上网课，预习课文和娱乐。还有一些小孩有自己的独特的方式。如弹古筝，做饭，做家务。

我每天宅在家里，妈妈是一名医生，因为不是相应科室，没有参与一线救援，但别人在休息时妈妈还在上班，妈妈也报名参加了第二批支援湖北武汉的医务人员。我们全家都支持，因为国家有难，匹夫有责。我想，假如妈妈去支援武汉了，我一定会在家里管好自己，好好学习，等着妈妈凯旋归来。

往年该是机放风筝的好时候了。新型冠状病毒却将武汉、及整个国家恶狠脖狠地拖入一场惨白色的心旋窝中，没有人，没有意任何人可以逃脱。恐惧啥，担心，不知所措弥漫誉在空气里的每一个角落。矗。似乎就在那么一瞬锐间，轰的一声，什么都昂乱了，学校停课、单位斋停工、公交车停运、武汉封城!原本熙熙攘攘的街道，充满欢声笑语的校姨园瞬间都变得死寂，街淹上少有的人都带着厚厚性的口罩，只露出一双双改眼睛小心翼翼地打量着珠世界，恨不得把整个人粥都包裹起来。封城!!!比病毒本洼身带来更多的恐惧。

武汉挺住!武汉加油!相信我的祖国经历暴风雨的洗礼，从这场没有硝烟的噩梦中醒来。我的祖国会更加优秀!更加坚强!更加强大!春暖花开时，一切都会好起来的!武汉加油!中国加油!

As is shown in the first picture, on a mountain of university tiredly climbs a college student, almost finishing his journey in the university, and awkwardly and surprisingly finding that he has to climb another much higher mountain -- hunting a job, bus as is shown below, in front of a post board for recruiting government officials stand an ocean of people, with only one in front of the board for hiring waiter. There has been a heated discussion about these pictures recently in the newspaper. Simple as the pictures are , they do demonstrate certain thought-provoking social phenomenon.

The pictures tell us the issue of hunting jobs for college students is increasingly and seriously important in current days. What’s more , individuals, organizations and even the whole society have been attaching due attention to this issue. On one hand, when facing the pressure of finding a job, students are struggling painfully. The burden can cause not only depression but also anxiety and such problems as isolation and solitude. One’s thought , creative thinking and exploration spirit, therefore, have been stifled by pursing measurable high scores and various certificates when confronting this harsh reality. On the other hand , that college students fail to change the conventional view on jobs and to adapt their goals to the reality deepens this problem. Were there no prompt and proper solution to this problem, never would we taste the happiness of the harmonious society.

What should be done to reverse this situation? For one thing, instead of just earning their degrees and high exam scores, college students are expected to cultivate their potentials such as creation, imagination and coordination. Such qualities, though cannot be measured by their college certificates, really matter in their prospective career. For another thing, the educational institutions are supposed to integrate more practical training in their programs so that more netpetent college graduates can be produced for our society. Above all, the new awareness that all jobs are equal in dignity and that fame and excellence can be reached at any occupation should be promoted in the whole society.

[学生就业和能力提高考研英语作文

近来我读了中国四大名著之《红楼梦》，读完以后，让我对它又有了重新的认识。

在书中，人物的性格塑造一大特色是正邪交赋，善恶相兼。正中我们常说的人无完人一样。它一般来说不表现纯粹的“善”人与纯粹的“恶”人。它的“正面人物”并非一切皆“善”，它的“反而”人物关非一切皆“恶”。

作者笔下的贾宝玉，他摈弃功名利禄，既不“留意于孔孟之间”，也不“委身于经济之道”，不但不“留意”不“委身”于此，而且对此予以激烈的抨击，每遇人劝他读孔孟之书，“谈些仕途经济的学问”，他就“只笔批驳诮谤”，说热衷于“读书上进”的都是“禄死之流”。他背叛他的阶级，他的父祖为他选定的人生道路，宁受死打也不回头，然而他只希望“每日只和姊妹丫头们一处，或读书，或写字，或弹琴下琪，作来吟诗……”。

林黛玉也是一个性格多样化的人物，她孤立无依傍的少女，向敌对的社会环境挑战追求和捍卫自己的爱情，表现得那样勇敢刚强，可又那样胆怯脆弱。

在书中，我感受到了人性格的复杂化，多样化，它真是文学的里程碑。

2020年初，一场疾病正从武汉往全国蔓延，在这场没有硝烟的战争中，由很多人正穿上防护服与病毒作斗争，而他们有一个共同的名字——逆行者。

何为逆行者?逆行者顾名思义是在困难中大家都后退时逆着人群冲向困难，迎战困难。在这些逆行者中，有知名的，也有不知名的，但他们都是英雄。

在这些逆行者中，有很多感人的瞬间：一对夫妻在中国的传统佳节时同时离开家乡共同奔赴疫情最重的武汉，他们在医院的走廊遇见，隔着厚厚的防护服认出了彼此，激动地凝视着对方，但只有一会，他们又各自到了自己的岗位。每个人都有家，上有年迈的父母，下有可爱的孩子，可一听到国家有危难，他们放下自己的小家，主动奔赴祖国最危险的地方，这种舍小家为大家的品质难道不让人感动吗?看，他们脸上被防护服勒出的痕迹;舍不得脱下紧缺的防护服12小时不吃不喝;为了多救治一名患者累的躺在墙角……这些事情都让我们感动!

逆行者们，你们辛苦了!但请你们记住，你们不是一个人在战斗，一方有难八方支援，我们停下出门的脚步，不让病毒往外扩散;各种生活物资、医疗物资源源不断地从全国各地送往武汉。我们永远站在一起!

中国自古以来就是一个很团结的民族。从神话中的愚公移山到08年的汶川地震、13年的非典，中华人民携手共进，度过了各种困难。俗话说：多难兴邦，多难显志，让我们共同努力，早日打败病毒，迎接春天的到来!

首先，创新需要有超前意识。黄汉清教授说过：“只有先声夺人，出奇制胜，不断创新新的体制，新的产品，新的市场和压倒竞争对手的新形势，企业才能立于不败之地。”其实，不仅在企业中，在生活中，在日常身边的小事中，这句话也同样有道理。在美国诺伊州的哈佛镇，有些孩子经常利用课余时间到火车上买爆米花。

一个十岁的小男孩也加入了这一行列，他除了可在火车上叫卖外，还在爆米花中掺入奶油和盐，使味道更加可口。当然，他的爆米花比其他任何一个小孩都卖得好——因为他懂得如何比别人做的更好。这个男孩就是摩托罗拉公司的缔造者保罗·高尔文。他的成功秘诀不正是在别人面前抢占了先机吗?他的创新精神不正是他成功的前提吗?所以创新需要有超前意识。

其次，创新需要模仿加改良。创新需要模仿不等于完全照搬照抄，而是根据前人的经验，通过改良，通过自己的思考来改进。所以说，创新不能完全抛弃传统，要有所扬弃，有所继承。

中国最年轻的全国性寿险公司的带头人，现任泰康人寿保险股份有限公司董事长兼首席执行官陈东升关于创新说过：“很多人把违背规律，按照自己的意志行事标榜为创新，结果是头破血留，这种案例太多了，所以我觉得还不如老老实实照葫芦画瓢。”他的这番话正是他的成功之路所总结出来的。

当初他是一个怀揣着武汉大学经济学博士文凭的普通人，尽管嘉德拍卖三年的创业历程已经使他从一个学者成功转型为一个商人，但1996年他站在保险业的大门口，陈东升还只是一个没有任何实践经验的学生，因此他决定把国外保险巨头书包年积累的先进做法先照搬过来，几年时间里，陈东升先后走访了21个世界顶级的跨国保险金融集团。

达到公司架构，营销模式，小到公司的装修风格，服务设施等，都被陈东升从国外带了回来。模仿让泰康站在了高的起点上，也让陈东升站在了中国保险业的制高点，所以有时候，创新是站在前人的肩膀上前进一小步，这一小步就是你的改良，你的创新，你的特点。

但是，创新不等于盲目尝试，其也要追寻规律。当代着名作家李开复说过：“创新并不重要，有用的创新才重要”。一个很有哲理性的寓言：一个猎物被抓住了，狮子还没有吃，狐狸如果想吃就得考虑考虑：狮子为什么不吃?是肚子不饿，不合胃口，猎物太小不屑一吃，还是这个猎物有毒，根本就不能吃?如果是狮子嫌猎物太小不屑一吃，

狐狸才可以上去饱食一顿，否则，后果只能是被毒死或被狮子吃掉。这个小小的寓言，不正寓意着如果创新不好就是自掘坟墓吗?所以，在我们创新的过程中，一定要遵循规律，量力而为，不可盲目。

所以说，创新并不简单，但有两点是至关重要的：一是不要囿于别人的成就，二是不能怕犯错。在现在这样弱肉强食的社会中，只有想在人先，做在人前，以变应变，一物降一物才能掌握胜机，立于不败之地。

从前，山冈上有一个小村庄。村庄里的人每天安居乐业：有的放羊;有的种田;还有的给奶牛挤奶……日子过得十分美好。

一年冬天，山冈上北风呼啸，雪花飞舞，村里的柴火也所剩无几。于是，伐木工便出动了。他们走进树林，挥起斧头，砍倒了一棵棵大树。一位伐木工走到一棵参天大树前，刚想把这棵树砍倒，耳边便传来了一阵苍老的呼救声：“求求你，不要砍倒我，好吗?”

伐木工低头一看，原来是眼前这棵树正在可怜巴巴地向自己求助呢!见到这番景象，他不禁冷笑道：“哼，你想让我不砍倒你，没门儿!要是不砍你，我们现在的美好生活怎么办?”

“但你如果砍倒我，村里的人都会遇上大的麻烦的!”

“胡说八道!”伐木工说完，便把树林里所有的树都砍倒了。

树被砍倒后，村民们都过得还不错。可日子一天天过去，人们越来越满足于自己现在的生活了，他们渐渐变得十分懒惰，每天只待在家中享受生活，却一点也没为今后的生活做考虑了。

一天下午，伐木工正准备睡午觉，万物之神——树之灵突然出现在了他的眼前。树之灵对伐木工说：“你要是再这么懒惰下去，村庄将会迎来前所未有的灭顶之灾的!”可伐木工没有一丝想要改正的想法，二话不说便把树之灵赶走了。

不久，一场巨大的沙尘暴来临了。只见荒芜的大地上飞沙走石，早已不见天日，没过几分钟，村庄便完全被漫天卷地般涌来的泥沙所覆盖了。伐木工呆呆地站在家中，心里想起了树和树之灵对自己说过的话，可现在去弥补已经迟了。霎时，村庄便消失得无影无踪。

伐木工说得没错，我们现在的美好生活是很重要的，但如果我们在享受现在的生活时不考虑今后的生活，那可是很可能会吃大亏的。
