In folklore, the term ”an eastern purple cloud is drifting” became a metaphor for auspicious events after a purple cloud was seen drifting eastward immediately before the arrival of an ancient philosopher, LaoZi, to the Hanghu Pass. Bricks and scarlet pigmentation used on the palatial walls came from linqing in Shandong Province .Timber was cut ,processed and hauled from the northwestern and southern regions.

Qing emperors used this building to announce the beginning of the new year. Qing Emperor Qianglong changed the original name of this announcement ceremony from ban li(announcement of calendar)to ban shou(announcement of new moon )to avoid coincidental association with another Emperor` s name, Hongli, which was considered a taboo at that time. Qing Dynasty emperors also used this place to hold audience and for other important ceremonies. For example,when the imperial army returned victoriously from the battlefield ,it was here that the Emperor presided over the ceremony to accept prisoners of war.

It functions both as decoration and fire control .The five bridges spanning the river represent the five virtues preached by Confucius :benevolence, righteousness, rites, intellence and fidelity. Second, i will introduce my major in the university.My major is Biological Engineering in *** University.It has a great relationship with biology scince.Their relationship can be shown with an example: Just like a river,biology science,which often finds new discoveries and theories, is at the head of the river.And my major,which lays more stress on practical use, seems to be at the end of it.When both of them interact well enough,the discovries and theories in biology science can be soon turned into products in all of the modern industry.

点点是一只金毛。还记的2007年冬天，正下着鹅毛大雪，它的母亲把它生下来，一个月以后我去姥姥家把它抱了回来，但它分外的小，它就是两斤左右，点点在我家生活了一年左右，因为我家没有黄土，点点的大小便也成了一个问题，无奈之下妈妈不得不把它寄存在姥姥家，点点刚走的的那几天，我无时无刻不在想它，干什么事都无精打彩，时间久了，我也渐渐淡忘了。

至从有一天，妈妈说：好久没去姥姥家了，今天去看看吧，这使我猛的想起了被我遗忘的好朋友点点，吃过午饭，我们去了姥姥家，一见面，我还差点没有认出，当初像“豆芽形”的小狗，现在却长得又粗又高，看起来威风凛凛的，鼻子上也有一点淡淡的红色，显得格外精神。

在回家的路上，我想了许久，为什么当初的小狗到了姥姥家就长大了?也吃胖了呢?我想是因为姥姥家的饭很合它的胃口吧。呵呵，我家的小点点可爱吧。
