How to Make Friends

It’s hard to makefriends if you stay alone all the time. It’s easier to

make friends whenyou have similar interests. Look at people in the eyes when you

talk to them. Don’t be afraid to show people whatyou are really good at. Talk

about the things you like and do best. Be a goodlistener. Let people talk about

themselves before talking about yourself. Be friendly to a lot of people. Try to

help your friends when they are in trouble because a friend in need is a

friendindeed. That way you’ll have a bigger group to choose from and havemore

chances to make friends.

As you may know the Spring Festival is falling on February 1st this year. Its the most important holiday in China and offers the best occasion for family reunion. However, over the past 3 years I missed the reunions due to tight work schedule. Now that I have wrapped up my work for this year, I would like to go back to my hometown to pay filial piety to my parents and help my sole brother prepare his wedding on January 28th.

In Haimen there is a park. It’s a big and beautiful park. It has two gates. They are the North Gate and the West Gate. Many people park their bikes in front of the gates.

There is a shop at the North Gate. When you go into the park through the North Gate, you will find a large square on your right and you will see lots of trees and flowers around you. In the west of the park, there is a playground.

Sometimes some children fly kites on it and some people sit on the grass and chat. In the middle of the park, there is a lake. There are many boats on it. There is a hill in the east of the park.

The park is very beautiful. I love it very much. Will you come to visit it some day?
