It falls on the twenty- fifth of December and has the same importance as Chinese New Year to people with English backgrounds. The celebration is for the birth of Jesus Christ, who is the son of God in Christianity. Now days Christmas is no longer only celebrated by the Christians, but by most people from all over the world.

On the twenty- fourth of December everyone gets excited for it’s the day before Christmas which is called Christmas Eve. The children are usually sent to bed early and are warned that “Santa Claus will only come and give you a present if you be good.” The younger kids actually believe that Santa will come down the chimney on the sleigh that’s pulled by his reindeers. Food like short bread and beer are prepared for Santa when he comes, however most times parents just eat them. 位于山西省晋中的平遥古城，在去年我曾有幸得以一见，不同的平遥古城。

何为不同?我见的平遥古城是在雨中。有人说：“平遥古城大到你三天都看不完，其中的景色需要自己领略。”

早上的天空灰蒙蒙的，让人猜不透老天心里想的什么，压抑的透不过气。果不其然，天空飘飘洒洒下起了小雨。

平遥古城的大门保存完好，用一块块青砖拼接而成，用手抚摸，用心感受，凹凸不平的触感，略带清凉，就像是它这几千年来所经历的沧桑，让人不禁想象这古城在几千年是怎么样的。

走上拐角的青石板，上面覆盖着一层薄薄的绿色毯子，在雨水的的滋润下，显得格外引人注意。上到城墙最顶部，靠在边缘，总览这山川景色。宏观的平遥古城，像是浓缩的一个精致模型，让人挪不开眼。一条条繁华大街缩成纵横交错的直线，人又成了一个个五颜六色的点。

下着蒙蒙小雨，人们多匆忙的穿梭于各个景点之中。走进第一个景点，穿过门，梦回清初。

红色斑驳的门，网格状的窗，青色的水缸中，像线一样汇入。蒙蒙的小雨，若忽略这拥挤的行人我大概以为来到了新的一个世界。随着拥挤的人流，我如水中的一条鱼，被挟着向前。穿过通道，很快我们来到了一个屋子。可谓是一环套一环呐!没想到屋子里又别有一番天地。

屋子正正前方挂着一副字，用泛黄的牛皮纸装裱而成的。走近一看，原来写着镖局暗语——俗称黑话啊!最吸引人的两句便是：好美一池水，水里没有鱼。当时我冥思苦想，绞尽脑汁也想不出来表达什么意思。再往下一看，才恍然大悟。原来是贼人和镖师的对话。“院子里有这么多财务”“没有多余的给你。”……看完后令人捧腹大笑，因为下雨而产生的阴霾一扫而空。但我也不得不感叹古代人民的智慧头脑啊!镖局的指责为了保护人的财务或人身安全。为什么又有暗语呢?很简单，树大招风，为了避免贼人盯上财物。正是因为这起源于清朝的镖局，才有了后来的快递。所以说镖局是快递的鼻祖。

有镖局自然也要有票号。走了很长一段路，身上的雨衣被水浸透了，鞋底也进了水，但兴奋却没有因此变淡。日升昌是现代中国银行的鼻祖，果然名不虚传。地下金库里，摆放着整整齐齐的一个个金元宝，散发着光芒。

我不禁想起曾在镖局看过的暗红色箱子，黯淡无光，甚至还有着裂痕。但谁能想到这里面竟装着无数钱财。一个破败的小车和一个不起眼的箱子，里面竟别有天地。任谁也无法想象。这样一来，就保证了安全。

后来，我们也吃了很多特色小吃。坐在馆子里，吃着特色小吃，在这雨中，欣赏着百年前的与现代不同的建筑特色。

看惯了现代的高楼大厦，身处在百年前的民间建筑中，沉浸在那种古典美中。看镖局，看票号，看城门，无不有着几百年历史雕琢下那历史气息的浓郁。古城啊，你的一举一动无不牵连着我的心啊!

自那一次雨中观赏，它的模样便深深印在了我的心底。

遗憾的是这一次只观赏完一半的平遥古城，期待我们的下一次见面。

今天上午，我和快乐作文的同学们以及老师去航天绿园草莓采摘园去摘草莓。在路上，同学们有说有笑，有的在做小游戏，有的说：“什么时候到啊?”还有的说：“大棚是什么样子的?”而我却在默默地想：在寒冷的冬天，草莓是怎么长出来的呢?我一定要去探个究竟。

Many animals are in danger of dying out. As is shown in the chart, we can

see the number of animal species decreases faster and faster and this trend will

continue. From 1980 to 2010, at least 1 million animal species have disappeared.

Worse still, more and more wild animals are in great danger. It is not a piece

of sensational news; it is a fact, a harsh reality. Unfortunately, we may not

see these animals in the near future.

From the second picture, we can find some reasons. Why is the number of

animal species declining year by year? Apparently animals have become victims of

fashion industry. Animal skin has been used to make fashionable clothes and

these clothes sell at a high price. So some greedy people begin to kill animals

in a large quantity. This irresponsible behavior not only breaks the balance of

nature but also endangers the living environment of human beings.

As far as I am concerned, something must be done to stop this illegal

action. We believe "no buying, no killing". First, we must make concerning laws

to protect these animals in danger. Second, we must take some measures to

protect animals effectively. Animals are our friends and part of our

environment. Third, we should raise peoples awareness to protect animals and

Everyone has a family. We live in it and feel very warm. There are three persons in my family, my mother, father and I. We live together very happily and there are many interesting stories about my family.

My father is a hard-working man. He works as a doctor. He always tries his best to help every, patient and make patients comfortable. But sonetimes he works so hard that he can’t remember the date.

My mother is a woman with a bad memory. She always does a lot of housework, but sometimes she makes mistakes out of carelessness. For example, one day, she washed clothes in the washer, after the washer finished the work, she found she hadn’t filled the washer with water.

Now let me tell you a funny thing: one day, father wanted to get up early as usual, buthe wasn’t able to do that, because he hadn’t set the alarm clock the night before, so when he got up, he did everything in a hurry. After father left, mother said to me mysteriously, "He will come back soon." "Why?" I was greatly surprised. "Because today is Sunday, his holiday!" Just as mother said, father came back home soon, and went to bed again--he was too tired.
